The Sunbird villa is a spacious house located in the Secure Parc de la Baie Orientale, on the French side.

It offers many advantages for holidays with family or friends:

* Large terrace with private pool

* View of the swimming pool and a beautiful exotic garden

* Beach, nautical activities, restaurants and shops 5 minutes walk

* 3 bedrooms with private bathrooms

* Air conditioning throughout the villa

* High speed wifi

Decorated and furnished in the typical Caribbean style, this villa, located in a secure residence, has a living room, a kitchen and three large bedrooms, each equipped with a bathroom.

Its beautiful patio with its large table will welcome you for convivial moments. To relax, enjoy the hammock.

The villa is connected to the internet via optical fiber.

The televisions are equipped with Apple TV with Canal Sat Caribbean available.

The Sunbird villa is protected by an alarm.

It is entirely on one level.

The caretaker of the villa remains 5 minutes away if necessary.

You will enjoy a private car park protected by a closed gate.

You can easily walk around the park:

* The beach, its nautical activities and its restaurants are located 350 meters away.

* Evening shops and restaurants are only 450 meters from the villa.

If you prefer to take the car, parking is easy and free everywhere.

The guards of the villa remain nearby.

At Orient Bay, you will enjoy its long beach and its water sports as well as its many beach bars and restaurants.

For your evenings, the traditional restaurants and bars will welcome you.

A small supermarket can be found near the beach, as well as a bakery, hairdresser and tobacco shop.

Orient Bay Park is very secure with more than 100 cameras, and 24x24 hour and 7x7 day security.

Juliana Airport (partly Dutch) 30 minutes by car.

Orient Bay beach 5 minutes walk.

Grand Case and Anse Marcel beaches 10-15 minutes by car.

The living room communicates with the Master bedroom. Access to the other bedrooms is via the exterior passageway.

End of stay cleaning included. Intermediate cleaning on request at an additional cost.

I started our draft review and thought what could I possibly add to what’s already been said, other than to write, “agree”? The close walking distance to a varied selection of restaurants and beach area is a huge plus. This rental was very clean, well maintained, well stocked, has a lovely pool with privacy [textiles not needed], and a large covered porch for relaxing/eating while enjoying the colourful surrounding landscaping. What hasn’t been said by most is the attention to detail. We arrived late and tired from travelling all day. Dominique welcomed us with a smile. There was a basket of fruit, a 6 pack of large water bottles, and even some beer in the fridge. That was just the first impression. The next day, after exploring, we found a full bag of BBQ briquets and lighter fluid, lots of pool floaters, and even soap for the clothes washer. Those are usually items we’ve had to source and buy ourselves at other rentals. They have thought of everything that would make your visit easy & pleasant.A report wouldn’t be complete without mentioning Dominique. His smile, sense of humour and helpfulness when introducing us to the home was so welcomed. He shared his local information and recommendations, and he was just generally ‘on call’ whenever needed. We couldn’t get the dishwasher to start – he hopped in his Batmobile golf cart and was here in a flash – problem solved – my bad French translation the cause! I now know ‘depart’ is start.We will be back!

Sunbird Stay

The Sunbird had everything we needed for our vacation in St Martin. It has a perfect location close to shopping, restaurants, and the beach. It also had a covered sun porch where we spent almost all of our time when we were at the house and ate our meals. There was just enough privacy for us to relax in the very nice pool.Dominique answered all of our questions and quickly took care of our problem with the clothes dryer ( a gecko somehow crawled into it and unfortunately for it “got cooked” ).We hope to be able to return again.

Excellent Vacation Rental

Just completed a wonderful 10-day stay at this Orient Bay vacation rental. House is in an excellent, safe and gated community. Clean and well equipped. Beach a few minute drive from the house. It's walkable to the beach and many restaurants but if you are carrying beach stuff a drive is much easier. Lots of restaurants a few minutes from the home. Highly recommend Good Morning Cafe for a delicious breakfast at a very reasonable price. Dominique the house master was wonderful. Would absolutely stay again!Highly recommended restauranttowels

Summer in January

Lovely property in a secure community. We could walk to the beach and shops, lots to see and do in the area. The kids swam in the private pool every day, it's only steps from the large enclosed patio. We recommend it!!

Disappointing

Unfortunately, we left after 2 days of a 14 day booking due to safety concerns. We did not feel this location was appropriate for children at all. This location may work better for separate couples. (I would recommend they remove the 0-17 children age range from their listing.) The bedrooms are not connected to the main part of the house. Need separate keys and children can easily access an ungated pool. I would not consider this a house but more of a motel type set up. Flooding occurred in kitchen, laundry area, living room and 2 bedrooms. Lost power for 2.5 days. Additionally lost water. AC in main bedroom was broken for 2 days. Driveway is narrow. There is no kitchen table or place to eat inside. The table for eating is outside only which is not uncommon in this area. There is a small pool on site however the mosquitos and sand fleas make being out by the pool impossible. On site assistant friendly however unfortunately found the owner/manager/host aggressive, rude, and manipulative. Not willing to work with us on reducing our stay or any discounts despite multiple unfortunate events. We would not return to this location.

The house was great. Very comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, extra refrigerator in laundry room. Excellent washer and dryer. The covered porch was fantastic! The house was one story which was nice.

For my dad

My dads 16th time to island, my husband, best friends and I's 1st. We fell in love on the first day and plan to make this island our forever go to. Our stay at The Sunbird was perfect !! Location was perfect and very close to the beach and all the wonderful shops, restaurants, delicious coffee shops. Dominique was so helpful, always willing and available if we had a question or concern. We all LOVED the beautiful pool and hanging out together on the covered huge porch. And i enjoyed reading every morning on the hamock hanging on the porch. Highly recommend The Sunbird and will always come back and choose to stay here.

Villa is located in close to Orient Beach access to Beach Bars & restaurants with lots of options to go to beach with umbrellas & chair setup. We never eat at the same Restaurant over our 6 nights there. Villa very private even though it’s along the Main Street but shrub cut the street view & sounds off very well. Perfect for 3 couples of a family.

Great spot in Orient bay

Property was beautifully landscaped and private, but has easily access to French side of the Island. Grand Case parking took us 8 minutes, ferry to Pinel Island was 10 unless you hit a goat block. Orient Beach 3 by car less than 10 by foot. Grocery store in Orient has everything one would need but if not Super U is right around the corner. Now to the property, the pool is a great place to relax and hang or just cool off after a walk back from the beach. The house is set up as three individual bedroom bathroom combos with the main one connected to living area. All open up to a patio that is perfect to sit on and listen to the birds chirp while drinking your morning coffee or tea, or have your evening beverage watching the sun set. The care taker Dominique. Is very attentive and helpful if any issues arise during your stay. We can’t wait to come back.

Awesome Location, Awesome Villa

This is the second year staying in Songbird and we have already booked again for next year. Property Manager went above and beyond to make our visit comfortable and worry free. He even came and picked us up at the airport as our arrival was delayed (we came in late at night) by Hurricane Tammie. We love this Villa! We love this island. See you next year!!

Great island experience

This was a very wonderful island stay experience! Dominique was absolutely attentive to every need we had. He responded extremely quickly and was so friendly! The property pool was just phenomenal! The location had several shops and restaurants nearby, Orient Beach was a short walk and beyond beautiful! Thank you!
