Welcome to your next home-away-from-home here at Cougar Camp! This wonderfully decorated vacation home is located in the popular Deer Mountain area, located close to all the Northern Hills recreational activities. Recreational Springs is within 1 mile of the property, where you can connect up with the local ATV and snowmobile trails and ride to your hearts desire! Looking to do some sightseeing? Spearfish Canyon, with it's beautiful ponds, streams, canyon walls, caves and hike is within a 5 minute drive from the property. You can also enjoy some local food at Cheyenne Crossing at the entrance to Spearfish Canyon - this location is hard to beat! Deadwood and Terry Peak are all within 15 minutes from the property, while Ski Mystic Miner is only 1 mile away as well! Feeling a bit more adventurous, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Keystone and Custer are within a 45 minute drive from the property. There's so many options to enjoy the Black Hills from this location, Cougar Cabin works great for your base camp while you explore.

After taking in the sites you'll love coming home to this cabin sanctuary. You'll enjoy the local wildlife roaming through the yard, the beautiful starry skies, wind blowing through the ponderosa pines all while you take it in from the new hot tub! A gas fire pit and gas heater (on deck) also brings you to enjoy the outdoors at this wonderful cabin. The log cabin and alluring wood accents will have you loving the cozy feel, while you cuddle up and kick your feet up by the fire while you enjoy your company. The open concept makes it easy to gather with your family & friends and make new memories. With 2 bedrooms and an open loft used as a bedroom, there's enough room to spread out for smaller groups and 6 total beds if you plan to travel with some family/friends. There's a king bed in the main floor master bedroom, 3 full beds in the bunk room, and 2 twin beds in the loft. The living room opens up into the deck area where you're surrounding by pine trees and can enjoy grilling out and laughing with your friends. Finally, you'll enjoy the garage to store your motorcycles, ATVs, and snowmobiles when you're relaxing at the cabin. With all of these amenities, you'll enjoy the convenience to local adventures and have a great place to come back to. The host did a great job communicating with us. The cabin was so nice in pictures but way better in person. The garage was a hit as well as the hottub/fireplace for our kids. Such a beautiful cabin!

Cabin was beautiful and was fully stocked which was nice as we cooked most of our meals there. The fireplace was nice and cozy and the hot tub got put to good use on those cold nights. We loved watching the deer come through the yard every morning.

The cabin was very cozy and inviting, with all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. Easy to find, quiet neighborhood, and lots of visits from the local wildlife. Quick 10 minute drive into town to the grocery store, and about an hour from Mt Rushmore, Needles Highway and Custer state parkā€”this spot is great. The hot tub was enjoyable after a long day of seeing the sites and exploring nature. Definitely recommend Cougar Cabin!

Our stay was fantastic, property manager was great and quick to respond with all questions. Only complaint was that the property was very overgrown with weeds including the walking path from the front entry way around to the porch with the hot tub and grill. Other than that everything was great

It was terrific, nice and quiet and only minutes to Lead-Deadwood. We are from San Antonio, Texas and when we got some snow on Friday, we watched it for hours. Thanks again for a terrific spot!

Girlā€™s weekend for long distance friends

We drove from Oakes, ND and Steamboat, CO and met in Lead, SD and stayed at the Cougar Cabin. We were very impressed from the minute we drove up! Beautiful property and such a serene setting. The cabin was beautiful and very clean! Rooms were great as was the rest of the cabin! Loved hot tubbing in the morning while the sun rose.Thanks for helping us make some amazing memories!!
