Located on 5 peaceful and relaxing wooded acres featuring a beautiful mountain view from a huge deck! Located conveniently between 2 of Yosemite's entrances..... so may choose either the Arch Rock Entrance or the South Point Entrance.

FAMILY ROOM-- Features a smart TV, free WIFI access for your favorite streaming service, satellite TV, DVD, books and games... open up to a huge redwood deck and gazebo overseeing a magnificent mountain view!!!

KITCHEN--Experience all the conveniences of home with our well equipped kitchen, loaded with the essentials! Ready for you to prepare your favorite dishes!

DINING AREA-- Enjoy your meals overlooking deck and beautiful mountain view!

BEDROOMS--Three bedrooms provides clean and comfortable sleeping for up to 10 guests. All bedrooms are furnished with beautiful custom log beds!

The host sent a welcoming message, with clear instructions. The house was very easy to get to being well marked; was beautiful, welcoming and had everything we needed for our stay. It felt as if we were n a cozy cabin with all the wooded decor. I would definitely stay here again while visiting Yosemite.

Quiet get away

Nice home, about 8 min. from Mariposa. Quiet surroundings off a dirt road. Views for miles! The jumbo Jenga, tetherball, large dice and corn hole outside were fun to play. House was clean and comfortable. 3 large bedrooms were great for our family. Owners were nice, and easy to get a hold of. Sad we had to leave.

Well maintained house amongst beautiful rolling hills and nature.

This was one of our favorite vacation rentals, because although the house was old, it was immaculately well maintained. We could feel the love put in to this house. The outdoor deck areas seemed new and was spacious, and the views surrounding all sides were supreme. No neighbors in view, nice and isolated. The beds reasonably comfortable with good pillows, kitchen well stocked, very effective central heating, and all the comforts of hanging out and being cozy with friends and family. Neighborhood walks were a highlight.

Spacious deck with amazing views

My mom, a friend, and I visited Yosemite and stayed in this lovely house. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The house was spotless, spacious, and had everything we needed. The owners were responsive and helpful. And the deck in the back was amazing. The views from the deck were incredible. We had coffee out there every morning and watched the sunrise. We’d recommend this house to anyone interested in visiting Yosemite. It’s about an hour from both the Arch Rock Entrance and South Entrance. And it’s 10-15 min from the restaurants and grocery store in Mariposa.

Engagement getaway

My two kids, boyfriend, and I wanted to get away for a little recharge before Christmas. I had a hunch we were getting engaged but didn’t know for sure. Our original plan was to go to Tahoe to my uncles timeshare and the place canceled us last minute. Sharon was so sweet in letting us reserve the house a day before. We had a wonderful time growing as a family and the second day there we went on a beautiful home where my boyfriend asked me to marry him. He also got to spend one on one time with both of my kids hiking and exploring around the property, in order to talk to them about marrying their mom. It was a blast and I hope to return soon. My fiancé and I even talked about moving to Mariposa. We loved it.

Wonderful house on the Hill

We had a great experience staying at the house on the hill. Due to the Northern California fires our plans to visit Lassen National Park were scrapped and we needed to make alternate plans. Working with Sharon was very easy and we were able to extend our existing reservation with no hassle; so we stayed here for a week. The location is great; Maraposa has some cute shops, restaurants, and we used as our headquarters to visit both Yosemite and Sequoia NP. The house was very comfortable for 4 adults and we really enjoyed the large deck which we used daily. The location was very private while not feeling isolated. There is a cute little "Sportsman Cafe" located very close to the house just south on route 49 (so you don't have to drive into Maraposa for breakfast if you don't feel like cooking). We did cook a lot at the house and the one time we ran out of gas for the grill, a quick call to Sharon and we had a replacement within minutes! I would recommend this place to everyone.

Great Summer Getaway

My family of 5 (2 adults & 3 kids, ages 18, 11, 11) stayed here while visiting Yosemite. Sharon sent me an email about a week prior with very detailed directions to make sure we had no trouble finding the house. It is a little bit "out of the way" but that was exactly what we were looking for. Sharon and her husband met us at the house to set the door code and show us around. They had some great suggestions for good local eats and the best route to Yosemite. The pictures on the listing are a true representation of the house and surrounding area. It is obvious the owners take great pride in their property. The house was extremely clean and dusted from top to bottom. Both the front and back decks, and screened in gazebo were freshly swept and had more than enough seating. My son enjoyed setting up his telescope on the back deck for nighttime star-gazing...what a site! We loved the open floor-plan between the kitchen and family room/TV area. The kitchen had everything necessary...pots/pans, mixing bowls, measuring cups/spoons, Pyrex dishes, sheet pans, cooking utensils, and all major appliances. We appreciated the fresh local coffee the hosts left us to start off our first morning! There is a cupboard full of family board games that we took full advantage of, and the outside games were even better-- "Big" Jenga, cornhole, tether ball. The beds had fresh lines, plenty of extra pillows, and were very comfortable. My twins loved each having their own "big" bed. The bathrooms were well stocked with plenty of clean towels, hand soap, toilet paper, and small bottles of shampoo/conditioner. It is about a 45-60 minute drive from the house to Yosemite Valley if traveling through Mariposa on HWY 140. It is a gorgeous drive and if you leave early (we headed out by 8AM) you will avoid traffic getting there. We spent Monday & Wednesday of our trip hiking all over Yosemite Valley. It was nice to have a comfortable, clean house to come back to. Our day in between (Tuesday) was spent hanging out at the house all day playing games, watching TV/movies, and sitting out on the deck enjoying the view. The weather was quite warm during our trip, so the air conditioning was much appreciated. Also, it should be mentioned that the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. It was a great trip & I highly recommend this house!.

Our 2 families totaling 6 adults stayed in Boot jack for 2 days and acted as the base for our Yosemite NP trip. The property was well located to the NP and amenities, it was well equipped.

Dream View is in a beautiful location, both private and peaceful. It sets on 5.5 acres of woodlands primarily with Oaks. There are rabbits, squirrels, deer, hummingbirds, hawks and other birds among the wildlife that ranges here. We are in the center to 2 of Yosemite Park Entrances--36 miles in either direction. We are 7 miles south of Mariposa, 19 miles north of Oakhurst- so it is in a great location to visit Yosemite through either the Arch Rock Entrance or the South Gate Entrance to the park.

Mariposa Dream View Mountain House is decorated with a mountain-cabin theme in mind to compliment your Yosemite experience. We have beautiful and comfortable log beds, mountain and wildlife pictures in each room. The kitchen is loaded with all the amenities needed for a great meal which is open to the living room area which has a smart TV for your streaming services as well as books and board games for additional entertainment. Wifi is at the location and has provided great service. There is a big outdoor deck and gazebo which offers amazing views of the surrounding area-both private and peaceful with a backyard propane barbeque and plenty of room for sharing a meal or possibly star-gazing.
Mariposa Dream View Mountain House is a great "base camp" for a Yosemite vacation and I welcome your visit!
