A great little cottage, steps from the beach! The owner was a fabulous host, very communicative and helpful. Lots of little extras included such as linens, towels, spices, soap, toilet paper, paper towels, everything you need. A/C worked great, ceiling fans throughout, nice little deck. We were very comfortable and had a great vacation! !

This a cute little cottage just right for one or two people. It's dog friendly, so that's a plus. It is steps from Lake Huron. Great beach and in a residential area that isn't crowded. Other pluses are the big screen smart TV for evenings. And very good WIFI. Air Conditioning is also a plus as our summer was very hot this year. If you want to be right on the lake in a quiet area, this is the place for you.

If you are looking for a house on the beach, this house is it! Lake Huron is literally in the backyard. Stunning views from the large windows in very spacious living room and dining area. After spending the day at the beach we spent our evenings on the back patio and bonfire area taking in the views of the lake. Both matresses on the on pull out couch and bedroom were really comfy. House was very clean. We had no issues or complaints at all! We had such an amazing stay during our trip. We will definitely be back! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us, my wife did not want to leave!

We chose this property based on positive reviews, but our experience was extremely disappointing. The home initially appeared clean, but we quickly discovered hundreds of ants throughout the kitchen. We had to clean and disinfect food preparation surfaces before each use, yet the ants continued returning throughout our stay.The biggest issue was the home’s only bathroom. On Tuesday, the toilet stopped working. It was temporarily fixed, but only worked for one or two flushes before failing again. We were told the septic tank would be emptied Wednesday, but it wasn’t serviced until Thursday morning. Four adults were left with an essentially unusable toilet for nearly two days, forcing us to leave the property to use public restrooms.We were also told maintenance might enter the home while we were away. Because our two dogs were inside, we requested that no one enter unless we were present. The host argued about that before ultimately honoring our wish.After our stay, we respectfully requested a partial refund. Instead of acknowledging the inconvenience, the owner responded with inaccurate accusations, threatened additional fees and future booking restrictions, and delayed responding despite multiple requests from Vrbo. We have an open case with Vrbo since the owner has made no meaningful effort to resolve the issues. Maintenance issues can happen in any rental, but the lack of timely resolution and unprofessional post-stay responses made this a disappointing experience.

This cottage was wonderful! It was clean and in good condition. There was plenty of room inside and on the deck to spread out so you never felt crowded. It had everything we needed, like bedding, towels, and kitchen basics. The bed was very comfortable, the water was nice and hot for the shower, and the appliances worked. The air conditioning worked great, which was important because the weather was very hot during our stay. We were super happy with the long stretch of sandy beach that was perfect for walking. It sits off the road quite a ways, so it was quiet and private. Best of all, our doggo was welcome. We were also happy with the host, who responded quickly to questions and was very helpful and friendly. We loved it and would definitely stay here again!

Can’t beat the water front view! We really enjoyed the water and the back yard. Air conditioning/heat was nice to keep things comfortable. Amenities could have been better, but fine for a short trip.

Our stay was extremely disappointing from the moment we arrived. We found rodent droppings and dead bugs on both pull-out couches, as well as dead bugs underneath the bed in the main bedroom. We contacted the host immediately, and a housekeeper came. While addressing the issue, the bedding was changed, but the rodent droppings and dead bugs were swept into a pile and left for us to clean up.We also found dirty, greasy dishes that had been put away, and the shower curtain was old and moldy. We reported each issue to the host as we found it.The toilet initially flushed inconsistently and then stopped flushing completely the following day, requiring us to drive into town to use a restroom for the remainder of our stay.One of the pull-out mattresses also had significant damage that appeared consistent with rodent activity. Because of the condition of the pull-out beds, we did not feel comfortable using them and had to purchase air mattresses during our stay.Although the host initially indicated he would work with us on a resolution, our refund request was ultimately declined after we opened a case with Vrbo. Overall, the cleanliness and maintenance issues significantly affected our vacation.
