INITIAL SUPPLIES - UPON ARRIVAL
Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens and towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.

Great location

Great location, arrived 2 hours early and requested to check in early but not allowed, despite room being available. Enjoyed the stay, beautiful view.

Awesome condo

The condo was totally awesome and really large. Perfect for lots of people. Everything worked great. Plenty of towels and channels on the TV to stream. We loved it. Definitely want to stay again in the future.

Condo was great! Has everything we needed and decorated beautifully. Great corner unit with beautiful views of the ocean. The only downside to this resort is the long waits for the elevators!!!

Family trip

Room was as described and nice but I will never stay at the Tidewater again. The elevators are awful, we waited almost and hour for an elevator several times during our week long stay and several of the elevators were out of service.

What a view!

My family stayed at this condo and we totally loved it! There were 9 of us and we had sleeping accommodations for everyone. Waking up to the fantastic view from our corner unit was simply amazing! If there was anything lacking, it would be the place needs more elevators, but I would stay here again in a minute! Loved it!

Kitchen and elevators

I had to buy pans in order to even fix scrambled eggs and biscuits for breakfast. Plenty of plates, but nothing to cook with. And spent half of my time on vacation waiting for elevators.

Excellent Condo! Only have a few recommendations

The condo was beautiful, clean and had an excellent view with wrap around balcony. My only suggestion would be to add more drinking glasses and silverware, which weren't enough for 10 people to stay. We only had 7 stay, and there were only 4-5 spoons and 4-5 forks. Also, only 8 glasses total (all sizes included). I would highly recommend adding more basic kitchen items. Aside from these needs, the stay was excellent.

DONT STAY HERE

This condo is the worst condo I’ve ever stayed in. It has so much potential but the owner doesn’t want to keep up with the upkeep. The air filter covers were disgusting, there was throw up on the walls, there were roaches, the bedding wasn’t changed, none of the TVs worked, none of the bathroom sinks drained, and it was just an overall DISGUSTING CONDO. I’m thankful panhandle getaways was able to get us switched to a different condo.

Family Vacation

Had a wonderful stay with 2 families of 11 people total. Plenty of sleeping room. Beds were comfortable. Lots of DVD's which kids loved to play at night when going to bed. Someone had left 3 beach chairs which was a great touch! Washer broke with 2 days left and they offered us another room to wash clothes while it was being fixed, but this wasn't necessary for us. Kids ages ranged from 6 to 19. Teens had a blast. Within walking distance to Pier Park. Beautiful view and room. Only suggestion would be to supply a few more garbage sacks, laundry soap, and toilet paper. We simply went and bought more right away but with 11 people for 1 week we ran out quick. We would definitely stay again!

Great for large group but needs updating.

The space was perfect- but the furniture needs to be updated. The brackets holding the kitchen counter were taped over. Lots of scratches and scuffs throughout. Our bunch didn’t mind much because there was ample space for our group of 9. The ladies at the check in counter were awesome. The rest of the resort was a bit of a let down. Starbucks was not your usual Starbucks, the bar and grill closed at 9, and the food was kind of gross (although our bartender was great). Never did figure out the “free amenities,” offered by Panhandle Getaways. I was given a phone number to call but they don’t open until 9am - so that was a disappointment.

Do Not Stay Here!!

I normally never leave bad reviews but feel I need to warn others!! This condo was a huge disappointment!!!! The walls had dirt and food all over, had roaches, window seals was molded, dinning chair was broke, bar stools was broke, couch was broke, washer stunk, bathrooms had mold, bed linens was stained, curtains rods was broke and couldn’t hold the curtains, dishwasher did not work, floor was absolutely filthy, bunk beds was extremely wobbly and the list goes on!! I called several times and asked for a manager but no one never called me back nor refunded me any money.

We appreciate the feedback from this guest but we have multiple notes in this reservation that do not match up with what this guest is describing. We did send maintenance and housekeeping to her unit on two occasions. Maintenance did address the bunk beds and several other complaints. When housekeeping called and went to her unit, they were told that there is nothing they could do. They offered to mop and sweep the unit again and also offered to change linens on all of the beds and again, the guest refused. Guest states that she was not refunded anything due to her issues and that statement is also false. We did issue a refund back to the card on file. Guest called within the first 24 hours of check in demanding a refund before any of the issues could even be addressed. Our number one goal is to make each and every guest happy during their stay but we have to have the opportunity to correct any and all issues.

The stay was amazing. We love Tidewater Resort. The only complaint I have is 10 days before our stay Panhandle Getaways contacted me stating our original condo that we booked had to have some tile work done so they needed to switch us condos. We confirmed that was ok and didn’t hear anything back from them and also never received our confirmation email with all the codes needed. I had to contact them and was told that we didn’t confirm our stay. Eventually after speaking with 4 different people they finally got things in order and sent us the info we needed. The condo itself isn’t bad but the lack of communication between renters and Panhandle employees could be better along with communication between employees. Had I not got back in touch with them myself we would have showed up and possibly had nowhere to stay and would have been out all our money. Other than that our stay was great!

Girls Weekend

The condo is amazing! Updated with great views. Very spacious. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the check in staff at Tidewater. The clerk was rude by the way of treating me like I was supposed to know everything she was talking about, which wasn't very much. She seemed very inconvenienced by having to check me in. We required additional parking spots that were not included with our reservation and when I told her that she just handed me a piece of paper with a mans name and number on and continued on about her business. I had to ask why she gave me that information. Please note there is an additional $30 fee for parking along with the additional 30% fee I was charged by Panhandle Getaways for paying with my credit card. Had I known prior to the due date I would have paid with my debit card. My interactions with Panhandle Getaways was pleasant. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and helpful.

Family vacation

Condo was not clean. Floors were absolutely disgusting. Spent most of our days waiting on elevators, not due to capacity of tidewater but because the elevators were so slow. We were drenched in sweat due to waiting at least an hour each time on elevator. No internet access at all, so none of the kids could use iPads to pass time. Dishwasher leaked so couldn’t use it the whole time until we checked out per instructions to do so, placed towels on floor to soak up water when it would leak again after leaving. Couldn’t turn AC down past 70 due to it “freezing up and then we’d have to pay service charge and fees” even though it was high 90s outside. AC in the building was also tore up so no cool places to rest. Will not stay at tidewater ever again or this condo.

Great off-season location

We had an extended stay from Christmas Day through January 28th. The Tidewater complex is very large. Unlike other reviewers we did not have issues with elevator waits. I can see how it would be an issue during busy seasons. Complex has lots of security presence and access is tightly controlled. #1801 has a great layout. End unit has side views as well as full ocean views from the wrap around balcony. Worked well for us. Unit is definitely ready for an update. No major issues that were not resolved quickly by Panhandle Gettaways Mgt co. Just needs some work. i.e. some floor tile was loose and cracked (covered with a carpet.) Couches were tired- we covered with sheets and they were fine. I would go back for sure, but hopefully after a little work is done on the place. Pretty much what you would expect for a place directly on the beach in a spring break destination. Panhandle Gettaways was EXCELLENT! We deal with a lot of mgt companies. They were very responsive and quick to resolve any issues we had. Things come up during a 5 week stay and they nailed it!

Family vacation

The condo was in worn down condition. The refrigerator was really bad with broken shelves and a broken icemaker. When we got there the couch bed would not fold into the couch, and I had to call the management company because we would not have had a comfortable place to sit. There were nicks in most of the baseboards, and it looks like they had not done any work to the place in a while. The beds were comfortable. The linens and towels were nice. I’m sure if you read any reviews of Tidewater you will see that the elevators are a source of contention as people have waited up to an hour for an elevator. The pools were boring and the outside hot tub was disgusting as it looks like the little kids were in there and used it as a toilet. The beach access was convenient and the beach was nice. In my opinion, we over paid for this property and could have stayed at a nicer place. it was very inconvenient that there was road construction taking place because we like to walk to different places rather than having to move our vehicle and pier park is within walking distance. obviously not the condo owners responsibility or fault.

We had a great time!

Overall the property was clean in the sense of housekeeping. You could tell the floors were just replaced in the unit, which were great, however, the baseboards and trim were heavily scraped and unfinished. The refrigerator had multiple broken shelves in both the fridge and freezer. When we arrived to the unit the freezer had been left open which caused to wait almost 12-14 hours for it to reach freezing temperatures again. The kitchen was also poorly equipped in regardless to cooking pans. We ended up having to buy a couple pans that would be needed to make meals for 10 people that the unit advertises as the max. Overall the condo is in a great location, and this won't be another review complaining about the elevators. When you consider the size of the building and how busy the summer months are we were not too shocked. The problem with the elevators we found were people would hit the button to go up/down on multiple floors and then leave. This left the elevators making multiple unneeded stops which caused them to be slower. Ultimately we enjoyed our time here, I just wouldn't say it was worth the price we incurred for the unit.

Location is perfect

You pay for what you get! We traveled to PCB for fall break. We normally stay somewhere on 30A (Rosemary, Seaside, Alys Beach Etc) we stayed in PCB for 2 reasons... 1. Because it was close to my nephews college 2. My parents traveled with us and have health issues that make getting down to the beach hard and I knew with a condo it would be easy beach access. As it was! The beach was wonderful. As for the condo... the check in process was SLOW and a bit confusing. You need to check in on the second level and that wasn’t told to us. The elevators are a MAJOR NIGHTMARE. If you‘s like to waste your trip waiting for an elevator to get anywhere, the. This condo is PERFECT. We waited on average 20-30mins to catch an elevator every time we left the room. We didn’t even stay during peak season!! As for the layout of the condo it was great. Beds were comfortable. Linens/towels clean. The cleanliness of the condo was actually descent. The cleaning crew did what they are hired to do, but the condo defiantly was a product of over use. The deep cleanliness was gross! Walls needed to be painted, deep cleaning of kitchen was needed, toilet seats broken, kitchen cabinets falling apart, towel bars in bathroom off the wall. In general, just someone to take the time to DEEP clean and fix things in a condo that is rented hard would go along way. The furnishings were nice, you could tell they’ve tried to update and make modern with furnishings. I myself, am a VRBO owner and I know what can happen with a place if you don’t give it the attention it needs when it is rented heavy. A good cleaning crew only masks the issues. I will NEVER stay in a condo again of that size. The elevator situation is messed up and quiet frankly a health hazzard should there every be anytime of emergency.

There were things that NEED ATTENTION ICE MAKER WONT STOP, runs over, tile needs repair, no back up

Overall I’d stay again, however there needs to be some repairs on the unit.

Great Time.

We stayed at the Tidewater Condo's. Everything was great. Plenty of room for the 12 of us. I know everyone complains about the elevators but we did not let them damper our vacation. Had a blast with all the children and grandkids.
