INITIAL SUPPLIES - UPON ARRIVAL
Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens and towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.

Christmas vacation

We truly enjoyed our stay at Tidewater over Christmas 2024. The place was everything we were expecting. Views are amazing and the staff was very friendly. We cooked most of our meals but we did enjoy the Thai restaurant once and it was tasty. Buddy’s seafood market was the best!Thank you for sharing your place with us!

Beautiful and spacious property

We enjoyed our stay. The property was very nice and spacious and accommodated us well. The building's facilities are nice and we enjoyed them during our stay. The property was exactly as shown in the pictures. Overall, we loved our stay here.

Thanksgiving Break Getaway

The property was excellent beachfront corner unit. The view of the ocean was amazing. We had an awesome time. Check-in, cleanliness of the property accuracy of online listing, communication with the property manager and the location of the neighborhood was very exceptional. I would definitely reserve this property again.

Tidewater trip

The place was great, the kitchen was a little dirty, and the security at check in time was no help with loading and unloading. We had a fabulous time.

Great location!

This was a great place close to Pier Park and other places. Only downside is the elevators. We read reviews before we came and knew not to stay above the 5th floor because you walk a lot of stairs. Wait times we were hearing about elevator was 15-30 minutes.

This was a trip with all our children and grandchild for our 25th wedding anniversary.

This was the best week ever. The condo was great everything was just as expected. Yes everyone complains about the elevator however this place is great as it is just a few steps from the beach!! During the week the elevator was not an issue at all!!!! We loved it and will stay here again. Thanks for a great week and a great way to spend out anniversary!

Great Location

The Condo was more then enough room for our family. The first part of the week the elevators were terrible(side note we were there in June..BUsy Busy time). They did put an attendant to help speed up the elevator speed after a couple days and it helped a ton. If you have this luxury please make sure to tip the nice person b/c if definitely helped!

Moved last minute to a 3 bed from a 4 bed

We planned our trip around the sleeping arrangements and when we arrived they swapped rooms right before checkin. This was due to damage from the previous tenants We lost our wrap around porch and view along with an entire bed room. We loved everything about it except the inconvenience and no other accommodations were offered.

Elevators

The room was gorgeous! The elevators were AWFUL! 45 minutes was the least amount of time we waited. Thank God we were on the fifth floor. We had to pack our beach wagons/speaker/canopy/luggage up and down 5 flights of stairs 4 out of the 5 nights we were there! People were complaining left and right and nothing was being done. I wouldn’t recommend this condo because of that alone.

Family time

This unit is very large and accommodates everyone very well. Did not feel crowded at all. If I had any complaints at all it wouldn’t be about the unit but disappointed that the elevator beside the unit was not in operation for our entire stay. We have stayed at the tidewater about five times and every time the elevators are never all in operation always one or two not working. I would think this problem would been resolved by now. Is there a major problem?

Lovely Condo

We enjoyed our stay. 3 couples including handicapped individual and several children. Plenty of room for everyone to play and maneuver easily in the bedrooms and living areas. The TV’s didn’t really work but we came for the beach so wasn’t to big of a deal. Great location. The biggest “issue” we had was that the beach chairs and umbrellas are put so close to the water and so close together you can’t set up for children to play in front of you in the sand and ocean. People complained we were spread out in front of them but we didn’t have a choice to keep eyes on our children while they played. They need to push those chairs back there is a huge beach for them to do so. Otherwise really clean and staff were friendly as well.

Panhandle Getaways

The property was clean but a lot of broken non-working items ie: freezer door not opening fully, fridge bins broken, Pantry sliding door off hinge not able to use, dishwasher door loose, guest bedroom closet broken, no drain plug in mbr sink, broken dangerous bar stool, no blow dryer as stated. Had beautiful views of beach. loved the 5th floor as we used stairwell instead of elevators. comfortable beds, accommodated 5 adults and 2 children comfortably. Kitchen stocked well but trash bags were not provided. Be prepared for additional charges tacked on by Tidewater Beach Resort. As stated in listing no beach chairs or umbrellas provided, you will need to rent them which is costly. met other vacationers who their property management companies paid for their beach chairs and umbrellas.

Good Experience

The room was fantastic and the resort was nice. Unfortunately my truck got hit in the parking garage but the security cameras weren’t good enough to capture the event or liscense plate number of the vehicle that did it. Elevators need upgraded too. Overall we were very pleased with the resort and would visit again.

Family Vacay 2021

I rented this condo at the Tidewater Resort for my family and I to enjoy a few days in Panama City beach and celebrate my 40th bday. The condo was beautiful. I loved the furnishings. Only minor issues with a few amenities (blender, toaster) and the drains in kitchen and 3 bathrooms were very slow …. Elevators were a horrible wait, but we only used them at check in and out …. The stairs are filthy in the building but that’s not the owners fault. Thank you for a wonderful family getaway 🏖

Great beach condo! Beautiful and clean! The only bad thing I can say is none of the elevators were working properly.. this unit is on the 5th floor so it wasn’t terrible to do the steps, but they definitely need to get that figured out!

Along the way

We arrived an hour early, not on purpose, getting a cart and taking our luggage on up to room, however, was unable to get it room earlier, due to room had to be inspected before we could enter, according to the person on phone with Panhandle. Room was never inspected while we were there. Masks were mandatory, according to sign posted, we saw a lot of employees not wearing them. Some of the important amenities where shut down..... The movie theater, the saunas, one of the outdoor pools, the restaurant, The ski jets.These amenities are some of the reason I chose Tidewater.Had l been told this , when I called ahead to check on things, I would have cancelled and reserved for another time. This was a first time at Tidewater resorts for a few of our guests and I myself were embarrassed. For the monies I paid for the condo and the amenities (that we did not get to use) I over paid. As for the condo, very nice, beautiful views and very accommodating. There were a few things, however, that my guy took care of while we were there. When we arrived there was a closet door off, the upper bunk bed rail was off, the air unit filter was nasty and the master bathroom tub was not completely cleaned. This was not the first time that I had stayed at Tidewater, but was for some that came with us.

Not worth the price

Tidewater staff were very friendly. The property was very nicely decorated and we had more than enough room for our family. We did have some things that we had a problem with. The room was not very clean. From the moment we walked in, the floor was gritty with sand. The shower had black build up on the bottom of the shower. We went to sweep up some sand to tidy up, there was no dustpan or vacuum to clean up. One of the closet doors was off the hinge and one of the lamps were broken. The wifi was horrendous, we had 3 kids with us and they were not happy. The TV channels were in and out like the wifi. There were no extra blankets. The elevator wait was sometimes pretty lengthy and it was a good walk from the room to the parking garage or the ocean from the 5 th floor. We just expected more out of 2500.00 5 day stay. Unfortunately we will not be staying here again.

Needs cleaning

The shower in the room with 2 full beds had mildew in it and when we first arrived there was someone’s else’s pubic hair left in that shower/tub. The toilet paper holder was all rusted in that bathroom also. The master bathroom shower also had a lot of mildew. The pantry doors are filthy and need to be wiped down or painted over, all the corners and baseboards were dirty also. The condo is beautiful just needs a good cleaning.

Convenient location is the only good thing about this room

The location was amazing however the room was not! The room was huge and that was great for our large family however the bedroom with two double beds stayed hot after further investigating my husband found the air filter was very dirty and someone taped the vent closed in the room as well!! The floors throughout where disgusting! My nieces feet and knees were black from playing in the floor!! The beds were dirty and beyond uncomfortable. One of the living room chairs was broken my 5 year old niece found that out the hard way by ending up in the floor!!! My husband found the broken leg and was kind enough to provide a temporary fix. The elevators are beyond horrible! It took 4 hours to get our bags to our room on the 5th floor. There is no Air conditioning while waiting either! I know it being peak season and sometimes elevators will be slow but they also decided to do maintenance on them at the SAME time!! With the house keeping being taken care of professionally and a few updates to the room this room could be phenomenal!
