Cozy renovated classic Cape cottage a short walk to Forest Beach

This cute 2 bedroom 1 bath cottage was recently completely renovated inside and is bright, clean and cozy. It is located on a quiet side street .4 miles away from Forest Beach and walking distance to beautiful trails and conservation land where you can watch the osprey and sea birds. It is a direct walk the beach, no busy roads to cross. It is walking distance to popular Pisces restaurant and Talkative Pig, about 1/2 mile to the Cape Cod Rail Trail, and a ten minute drive to downtown Chatham or Harwich. The ferry to Nantucket is just 2 miles down the road. The master bedroom has a king size bed, the second bedroom has a twin over full size bunk bed. It is ideal for a couple or a couple with 1-3 children, or two adult couples. The common space has a great couch and 50 inch TV, Roku and Apple TV. The outside deck has a gas grill to cook on enjoy eating outside. The yard has a hammock to lounge on.
Please note we will consider 1 well-behaved dog for an additional fee, please inquire. We also have 5 adult bikes available to rent.

This is a very cute up-to-date cottage that is in close proximity to a beautiful beach. It is kid and dog-friendly. It was a comfortable and convenient place to spend a long weekend. And the owner was very communicative, and helpful throughout the booking, pre-arrival, stay and departure. An easy and charming stay!

Perfect cozy house near beach

The house was very clean and well stocked with linens and kitchen items. The home was a quick walk to the beach and in a lovely quiet neighborhood. We had a great stay!

Wonderful stay!

This home had everything we needed for a week's vacation. The host was very friendly, communicative and very responsive in answering any questions we had. We traveled with our dog and it was nice to see food and water bowls for her upon arrival. Conveniently located near a beautiful beach, and a short distance from many dining and shopping options. We would love to stay here again next year!

Peaceful, clean, comfortable, excellent location

The neighborhood was so peaceful and friendly. Our dog enjoyed daily walks and excursions. It was so nice to have a easy option to stroll down to Forest Beach beach on a whim without having to get in the car. Another option is Red River Beach which is a very short drive. The location is really excellent. It's close to the beach and also close to great restaurants and things to do. The house itself was very clean and comfortable. The king bed was terrific. The A/C did a wonderful job keeping us comfortable. Meaghan proactively made sure everything was good and we appreciated her communication. We are totally satisfied and highly recommend this cottage!

Short but lovely stay

The property was as described, and while we didn’t spend much time there due to beautiful weather that had us outside exploring and sightseeing, it was great for our family of five (2 adults, 3 small kids). Meaghan was very proactive in her communication and very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Stay in Cape Cod

The cottage was just the right size for my husband and I and our Lakeland Terrier. We enjoyed walks through the neighborhood to Forest beach with our dog. It is centrally located, national seashore beaches are 30 min away and Chatham is beautiful. We also enjoyed the resteraunts at the end of the street. Communication and check was good.

Very clean, well equipped home. Communication from the owner was excellent and prompt. We stayed here with our two teenaged children and pup. Quiet, very nice neighborhood with a short walk to the beach which was a wonderful way to start the morning. We had a fun, relaxing time . We would highly recommend this property to anyone who would like to be in a quiet area but, a short drive to a lot of the most beautiful beaches and attractions. We were All very comfortable and happy we chose this property. We appreciated being able to bring our pup along as well.

Cozy, Comfortable and Clean

My husband and our GoldenDoodle spent a few nights over Thanksgiving at this adorable house. We love this location and part of the Cape-- this is a quiet area with close access to Forest beach and a few nice restaurants within walking distance. You can tell the care that went into the recent renovation. The house is so cozy with lots of light coming in. The kitchen was nicely designed and open and we enjoyed cooking our Thanksgiving dinner while watching football on the 50' TV. The bed in the Master room was one of the most comfortable we ever slept on! The owner, Meg, was professional and easy to deal with when booking and we would highly recommend this house. Thank you for making this such a lovely Thanksgiving stay. We can't wait for a return visit! Cyndi and Patrick Ferguson

Hurricane wedding

We came to Chatham for a wedding and a few extra days of fishing and relaxation. The house is in a great location, literally minutes from everything we wanted to see and where we needed to be. The house was the perfect size for my husband, me and our springer spaniel. The house was well stocked, very clean and comfortable. I appreciated the lovely decorating of the home. Not kitschy at all! Lovely photographs of the local sites. Hurricane Lee blew through and we were without internet, Meg texted the offer of another property on the same street that has a generator. It was a really lovely gesture and I appreciated the offer. We were fine and decided to stay where we were. Beds were comfy and the linens were soft and comfortable too. I loved the duvet covers over the comforter which are laundered between guests. The weather kept us off the beach but it was a five minuter walk and the house had towels and loungers to use. We look forward to coming back in the spring and hopefully enjoying some nice weather. I have already put this property in my favorites file!

Fabulous Place for a Cape Cod Experience

We came here for a few days stay. Perfect place with lots of cooking supplies and amenities. Size was great for 3 adults. Could have had one more adult with us comfortably. Hosts were great. We would come back.

Quiet, convenient and comfortable

Meghan was a very good host - very accessible and accommodating. The neighborhood was quiet (March) and close to a long and clean beach. The house is small but had everything needed. It was close to many restaurants and a good central part of the Cape .

So close to Forest Beach!

Great location for us to explore Chatham, the outer cape, beaches, restaurants and the rail trail. We had a wonderful vacation week and recharged our batteries. Very pet-friendly and the hosts were so helpful - always available to answer any questions.

Charming Chatham Cottage

This was the perfect location for me. The beach and conservation area were a short walk from the house. The cottage was in excellent condition as well. I felt completely at home and comfortable there.

Perfect Chatham cottage!

We stayed here for just over a month and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The cottage had all of the necessities and comforts of home - and a close walk to Forest Beach and a beautiful conservation area. The outdoor shower, back patio, and hammock were favorites - and we hope to be back again very soon! Thanks so much for hosting us and all of the sweet touches to make us feel comfortable.

Clean and Comfortable Cape Cottage

The booking process was really easy and Meaghan was always helpful leading up to and throughout our stay. Really quick to respond and very knowledgeable of the area. The cottage also had a binder full of information for us to review for more ideas and restaurants. When we arrived the cottage was very clean and had all the little things you want to have when on vacation (but don’t want to travel with). For example, the cottage had ample towels, kitchen ware, a grill, kitchen and bath soaps, dish soap, and comfortable linens. Because of the cleanliness of the cottage and the comfortable furniture (great master bed!) and linens we felt at home during our stay. We also loved that this cottage was pet friendly! Our pup Theo is part of our family, so we love when places are accepting. In addition, the location of the cottage was fantastic. Close walk to Forest Beach, short trail to a conservation, and a short drive to Main Street Chatham and Chatham Lighthouse. The neighborhood was quiet and filled with the quintessential Cape Cod style homes. Minor things for improvement is the shower can leak water on the floor if you are not careful with how the shower head is positioned. Also some of the floorboards are uneven. But these small things did not impair the comforts of our stay. My husband and I traveled here in February with our mini-sheepadoodle Theo for a winter vacation / valentines. We found plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy (lighthouses up the cape, beaches, and Cape Cod villages) and were able to return to a warm and comfy cottage. We even got to experience a trail on the beach in the snow leading up to a lighthouse (Harding’s Beach to Stage Harbor Light - 9 minute drive from the cottage). I know we won’t forget our trip and we can’t wait to return to explore more of the Cape in the warmer months!

Can’t wait to go back!

This was our second time spending our summer vacation here. We love it! The house is perfect for a family, including a furry member! Super clean and felt safe during the whole Covid mess. We love the location, easy walk or drive to multiple beaches, nice neighborhood for walks and easy access to town! Meg is a great host, very easy to communicate with! We had a wonderful week and our daughter is already asking when we can go back!

Chatham, MA Cape Cod Winter

We are biased. This was our second time back in a few short months. Everything was perfect! We will be back again. Location, location, location. Beach, restaurants, shopping, hiking, its all three minutes away. Our highest recommendation for this cozy beach house, we think its more fun and relaxing in the off season.
