Summer 2026 booking Friday-Friday rentals. New for 2026 - whole house air conditioning!
Enjoy the beauty of Lake Huron with 95 feet of wide, sandy beach and lakefront. We have Sandy bottom water with shallow entry and a sandbar - perfect for families! This 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house with a loft is down a secluded, dead end private street - no loud noise from US23! Master bathroom fully remodeled in 2024. We are close to area shopping, golf and restaurants. Fantastic deck for enjoying the views and everything you need to enjoy the beach available for your use - chairs, towels, sand toys. An outdoor shower to wash away the day's sand and a fenced in back yard for added privacy. Beautiful modern kitchen, fully equipped, and gas BBQ allow you to cook your own meals if you choose. The perfect end to a day spent splashing in the waves is making s'mores over the beach fire pit, or relaxing in the sauna. Amazing lake views from the kitchen, dining, sitting room, 1st bedroom, 4th bedroom and loft.

Located directly between downtown Tawas and Oscoda means access to all kinds of summer fun with festivals, movies/music in the park, cute shops, great restaurants, lighthouses, putt putt and renowned golf courses. Located near the AuSable River with opportunities for kayaking, canoeing and tubing. There are also amazing views of the fall colors with state land right across the street. Long driveway with plenty of parking and a basketball hoop for fun. TVs are equipped with streaming capabilities so you can login to your own accounts on Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc. Bike trails, hiking trails, sun and sand make Barefoot Bungalow the perfect destination to enjoy Pure Michigan. Come experience the sunrise side at its finest!

Very nice place, we loved using the sauna and jumping into Lake Huron. House was clean and very nice with beautiful views. Town was not too far away….approx 15 minutes. Would definitely stay again.

Barefoot Bungalow was the best Vrbo stay I have ever had! The property is absolutely beautiful, clean, and well maintained. It seemed like the host had truly thought about everything. There were tons of toys and games for kids and entertainment for adults as well. Jayme was very responsive and quickly responded to any questions we had prior to and during our stay. My family is already planning a return visit to this property. I cannot recommend this property enough! We had the best time and experience!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property. It is the PERFECT set up for a large group because the kitchen is open concept so you can all be talking while in the kitchen, dining room and family room. It was very clean and had an absolutely STUNNING view of the lake. There also was literally everything you needed from a fully stocked kitchen, bath towels, beach toys, shower supplies, a hammock and even a sauna. Jayme was a wonderful host and was always very quick to respond. We’re already talking about “the next time we stay there!” 10 out of 10!

Great location. Beach was excellent and backyard with deck was amazing. Most of house is nicely remodeled and modern. No air conditioning so be prepared for hot days especially if you cook in kitchen. There are a couple of level changes and non-integrated thresholds between rooms and additions - so can be a trip hazard if you have disabled folks in your family. We enjoyed the close proximity to East Tawas and local family, so it was a joy! Great for kite flying!

What a wonderful family vacation home! It’s very large and comfortable, just like in the photos, the beach is perfect for family swimming, kitchen is very well supplied, and the housecleaning is immaculate. The owner is very responsive and so nice.

Everything about our week at the Barefoot Bungalow was perfect! Check is easy. The home was, once again, sparkling clean, and comfortable. The weather was also perfect. We usually spend a week vacationing with our family. We cook most meals and eat together. We easily found all the utensils and dishes we needed for seven. Great kitchen. Comfortable beds. Beautiful outdoors. And a Great Lake. Thanks.

Great Stay

Grandkids loved it, spent a lot of time on the beach. Lots of toys provided. Lots of chairs and seating. A lot to do.

Lakefront joy

The home is nicely furnished and well maintained. The children had a great time and enjoyed their room away from the adults. The lake view and direct access is wonderful. We have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed

It’s our second here and we can’t wait to come back next year. Our group of 7 friends love walking on the beach, sitting on the back deck watching the water & shopping in town. The home is beautiful & accommodates us all well. The peaceful setting can’t be beat.

Beautiful Beach Location

Beautiful beach location with easy walk out to the shore. Privacy from neighbors when enjoying time on the large deck. The property is set back between the lake and a wetland, not on busy US-23 like many properties along the lakeshore in that area.

Perfect stay. Beautiful beach property

We had 8 guys stay for a golf weekend, each with their own bed, and this place was absolutely amazing. Sweet fire pit and chairs setup out by the beach. Kitchen was well stocked. Coffee bar setup was a nice touch.

Amazing property

This is our 5th year in a row staying here and it never disappoints. We had a great time as usual! The renovations to the master bath were really nice. One thing we love about this property is that the owners continue to make upgrades over the years and you can tell they really care about providing a quality experience. The beach is absolutely fantastic. It cannot be beat.
