Great getaway

This was a great villa in a great location. Out of busy traffic areas, but within walking distance of great dining and beaches. When we come back, we will definitely consider this property again.

Amazing place. Great view. Wonderful hosts

My husband and I stayed for one month at Anna and Sergey’s. The pictures and description are spot on and they are great hosts that respond to issues immediately. This has to be one of our best experiences with a rental and we look forward to coming back. Thank you Anna and Sergey!

Paradise in Paradise!!! Unbelievably AWESOME!

This place might be the only place I ever consider staying at when I go back to St. Maarten! I don’t know where to begin…the host - AWESOME…the location - AWESOME…the accommodations - AWESOME…EVERYTHING - AWESOME! We didn’t have any issues with anything…it was clean, we had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms, the pool was amazing, the view was amazing, being able to use Sapphire amenities amazing.Thank you for a GREAT week - we WILL be back…just not soon enough!!!

Gorgeous Villa with an Incredible View!

Shhh, hesitant to leave a glowing review as this is a “slice of Heaven” in a quiet location on St. Maarten! This spacious, immaculate, and private villa with an incredible ocean view and pool is in a perfect location in Cupecoy - very quiet but walkable to grocery stores, amazing restaurants, the famous Maho Bay Beach and spectacular Mullet Bay Beach! There are several stairs on the resort, and the two, spacious bedrooms are upstairs, but didn’t bother us as they’re a great, booty workout! Host Anna is an excellent communicator from booking to check out! Thank you so much for sharing your gorgeous villa! Shirley, thank you for keeping the villa spotless! We hope to stay here again! Highly recommend!

Couldn’t ask for me in Cupecoy

This property comes completely as advertised. It is right on the water with beach access less than a minute walk. You can hear the waves as you fall asleep at night in the comfy beds. There are multiple grocery stores with in a 5 min drive. The property has everything you need to have a wonderful vacation. We hope to stay there again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So close to the water!

Beautiful views every day with the sound of the ocean! What more do you want for a restful vacation? The property is walkable to both supermarkets and restaurants. Parking is at the property as well. Some of the amenities at the club property are a little dated but the staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed swimming at the beach in front and the space that this villa had for everyone. Very convenient and close to everything! Thanks Anna fot a great stay!

Perfect in every way!

From booking to checkout, every facet of this property exceeded expectations. Fear of old pictures, over-hyped descriptions, or non-responsive property owners can cause apprehension upon arrival with many vacation rentals. This property was the exact opposite. The villa was better than anticipated, and communication Anna made everything perfect. The villa's interior was spectacular. Large, spacious, well maintained, it wanted for nothing. The small pool on the deck turned out to be a wonderful refresh after a day exploring the island. Morning coffee and sunsets from the decks bookmarked perfect days. Waves crashing on the sand 20m from your bedroom makes sleep come easily. The location in Cupecoy is ideal. Far enough from the "tourist" areas that you have privacy, but 2 markets and a dozen bar/restaurants are within a 10 minute walk. If you are not into the "umbrella forests" of the major beaches, your private beach in front of the Villas provides a sense of intimacy. 2 natural caves just east along the shore provide a shady spot to escape the sun. Mullet Bay Beach is just a 15 minute walk if you wish to have a more social beach experience. So, trust in the pictures and descriptions, pack lighter than you think, and feel fortunate if your schedule aligns with availability. Perfection, Paradise, Privacy

This is our second straight time booking Anna's property in Sint Maarten for vacation. After 12 previous trips, we finally discovered this property, and will never stay anywhere else going forward. The villa is truly perfection in paradise. The villa is situated literally on/overlooking the ocean, the tides lap up to shore right below the terrace, with perfect sandy beaches a 100 yards to the west. The ocean sounds, sunny exposure, segregated terraces, and the trade wind breeze all combine to a level of solitude and privacy that is unmatched whether you are alone, a couple, or a group. Anna, the owner, is fully accessible all the time, and ensures your trip will be perfect. The location is right in the middle of great beaches, shopping, restaurants, recreation (including golf), and entertainment. One could 'write a book' just on the villa itself. Just look at the photographs! It is, as it appears; in my view, even better.

This is one of the best equipped vacation properties we have ever stayed at. Anna has thought of everything and is always quick to respond to questions. The decor is stunning, and there is lots of room. We made new friends there, and this villa was perfect for an evening of singing and drinking wine. The property is also very private. When you sit on the balcony, you see the Caribbean and a bit of the beach; nothing else! While we were there, the beach got bigger every day, and we were able to do a nice beach walk every morning. The swimming was perfect. Once you get used to the waves on shore, you just step into the water and have a great time floating around, or swimming. For us, the location and the amenities of this villa can't be beat! There are 2 grocery stores within walking distance. The pool on our deck was an added bonus for cooling down in the evening, as we only used the A/C at night for sleeping. Loved, loved, loved this villa and appreciated Anna's quick responses to any questions.

30th anniversary trip

This villa is lovely and very private. You cannot use the beach because it is too small but there are plenty of others to enjoy. You definitely need a rental car because there are no sidewalks. Driving here is difficult as the roads are very old and need repairing and they are very narrow. Covid has really ravaged their economy and they could really use your business here. The people are kind and friendly. You just need to know when you are driving around it is like Driving through a Third World country. Some of the most beautiful, private beaches and the seafood is outstanding

Our stay at Sappire Beach Club villa

We like season changes, but winter at times can be taxing. We just came back home after being hosted by Anna for a week and we regret that decision. At the time of booking, we had some doubts about pictures that her site showed. They seemed a bit unreal. To our surprise, the reality exceeded photos. The villa is beautifuly located, very spacious, and provides all comforts anybody might need. Anna is easily accessible in case of any questions, and her instructions regarding entry, stay, and departure are very helpful. We’d recommend the place to anybody looking for coziness away from cold weather.

An incredible SMX oasis!

Our family of 5 ( plus family staying in two condos at the Sapphire Beach Club / part of the same property ) stayed for a week over Christmas and so loved staying at Villa 8! It is a gorgeous, well-appointed HOME with a kitchen that was well-stocked for cooking and having meals at home. We were coming for Xmas and asked Sergey and Anna if they had any recommendations for restaurants for that holiday week: We knew from a previous Xmas week trip to Madrid how challenging it can be to find good restaurants that can accommodate large groups. ( We were 11 total ) Anna and Sergey gave us a wonderful list of ten (!!!!) restaurants, each one of which we had a chance to try, was to our delight, first-rate! And we so appreciated that Anna followed-up after sending us that list to check if we had luck getting a reservation as it was the week of, very last minute! It felt great to know, from a local, some great places to go being totally unfamiliar with the island! We ended-up staying in and cooking one dinner on Xmas Eve as the Carrefour grocery store is an amazing experience, a gastronomic delight. The kitchen had everything we needed to have a wonderful meal at home and while I was cooking, everyone loved swimming in the private pool on the patio ( where I also started every morning sitting on a chaise and answering emails, looking at sunrises and seeing sea gulls fly by. ) Really idyllic! We met some intrepid spirits during our stay in SMX, still bringing their hearts and hopes for their beloved island in the wake of Hurricane Irma. Take the time to talk to people if you come to St. Maarten. Stay at Villa 8. As my grown-up sons ( ages 27 and 23 ) said to me. I “ hit it out of the ballpark by VRBO’ing there and you will be in the BEST of hands with Sergey and Anna!

Great St Maarten lodging!

If you’re looking for a luxurious yet comfortable place to stay, then look no further. Villa 8 at Sapphire Beach resort is well situated for families or couples: walking distance to nice groceries/market as well as the Porto Cupecoy square (several great restaurants, casino, shops overlooking a marina). You can also walk to family-friendly Mullet Beach or the more exclusive “cliff” beaches along the coast (clothing optional). The villa is thoughtfully stocked with beach towels, in-suite washer/dryer, cooking utensils, covered private parking spaces, shampoo/conditioner in each of the 3 bathrooms, paper towels and everything you need... just pack your bathing suite and a nice outfit for dinner out. The modern decor is somehow comfortable, and you can watch the passing yachts from your private pool on the patio. A cleaning crew comes mid-week to tidy-up and re-stock. The Sapphire Beach club has a very clean pool with a small island, a bar and friendly staff waiting to book a cruise or dinner reservations. The club, and the entire island, are still rebuilding from hurricane Irma two years ago, so you’ll see a few boats still washed up near shore and buildings yet to be rebuilt, but it actually added to the island flavor, and didn’t stop our family from doing anything...day cruises, airport, casinos, beaches, restaurants all operate normally. We would not hesitate to return to St Maarten again. Good luck, have fun and enjoy your stay at Villa 8.

We had an amazing time staying in the elegant modern place overlooking the ocean.

The place was very easy to find and instructions provided by the owner were very precise. Kitchen and bathrooms had everything that was needed and made us feel at home. Easy access to the beach and walking distance to shopping and restaurants make it the stay very enjoyable. Kids loved variety of cable channels. The property is immaculately maintained where every small detail was thought through by owners. We loved it.

Amazing!

We have just returned from a week at this villa, and simply put, it was fantastic. My husband, daughter and I enjoyed the privacy, the plunge pool, and all of the amenities. A modern yet comfortable place with everything you need for a luxury vacation. Large terrace from both bedrooms that overlook the sea. The concierge at Sapphire is at your disposal, including tour desk, car rental and nightly entertainment. You could walk 10 minutes to hit restaurants and groceries. We ventured out to St. Barts for a day, but could not wait to return to Villa 8! Anna was a pleasure to deal with, attentive to any questions. Thank you Anna!

Took my breath away when I walked into this Villa

I spent an unforgettable week after Thanksgiving at Anna's Dutch Royalty's Villa. I remember that first moment when I walked into this place and opened the shades to the patio overlooking the ocean. The beauty and serenity of this place made me instantly happy and peaceful. The magic remained with me for the entire stay. The Villa is so comfortable and thoughtfully designed that nothing disturbs your peace of mind and makes a vacation truly relaxing. It tastefully decorated, with beautiful lighting, quiet air conditioning and contemporary upscale facilities. Bedrooms are large, all with ocean view, comfortable beds and plenty of dressers. Bathrooms are spacious and renovated with the most upscale European fixtures. Each bedroom has a private patio. The kitchen is fully equipped with all tools a cook might need. But for me the pleasure of vacation is to rest from cooking and enjoy the variety of local cuisine. The Villa is centrally located with only a short driving distance to fabulous French restaurants and shopping areas. Swimming on the island is fantastic, but what makes this place special is that you don’t need to go or drive anywhere. You walk 10 feet from the front door to plunge into the ocean. My favorite place in the Villa was the main patio with the pool. In the evenings we would sit there sipping cocktails and enjoying spectacular sunsets, then would go out for dinner and would end our day swimming in the pool before going to bed. There are some places you may want to visit just once, but really don’t feel the pull to come back. Dutch Royalty's Villa is one of the few places I would go back in the heart beat!

Right choice to make your family happy!

We spend 7 unforgettable days at Villa 8. We loved everything about this place. Elegant contemporary modern house decor with room accessories, furniture. Luxurious dream! What stood out to us the most was attention to details and amenities making out stay a pleasure and unbelievable value. Everything you read about this villa is true and when you see it is even more impressive. Both bedrooms and living room had a spectacular ocean view. Morning coffee on the balcony next to pool... Walking distance to the beach and to the Blue Mall plaza with all you may need - restaurants, gourmet Grocery store, live music concerts, movie night under the stars. Arrangements with the owner were easy and the owner is a pleasure to deal with. Looking forward to coming back! Thank you

Maagnificent time in paaraadise

We spent 6 lovely days, 5 nights, in St. Maarten. One of the largest highlights of our trip was our stay at the beautiful and luxurious Villa 8. The views and location are ideal on top of the safety and security of the neighborhood and surrounding area. From the balcony you can see an unobstructed view of the lovely Cupecoy beach which is 5 minutes away by foot. The house was ideal for our family of 3 adults with room to fit 6, with enough bathrooms, closet space and living space for everyone. The villa was well equipped with all the necessary kitchen utensils and equipment which we used daily. The appliances and facilities are high end. The house has as a very modern and contemporary feel, it was very livable, functional and homey – fit for Royalty. We enjoyed the open concept space since it allowed our family to gather together communally but perform different activities at the same time. One family member could swim on the patio, while the others watched TV, cooked dinner, etc. The house also comes with a washer/dryer which can be helpful for families with younger children and those staying for longer periods of time. We were able to enjoy the best of both worlds with since the villa is tucked away, yet very accessible to the hotel amenities and beaches. The owner is very responsive and pleasure to deal with. Our family enjoyed our time in paradise and is looking forward to coming back! - JoseD

The Most Gorgeous Villa

We have stayed in for 16 yrs under 2 other owners. We love the "Home Away From Home" atmosphere, privacy and now with all of the upgrades and TOTAL renovations it is more luxurious than ever. We love all the new HIGH END appliances, furniture and upgraded bathrooms. The view is BREATH TAKING. The owner is just a sweetheart to work with. Incredible stay in St. Maarten!

Our first time to St. Maarten and we were blown away by Villa 8. First class accomodations in every way. We loved the outdoor area with the private patio and pool. Beyond the patio the ocean is right there. Incredible views and sunsets every night. The villa is very luxurious and is well stocked with everything that you could need. The bedrooms are both very well done with incredible ensuites. The pictures of villa 8 are amazing and when you walk in you are still blown away with how wonderful everything is. Arrangements with the owner were easy and she was very accomodating to our changing travel plan. Thanks so much and we will be back one day!

Super luxury villa in St. Maarten!

Omg! I have travelled to 47 countries and stayed in many hotels and private properties. This one is really outstanding! First, the views of the sea from every single room. You have the beach literary at your door step. The outdoor patio has a lovely pool that we used every day after the swimming and venturing for wonderful French food and shopping. The villa is luxury in every single aspect. High quality contemporary decor, furniture, dream kitchen with every single gadget imaginable that I plan to reproduce back home. Luxury showers and bathrooms, washer and dryer in the unit. The location is wonderful. It is on the Dutch side and within 10-15 minutes drive from most of the attractions. What I really loved about it was No crowds! You have your private beach and NOBODY can see you sunbathing on your balcony or swimming naked in your private pool. We preferred to cook at home and after a dinner enjoyed soaking in our private patio pool and then sipping wine listening to the waves. This place is great for a very romantic exclusive stay for a couple or 2 or for a group of 4-6 people as it has 2 bedrooms ( one with a king size bed and another one with two single beds) and 3 baths. Additionally every bedroom has an extra very comfortable high quality roll out. The living room has a very comfortable couch that sleeps 2 people. The owner is very responsive and takes great price of keeping the place immaculate. I am in love with this place! Thank you, Anna!

Villa Moderna is truly amazing and unique property. It sits on the small cliff right on the beach. There are only a few properties like that on the island, since the building code does not allow anymore to have properties built in such proximity to the Ocean. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it.

Villa Moderna makes you feel as if you are on the small boat in the Ocean. Even though you are so close to the land, you don't see it, you just see the Ocean from every room. You will never experience this feeling in the high rise or on the inland property. The total privacy is another unique feature of this property. No need to 'get dressed" when you plunge in your own swimming pool located on the terrace.
