With 60 feet of private beach and 100 feet of boat docking space your choices of activities are endless (2 each waterslide - one on the dock the other on a raft). If you like water sports, you can swim, boat, fish, sail or water-ski. If not you can enjoy the flowers in the garden and the awesome sunsets. Bring the family to the lake and plan on having a vacation you'll always remember. The views from the attached decks are fantastic. The beach is just 200 feet from the home. (no roads to cross)The only thing you need to bring are the groceries and your clothes - all the cooking utensils, the outdoor grill, lawn furniture are provided. Inside the tastefully decorated home, that has a Sub Zero refrigerator, microwave, Wolff six burner gas range, dishwasher and washer and dryer machine along with 8 TVs. 5 Bedrooms - BEDROOM LAYOUT: 1st Fl. King, 2nd Fl. King & Queen, 3rd Fl. King, NEW for 2022: above the garage is an additional bedroom with a new queen and a bunk bed (QUEEN & FULL) - two entries from within the house. House has 3 Full Bathroom 1 on each of the 3 floors. Enjoy the screened-in, outdoor Gazebo with two seats that swing .

Great Lake

I have vrboed for many years and this house was the most well stocked house I have ever been to. Ray was very nice and responded quickly whenever I had a question. Beautiful location!

Such a great location and house!!

This house had everything! The rooms were all so nice. The lake is right there with everything you might need. The kitchen was super well stocked with pots, pans, and appliances. There was even an entire closet full of games and sports equipment which my kiddos were SO excited about. Highly recommend!

Nice stay at the lake with family

We had a really nice week. The house was comfortable for 7 adults and a baby. It was extremely well-supplied and clean. The owner was responsive throughout booking and stopped by to introduce himself at the beginning of the week. It did seem that the house could use a little maintenance (leaky dishwasher, wine fridge out of order, rattly oven door, 3rd floor shower partially out of order). Just as an FYI for those looking to book, first floor master/shower was great for my older parents but not sure if they would have been able to manage the stairs/upstairs showers. We definitely enjoyed the big deck, the hammock, and fishing in the lake the most.

Laura, I was thrilled to hear you had a nice week at the "Luxury Waterfront" and your comments regarding that iI as the owner was very responsive throughout your booking. Personally as an owner I feel it is my obligation to provide all our guests with a facility that extremely well supplied and clean beyond reproach as well as being 100% functional. To clarify and explain the items you indicated need a little maintenance: When the third floor shower was built - we installed to complete individual showers on two different walls so that two persons could shower simultaneously - we discovered that running the two showers at the same time from the same water pipes caused a major reduction in water flow and pressure to both of the showers - it would have required running a separate line to each of the showers - tearing out walls and part of the floor to accomplish having both showers running perfectly. Our decision was leave the one shower wall with the six body jets running perfectly and abandoning the other wall - stating it was out of order. We had a lightning strike in July and the wine cooler was toasted - I could not find a unit the exact size and would need to cut out and replace the cabinet it was in - imposible to do in 4 hours when the house was booked solid July and August. I wish you had mentioned to me that dishwasher was leaking and that the oven door was rattling - Without your input and my not knowing -it becomes a maintenance issue that could have been addressed immediately. I feel very blindsighted by your comments and wished you had mentioned them to me so the problems could have been addressed at that time - I wish that you had not publish a derogatory posting they leaves others with major concerns about minor issues that I was unaware of until I read it on-line. Large lake front home

We had a great stay at this large lake front home. We are from the area and came back with our immediate family for a funeral. The home was large enough to have our extended family come visit with out feeling cramped. The home was well equipped and had out door eating area/ grill for cooking. There was limited parking for family stopping by to visit. The central air conditioning didn’t work the whole stay but we thought it was turned off since there were a couple window units upstairs. You don’t need air conditioning in upstate New York most of the year so we didn’t find this unusual. Due to the hot temps we did call the owner to come check out the air and water pressure. He was able to fix the water pressure but not the air. All in all we had a great stay, the home was comfortable and fit our immediate family. It was well supplied with towels and the kitchen was well stocked.

Donna did not communicate with me during her entire stay. The neighbor complained twice that quests from my home were parking in there yard. Even after I called and said no one should be parking there another one of her quest park in the neighbors yard. There were 13 vehicles in my yard already. Just 250 feet up the same road we could park 20 cars - but she was unable or unwilling to supervise the large number of guests that were there. The breaker for the AC was off and had she communicated I would have turned it on. My cleaning crew of 14 years said she left the biggest mess they ever had. I as a owner would never consider renting to her again and would advise anyone in the rental business to avid her and her unruly guests. First floor toilet left overflowing 3rd floor toilet overflowed on the carpet and was left wet - empty bottles stuffed under the bed - what mess she left the last morning there.

This was the most peaceful place on earth. Great lake, beautiful property. The house was huge with all upscale appliances, wonderfully thick towels. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything a family would need to cook. The owner was super nice and came over when we had a question, All kinds of toys for the kids to be in the lake. Family had a wonderful time.

Stench of water and owner's attitude are equally disgusting

To start with the positives, the lake, house and location were wonderful. The house was great and incredibly well stocked. Unfortunately, the water had an oppressively strong sulfur smell. It felt like we were showering in a waste treatment plant. Several of our family members resorted to washing our hair in the lake as the stench was too much to bear. I reached out to VRBO when Ray, the owner, sent a separate email mandating payment outside the site and a very large deposit via check. VRBO advised this was in violation of their standards and all payments were to be processed through their site. I contacted to Ray to resolve this issue and he berated me on the phone and hung up on me twice. He called me “young and stupid” and told me I cost him $30k since VRBO required him to process payments through appropriate channels. He refused to cancel the booking and pinned us into the trip as we would lose our deposit if we canceled. Ray showed up at the residence while we were out and my mom was at the house alone. He yelled at her for not recycling correctly. There were no signs, notes or even a recycling receptacle inside indicating this was required. He yelled “can you people (expletive) read!?” and pointed to three recycling bins (of 10) tucked being an AC unit. He threatened that “we would never be able to rent in this area again” and stormed off. My mother was shaken, scared and shocked that an older man would speak to a woman that way, especially by herself. I have never written a review, good or bad, for any establishment or experience, but I feel strongly that this is something potential renters should know. The lake is lovely, the people in the area are wonderful, but find somewhere else to stay. The only thing more off putting than the pungent smell was Ray’s repugnant demeanor.

Wonderful house and lake!

The house was amazing and was very accommodating for our get away week with another adult couple. i have never stayed at a rental that had so many and plenty of supplies, and the kitchen was a dream come true! Ray and Linda were a real delight to chat with and were extremely helpful on the few questions I had. We brought up our jet skis and were able to launch them from town launch just two miles down the road at this gorgeous boat launch!! Unfortunately drought season had the lake levels a little low, so we were unable to tie them up to dock at the house, but it was a minor snag and certainly not in control of the property, but the Lake was so beautiful!!! we hope to come back next year!

Nice House

The house and property were very nice. Having bedrooms on all 3 floors made it easy for everyone to have their own space. The deck and grill were awesome, plenty of wood for the firepit and several kayaks on site as well. We enjoyed kayaking and fishing. We did not realise when booking that the water would be so low in mid september, but otherwise everything was nice.

Last minute stay

When our kids school opening was delayed we found this last minute rental opportunity. The house itself is pretty big and well kept. It is directly in a bag of Great Sacandaga. We had not been to Great Sacandaga since I was a kid and were a little disappointed that the lake level was very low. It’s a reservoir that apparently gets lowered every year. So swimming off the dock was essentially not possible as the lake level was some 10 ft lower than spring / early summer. We did enjoy getting out on the kayaks provided and our own paddleboards and the bay provides a bit of shelter from waves on windier days. That area of the lake appears fairly quiet from boat traffic especially at that time of the year. The house itself was much more than the four of us needed. It could Probably accommodate 10. The only issue might be the second floor great room sound will escape up to the third floor master loft bedroom. The homeowners were lovely, easy to communicate and very responsive. They offered to change the water filter after we noticed heavy sulfur smells from the local wells. It was tough to deal with taking showers, doing dishes, brushing teeth A different time of the year (higher lake level) and no water smell and this is five stars. A good value for a large family Looking for a Lakefront escape.

Five points for FIVE STARS

Lovely spacious home on the lake; no need to leave the property. Full accommodations for cooking and lake recreation. Surprise toys for our young grandchild. Great communication and responsiveness by Linda and Ray (owners). Perfect "bubble" in these times (and even non-pandemic times).

An Oasis In The Storm

We were looking for a retreat from quarantine, a place where we could unplug and relax with a small group of family, while also staying responsibly distant... This beautiful home (and the Great Sacondaga Lake) was exactly what we needed! The house is spacious and well kept. The lawn, lakefront and dock provided ample time for us to enjoy the outdoors, and we were treated to stunning sunsets every evening. The kids loved running around, and exploring the closet filled with board games and activities for them. Everyone loved jumping in the canoe and kayaks to explore the lake. And we also loved gathering in the kitchen/dining area to prepare meals, often sharing them on the deck. The process was easy, and the owners were lovely. We will definitely recommend to friends, and are already looking forward to our next visit.

Fun Family Vacation

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. It was very clean and the property owner was very responsive to our questions and problems. The only issue we had was with the outside grill and he responded immediately with a replacement so we could finish cooking dinner. The house was as advertised - luxury! We had fun in the rowboat and the kids went kayaking and canoeing. We rock painted at the shore one day as it was too windy to go swimming or boating. We cooked almost every night in the well stocked kitchen, but did venture out twice to local lakeside restaurants for clams and shrimp. I would definitely book this again!

Family Vacation

We had a cabin on Lake Sacandaga many years ago and wanted my children to experience what I remember. Fishing on the pier with my girls and nephew was awesome. No cell phones were thought of as they were too busy doing the things I did when I was a child. Great family vacation and lake views!

Great location for fishing and for exploring the Sacandaga region of NY!

The house was large enough to hold our group. Downstairs bathroom was easily accessible for our elderly friends. Tons of chairs on the big deck as well as large tables make it easy for everyone to sit down together. Large kitchen table was perfect for card games with everyone. The fishing was great and the public boat launch is close by. The dock has a bench and a slide and both got lots of use. Saratoga Springs is a short drive and Lake George wasn't too much further so we got to spend time at both while not being away from the lake house for too long. Excellent stay, hope to be back next year!
