Main house and guest house for your large group. This beautiful and unique homes sit on over 17 acres on Nutty Brown Road. This property is in an extremely desirable location close to wineries, restaurants, breweries, distilleries, wedding venues and only 4 minutes away from the newly developed Belterra Village. Come and get your get away and still be close to everything!! Only 8 miles away to downtown Dripping Springs and 17 miles away from downtown Austin. Simply the best of both worlds!!
The property is just minutes away from the original Salt Lick (restaurant and cellars) and Fall Creek Vineyards. Other attractions very close to the property are located in Belterra Village. Belterra Village is a newly developed commercial area with restaurants such as The League Tavern, Torchy’s Tacos, Pieous, The Switch BBQ, Hat Creek Burger Company, Jersey Mike’s Subs and Sky Cinemas (eat-in cinema with a beer garden outdoors). If your plan is to relax, they also have a wonderful massage, yoga and tea bar called Serasana. If you need to stock up on some wine or liquor, Spec’s is located in this development as well. Belterra Village is only 3-4 minutes away from the property by car. In addition, all beautiful Austin's swimming holes are within reach!!! in town for a wedding

The house was nice and accommodated a large group well. The AC worked great and kept the house very cool. There were lots of extra perks like outdoor games for the kids, extra tables and chairs, and plenty of extra bedding and blankets. The roll away beds in master bedroom were great too and allowed all our family to have a bed.

Eleven of us had a wonderful time at The Merlowe. The property setting is rustic but beautiful and the house and bunkhouse had plenty of room for our gathering. It was very convenient to many local restaurants and cute downtown shopping in Dripping Springs.

Great property, it was close to The Arlo where our daughter got married.

The rental process was easy and the host is incredible. The main house and guest house fit our family with room to spare we had 8 adults and 2 children. Our daughter was married at The Arlo which was also great And just minutes away. We enjoyed our stay.

Amazing spot in the hill country for groups!

What an incredible property!! We used the house as a home base for our wedding party for the weekend. Was a perfect layout for a large group - and with the two houses we were able to keep the bridesmaids and groomsmen separated the day of the wedding. The property itself is beautiful and has a lot of great features. Would definitely come back!

EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS!!!

I rented this property for a guys getaway weekend, and we couldn’t have had a better experience. The 17 acre property is spectacular! Large BEAUTIFUL oak trees all around the homes, felt private but also very open and spacious, and both homes were very nice and just as advertised online. We spent a lot of time on the back patio enjoying the view, playing yard games in the front, and sitting around the fire pit at night. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and would HIGHLY recommend to anyone considering renting. Thank you Claudia for a wonderful experience!

Beautiful Gateway

This house was the best house for our group. It was everything we were promised and more. Lot of bedding options. The house was the clean and Claudia was very easy to get ahold of and always made sure our stay was what we wanted. It would’ve been much beautiful if the place is mowed in the backyard. I would 100% recommend this place!!

Brother’s Wedding Weekend

We spent 3 nights at the Merlowe House for my little brother’s wedding which was held nearby. It was absolutely perfect for our group. We had plenty of space and neighbors were far far away. We even had the ability to place all of the groomsmen in the extra house and kept the bridal party in the main house for the wedding day. Claudia was a perfect host and provided immediate responses. I highly recommend the Merlowe House for any family gathering no matter how big or small. =)

Rustic and lovely

We had a wonderful short stay at the Merlowe. It is very clean and comfortable, well decorated and in a beautiful pastoral setting. The deck and fire pits were where we spent most of the days. Claudia was a very responsive and considerate host. If you plan to do a fair bit of cooking I’d advise bringing seasonings otherwise we found everything we needed for our large group of 10. We hope to go back again and next time explore a few of the nearby wineries and distilleries. This is an amazing rental for a larger group!!

Our Stay at Merlowe

Our stay at Merlowe was great! Claudia was wonderful to work with and very helpful. We hosted our son's rehearsal dinner in the backyard and it was the perfect location and setting. The home and guest house are both lovely. Highly recommend this VRBO!

Peacful and beautiful

The property was very nice, lots of outdoor space for the kids to play and perfect for our crew of 15. Claudia was a great host. She offered dining suggestions for the pre-wedding diner at Pieous which was delicious. She was responsive and checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. It was great!

loved this property for our weekend getaway...sleeping arrangements perfectly accommodated our large group with enough privacy for each family. We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the deer run through the clearing below. We were in the area for my daughter's wedding celebration at a nearby venue. Tranquility and perfection!

My family and I absolutely loved our stay the Merlowe!!! The property is so beautiful!! It’s just like being in a tranquil country setting just minutes away from all the creature comforts. As we pulled up to the property we were met by several deer and one fawn nursing. It could not have been choreographed better. The home is itself is elegant yet comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with anything you might need. Once you open the frig your greeted with several yummy goodies. Little things like having enough coffee and creamer to get your morning started on day one really means a lot to me. The bathrooms are all well stocked with clean towels and enough soap and shampoo to get your going. The view from the back deck is wonderful and you are sure to see plenty of wildlife. Or you can walk down and enjoy the tree swing or the comfortable hammock. We cannot wait to go back!!!
