Beautiful, spacious, modern, private, 3 bedrooms, 3 bath home on CARTER LAKE in Downtown Omaha. Fast 1 mile to Berkshire Hathaway meeting, Omaha CHI Health Convention Center, College World Series and Charles Schwab Ball Park, Omaha Old Market District, Casinos. Next to Omaha Airport, and Shoreline Golf Course. Large upper deck and covered pation, family room with bar, playroom, large living room with fireplace, formal and casual dining rooms, 3 full baths (one en suite with jacuzzi), full equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms ( 3 queen beds). Washer/dryer. Quiet cul de sac with off street parking for 3-4 cars..

Guests have total access to the home, and we live in Omaha if help is needed. Large living spaces and privacy for one - three couples or a family to enjoy (bedrooms and baths on upper and lower levels). Convenient amenities and child friendly for a relaxing stay. The location is ideal for easy access to the main attractions and nightlife in Omaha and Council Bluffs. Fast Uber/Lyft service. Large deck and yard space. Canoe and paddle boat available. Ideal if you are looking for a seaside and lake house decor setting in landlocked Nebraska. Each is themed in seaside and woodland decor the upper and lower levels respectively.

We limit total number of overnight guests to 6 please. We do not allow the use of our home for events or entertaining more than 6 outside guests for more than normal social periods. We do not allow the use of our home for large luncheons or dinners.

Please be aware that for security and safety reasons, the exterior only [front entrance and drive and lower patio, backyard and lake front (excluding the deck)] are monitored for activity.

We strive for 24-36 hr lapse between reservations and follow recommended cleaning standards.

Family Weekend

We enjoyed the location. Easy drive to all the activities we wanted but still tucked away from the busyness. We appreciated being able to prepare our own meals and the kitchen offered all the appliances, utensils, etc we needed. The deck provided a great place to hang out as a family. Communication was excellent from hosts.

Wonderful getaway!!!

This stay was by far the best one yet! Our whole family enjoyed our stay, the hosts were very kind to even shovel the driveway which was an absolute game changer. The location was excellent and very close to downtown.

Family and football

This was a really nice house, clean, well equipped and the perfect amount of space. We chose it because of the close proximity to our brotherā€™s home. We came to visit and go the Husker game-it was a great long weekend!

Wonderful Place

The hosts are gracious and very quick with communication. The property is as well maintained as any Iā€™ve seen. Careful attention has been paid to every detail. The hosts thought of everything and provided above and beyond what we needed. We are repeat visitors and hope to return again.

Fantastic. My grand girls loved it. They did not want to leave.

True to pictures. They had anything you could need. Very clean and relaxing. We spent a lot on deck watching the grandkids playing. Not far from the Zoo which it is a must to go see. I will recommend to anyone to stay there.

Great Family Time

The hosts have several added amenities to make the stay comfortable and fun! From the assortment of themed dishes to choose from for each meal to indoor and outdoor entertainment options. Breakfast on the deck with the beautiful view was enjoyed by all. The beds were comfortable and the house is spacious. We had 3 couples and the house allowed us each our own bathroom. The host was very responsive to any questions we had. We would definitely stay again!

Fun family adventure

Me and my four kids ages 6-12 were passing through on our cross country road trip. This home was a welcoming haven. You could tell the hosts really cared about their guests- there were ample supplies and the beds and linens were comfortable. My children loved playing in the paddle boat and in the play room downstairs. The kitchen was a bit tight but had everything we needed. The hosts provided customized recommendations for us and binders of helpful info as well. It was a beautiful stay.

Awesome spot

Our family enjoyed this home right on the water. Perfect for young families. Lots of toys, games, and kids activities on the property. The paddleboat was a big hit with the little kids. Great location in proximity to downtown, old market, and the zoo. Wonderful hosts. Would highly recommend. Regarding the zoo: we tried to go before school let out for the summer. The crowds were noticeably less than usual. Additionally, try to buy a season pass to your home zoo and use the reciprocal program for half off tickets. This particularly helps if you can only do half days because of nap times. Aquarium is fantastic.

Wonderful home, peaceful and convenient!

Traveled with my family for weekend trip to go to the zoo, and enjoy the old market area. House is wonderful, spacious with all the amenities we could need and more, convenient to downtown and the zoo, just a short drive. Beautiful peaceful neighborhood, house was fantastic, would definitely stay there again!

Perfect family retreat

The stars of the show were honestly Harold and Barbara. My husband and I were traveling with our son and his daughter. It was our first trip with our granddaughter and we wanted her Easter to be memorable. Every question I posed was answered thoughtfully and with careful consideration of the fact we were traveling with a 3-year old. From restaurants, to activities, to playgrounds, they gave amazing advice and insight and practically planned our trip. But the next star in the constellation was the house! Though we had a full weekend planned, once we got to the house our granddaughter did not want to leave. Her eyes grew big at the sight of the toy room and the playscape and the stay unspooled perfectly, if not too quickly. The house was spotless and the kitchen very well equipped. It was a delightful experience from the moment we booked to the time we checked out.

Perfect home away from home

Great spot for a couple of days overnight in Omaha. Property feels like home as the hosts go overboard to stock the home with everything you need and more. Great fishing off their backyard dock and literally minutes away from downtown Omaha.

Wonderful property for family

The home was so well equipped with extra blankets, snacks, and indoor games for the kids. I was worried the older kids woild be bored because we were unable to enjoy being outside due the the drop in temperature while we were there, but the kids stayed in the basement, playing board games that the host provided. The home was clean and in a quiet neighborhood. We will definitely be staying there again.

This property is very well kept. Everything was very clean. Itā€™s spacious with lots of special touches. The owners thought of everything. The kitchen is wee equipped. The outdoor areas have lots of space. There is plenty of comfortable seating both inside and out. The area was quiet. The owner was excellent about getting right back to us anytime we contacted them. Beautiful home on water near downtown

Beautiful home on the canal. The owners have literally thought of everything you could need and provided it - and the house is beautiful down to the most plush bathroom rugs! We loved sitting on the deck and just relaxing. It was Labor Day weekend with highs of 100 and we could still sit out at 4 pm and enjoy a glass of wine and it was beautiful - so relaxing. Very spacious, new carpeting (or felt that way anyway!). Tons of extra blankets, games, coffee and creamer. Having a separate bathroom for each bedroom was wonderful too. Also great communication from the owners. We have found our place to stay in Omaha!

Long weekend away

Everything was as advertised. My family and I stayed for a long weekend in order to visit the Omaha Zoo! It was great to have such a nice place to return to after a long day at the zoo. My kiddo enjoyed all the amenities in and outside the house. The host was super responsive and communicated well. I would recommend it to others.
