Prairie Lake is relatively quiet lake, great for paddling and fishing. The gradually sloping beach is perfect for kids to swim, launching kayaks from, or just to relax in an Adirondack chair and enjoy the lake breezes. There is plenty of lawn space for games, fire pits to gather around, and a large deck for outdoor dining.
The peninsula extends out to the East, making it the perfect spot to watch the moon rise and track across the Southern sky. If you're lucky enough to catch the Northern Lights, the sky to the North is beautifully dark. We mention Summer activities quite often, but Spring, Fall, and Winter all offer memorable experiences here as well.
Whether you're visiting to marvel at the fall colors, warm up with a weekend of sauna sessions, or to jump in a frozen lake, we invite you to make Mallard Point your own.
