Looking to get away from your everyday hustle and bustle??? Look no further. Named “Peace be with you” by one of our guests, this is a wonderful place to disconnect and refresh while enjoying the sounds of Loons.

Choose your adventure with swimming, boating, windsurfing, water-skiing, tubing, sunning, hot tubbing, fishing, or simply cruising around the lake exploring all it has to offer. We do have 3 kayaks, 1 canoe and 1 paddle boat for your use. One kayak is a sit-in two-seater, another is a sit-in one-seater and the other is a sit-on-top one-seater. The canoe has two seats as well as an open space between the two seats. The paddle boat has 4 seats. There are also several life jackets available on-site.

For all the fishing lovers, you will find Brown Trout, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, White Perch, Chain Pickerel, Cusk, Salmon and Brown Bullhead.

October holds some of the most beautiful foliage outside of the white mountains and November is a hunter's paradise.

Beautiful piece of property secluded in great moose lake. Great for families who like to play in the water. The floating dock was great for the kids. Ample space and rooms for a group of 10.

We loved our week on Great Moose Lake!! The property is very well maintained and clean. Plenty of room for our big group. We had a blast swimming and jumping off the floating raft. The large porch was our favorite hangout spot, where we all loved watching the loons! If I could recommend anything, I think shades in the windows facing the water would be a wonderful addition. All in all, this was a fantastic first time visiting the Hartland area!!

Fabulous Two Weeks at Great Moose Lake

We had a beautiful trip at the Hartland lake house. It was terrific to walk into a very clean home upon arrival and lovely to see the beautiful back yard and lake view. Thank you to the owners and the very accommodating couple - Christy and Arend - who look after the property. We’d love to return!

Family Reunion

The house is beautiful! It was my first time using platform like VRBO. It was easy though I was a little lost with how to get the code to the door. I wrote to the owner and he helped me out! We had other family staying nearby so easy walk to their cabins. The house is a good size, living areas are large and comfortable. Kitchen has pretty much everything needed! Bedrooms on the 2nd floor are a bit tight but fine since all we did in there was sleep! The loft was great along with the extra beds in the finished basement, and oh, the hot tub was an awesome addition! I enjoyed the paddle boat with my grandson and fishing off the dock. Sitting in the chairs by the lake looking at the stunning beauty of the area! It was a great house, a great week!

Incredible Lakeside Camp

We had an amazing week of swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, and more. The water was great and the view from the camp was unbeatable. The hot tub was refreshing each night and the air conditioning was a plus during the hottest part of the day. The deck was a perfect spot for every meal. There were lots of water toys and life jackets. There was privacy from neighbors and the lake was extremely quiet during our stay. Not a lot of crazy boaters. We rent a different camp on a lake in Maine every year. Although this isn’t the best priced camp we’ve ever rented, it is certainly one of the better ones and we would absolutely come back.

Two Weeks on Great Moose Lake

It was, once again, a beautiful stay at the lake. The upgrades to the house were greatly appreciated which included new windows and doors across both levels of the back of the house, and a large air conditioning unit in the primary living area. It made the stay that much more comfortable. We have a 21’ Chaparral which needed to be moored at night, so be prepared if you are bringing a boat to the rental. A more substantial dock would provide for additional outdoor entertainment and would perhaps eliminate the need for mooring. Overall, however, this is a top-choice home for a family vacation.

Lake view

We came to enjoy the peace and quiet and visit family in Hermon. Plenty of room and a great view. There were some issues with the condition of the oven, grill, and hot tub. Due to that we declined to use the oven or hot tub. Be aware that there are no supplies at all other than hand soap and toilet paper. I’ve stayed in numerous rentals and there were at the least, paper towels, salt and pepper, condiments and bath soap. For the price, I would expect it to have those items as the basics. I would also expect it to be spotless.

this is an amazing place

if you are looking for privacy, natural beauty and fun on a lake look no further. we did not want to leave this spacious comfortable home at the end of our vaca. All the water toys are here too! We swam, kayaked, fished, saw eagles, hawks, frogs, turtles, and of course loons. We enjoyed roasting hot dogs and marshmallows over the fire pit on a cool evening. The views from this house are so beautiful; I would love to be there in autumn for the foliage! There is something wonderful about a sunny summer morning on a lake in Maine, sipping coffee on the deck, watching the calm sparkling lake, looking forward to a swim, walk or hike. James & Zainab have provided everything you need for a family to have a great time. Even if it had been rainy weather they have lots of puzzles and games, books & DVDs etc. and there is so much room to spread out here. The beds are comfy and the kitchen is very well-appointed. Comfortable seating and tables out on the deck too. We highly recommend this house for a wonderful lakefront vacation.

Maine Getaway- August 2021

This house & the owners were FANTASTIC! We had quick responses (most within an hour) and they were very helpful!! The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans, etc. There were plenty of towels & blankets. Awesome water toys & floaties- GREAT swimming area, paddle boat, kayaks & floating dock!! GORGEOUS Sunrises!!! The firepit by the water was used every day!!!! The only 2 negatives were the distance from a store for basics (toilet paper, paper towels, etc) and the house did not have basic seasonings/coffee, etc (may be due to COVID). We LOVED our time here and would absolutely recommend it to family or friends traveling to Maine! It was secluded and quiet and just PERFECT!!

I cannot say enough great things about this place! There’s nothing like waking up the the sunrise shimmering on the lake or fishing at sunset. Even when it rained it was a beautiful view. Everything was easy to find and use. We made many memories on our week long stay. So many people have asked us about this place after hearing our experience!

Autumn in Maine

Enjoyed our stay - we came up to catch the Fall foliage and even though the season was early we enjoyed beautiful scenery. A trip to the Botanical Gardens was great as well as watching the loons and exploring the lake. We spent most evenings in the house for game nights & found it to be cozy & comfortable.

Beautiful House on the Lake

My family and I (as well as my friend and her son) had an amazing experience staying at the property. The house is gorgeous and very well maintained. The layout of the house is very well suited for multiple families with master bedroom and bathroom on the main floor and other bedrooms and an extra bathroom on the upper floor. The kitchen is large and well stocked. We felt like home. The view of the lake is breathtaking, and the access to water is suitable of swimming. Our children have enjoyed swimming, kayaking and fishing! The owner was very easy to deal with. We highly recommend this place to everyone else.

The Perfect Get-a-Way!!

This property is the perfect place to unwind from every day life. The privacy and million dollar views are second to none. The new owners have made some great upgrades in multiple areas (furniture, deck, and yard). I know they will be doing more, and I can’t wait to return next year (I’ve already booked my 2020 stay). The owners and property guy (forgot his name) were very easy to work with, and were available for any needs. The lake is pristine and quite quiet - perfect for kayaking, swimming, and floating! Thanks so much to Jim & Zainab for helping to make my vacation one I will always remember!!!

I grew up in nearby town, Dexter and still have lots of family there. My summers growing up consisted of spending lots of time on lakes fishing, water skiing and lounging at Camp.

I bought this property to share the same experience with my kids. We love the pristine water, the quiet and the sunsets. We do all kinds of water sports; tubing, water skiing, fishing, kayaking, exploring with the paddle boat etc. We spend our summers here and only open a few weeks to guests. Our guests are welcome to use our water toys.
