Absolutely amazing home and host - we’ve already recommended it to all our friends and family! The location could not be more perfect. Situated right above Highlands Tavern, we were able to walk to all the shops, restaurants, and everything downtown has to offer with ease.The loft itself is stunning - incredibly spacious, beautifully decorated, and truly feels like you're in a luxury penthouse. Each bedroom was thoughtfully set up with extra linens, towels and bathrobes, which was such a nice touch.David goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. The kitchen was fully stocked with wine, beer, bottled water, coffee, milk, orange juice, cheese, crackers, and more - so generous and unexpected. And as an extra surprise, the chef from downstairs delivered fresh-made bagels upon our arrival. Such a memorable welcome!We could not have asked for a better stay and will absolutely be back. If you’re considering this property — book it. It’s perfection!!

This apartment is outstanding. The owner took care of every detail and had even stocked with fridge and pantry with special items. The location is great and you can walk to all of your favorite Highlands shops and restaurants. Beds are comfortable and there are plenty of towels so you aren't doing laundry on vacation. We will definitely be returning!

This place was great! The location was perfect, they had it stocked with so many snacks, drinks, etc so we didn't have to worry about breakfast and it was very clean! I would definitely stay here again.

The Nest is a perfect place to stay in the highlands. This place was better than what the pictures showed. They do an incredible job decorating and providing a peaceful, relaxing experience. It is walking distance to all shops in town. David is quick to respond and his instructions on check in were very easy to follow. We will be booking this property for all our future trips to the highlands.

By far away, our favorite place to go stay in the North Carolina mountainsWe go every year at least once a year and David is an amazing host and the Nest is certainly one of our favorite spots anywhere. Best possible location in Highlands North Carolina to stay as well. Walking distance to every great restaurant in town. My wife has been coming to Highlands North Carolina since 2016.

Loft apartment was phenomenal! We loved the double doors & balcony in the common area where we overlooked S 4th St. well-stocked kitchen, comfy beds, just a wonderful place to stay! Close to virtually EVERYTHING!

Golf weekend in Highlands

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was perfect and very comfortable. The location right off Main Street was ideal. I would definitely stay again and recommend the Nest highly for anyone looking to be close to shopping and great restaurants in Highlands.

Perfect location in Highlands

We celebrated Fourth of July in Highlands and had an excellent stay at this property. The owners were very communicative and the check in process was seamless. We really appreciated the amazing food/set up for our check in.. fridge full of drinks, milk, OJ, cheese, etc as well as muffins, fruit, and crackers. The kitchen was well stocked and we loved the bathroom toiletries, too. It felt more like a hotel stay minus the maid service :) It is located above Highlands Tavern but we didn’t hear any noise from the restaurant. The location is awesome for walking to shops and restaurants.. right in the heart of Main Street area. The parking is a little tight, but we were happy to have a secured spot during a busy holiday week. The steps going up to the rental are also a little steep so may not be ideal for someone with mobility issues. Loved our stay and hope to stay again sometime!

Highlands visit

What a great property! This property was right in the heart of downtown Highlands. We were above the Highland Tavern, which at first I was worried about noise, but the insulation blocked most of the noise and the bathroom fan covered up the rest. Plus, the tavern shuts down early so it was a non-issue. We had rain showers and this property was so convenient because we could pop in and out to avoid the showers. The place was clean and perfect layout. The host was very nice and had snacks and drinks available in fridge for us for the weekend. We could not have asked for anything more and hope to return soon.

Our stay could not have been more perfect.We felt David spoiled us with amenities that went beyond a 5 Star Hotel. What a treat it was to walk into such a beautiful space and have wine , amazing snacks and a refrigerator stocked with all that one would need. Our club will definitely return. Thank you for this relaxing retreat. Ps yo must eat at the Highlands Tavern below. The chef and owner are amazing. The food is awesome. Enjoy

Great Weekend

Great place to stay. A little difficult finding the location, but any anxiety goes away once you reach the destination. You should book it as you see and feel it. You won't be disappointed. Host graciously stocked up our stay with some very nice amenities which was a first-class touch to go along with the first-class location.

I'm ready to go again!!

I cannot say enough about how great this property is and how well appointed the amenities are in this gorgeous home away from home! The furnishings are beautiful and comfortable. The property is clean and neat. Having basic groceries, spices and appliances is definitely ramped up here to a level of luxury that you have to see to believe. We were provided with foods and beverages that made our stay so easy and so tasty. The location is right in the heart of downtown and steps away from excellent dining and shopping. I'm already looking forward to our next stay! Thank you!

10 Stars! Amazing!

David’s home is in the center of town and is walkable to all the shops and restaurants. Check in was easy, the place was pristine and he set us up with everything you could want including wine, beer, snacks, fruit and breakfast items! This is the best VRBO we have ever stayed at!! Hands down! Beautiful apartment, great owner/communicator and great location.

The Nest was amazing! We highly recommend this place. Not only was the location perfect, but the townhome itself was exceptionally clean and well appointed. The welcome basket was an added bonus! David is an amazing host and very responsive. We cannot wait to use his place again!

We could not have enjoyed our stay at “The Nest” more! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a beautiful display of snacks and wine- and gorgeous accommodations. Beth, the owner, was so responsive, gracious and helpful. We stayed a week and enjoyed cooking many meals in the home and also loved being walking distance to the incredible shops and restaurants. We stayed during Highlands busiest season and absolutely could not have appreciated the location of the home more. We only used our car to travel to hikes- otherwise we could walk everywhere. We travel to Highlands often and this was by far our favorite home in the heart of it all. Thank you, Beth, for making our experience truly special, We hope to come back many more times!

Nest 205 was nicely appointed and oh so convenient. We had a wonderful sister trip to Highlands and we loved our accommodations. Comfortable beds and nice bathrooms with a wonderful open concept living and kitchen area. The view of Old Edwards Inn and quaint shops up the street was a real plus to wake up to. Royce Realty did an excellent job of welcoming us and everything was just as it should be! We’ll definitely stay here again!
