Beautifully Appointed MCM Home in Wine Country, Pool, Hot Tub, Gas Firepit

Green Valley Retreat is a magnificently remodeled home with high-end taste. It's a wine county gem in an agricultural community celebrated for the Farm to Table food movement. Charming and renowned restaurants and wineries are minutes away, but you can pick fresh produce from the massive guest garden and (newly planted) orchard. Additional fruit trees are scattered throughout the property. With a large in-line gas BBQ on the back deck, and choice dining in or outside, guests love cooking in as much as going out. The kitchen boasts plentiful counter space, deluxe appliances and quality accessories.

The attention to details like original artwork, ample lighting, 60+ inch TV and access to fresh cut flowers from the garden make for an excellent retreat. The main house boasts 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms along with an office/laundry room, and living and dining areas off the large kitchen. Just outside - off the back deck - are an additional full bathroom and an outdoor shower for your trips to the pool and hot tub (built into the pool).

The Pool House offers an additional sleeping space with a Queen Murphy bed and sleeper sofa in case your group isn't all couples - the maximum occupancy is still 6 people total. It's also a media room - perfect for movie time - and things like a break from the sun and gourmet coffee station.

In addition to the gardens and front yard orchard, the backyard contains a meadow of native bunch grasses - not your typical lawn - along with a stand of redwood trees, oodles of flowers, multiple seating areas, and one of our favorite built-in propane fire pits. BYOM (Bring Your Own Marshmallows). You may never want to go home!

Traveling for work? Everyone can have their own bed at Green Valley Retreat. This is an excellent location for your off-site executive retreat!


Know Before You Book:

Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours:
The maximum occupancy at Green Valley Retreat is 6 people. Quiet hours are from 9:00 pm until 7:00 am. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at all times.

Parking:
There is parking for 3 cars parked in tandem in the driveway. The garage is not available for parking. RVs, trailers and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance.

Bed Sizes:
Master bedroom: Queen bed; Second bedroom: Queen bed and Twin rolling trundle; Third bedroom: Queen bed; Pool house: Queen Murphy bed and Queen sofa bed.

Heat/Cooling Sources:
The main house has central heating and a woodstove in the living room, but there is no air conditioning. Each bedroom has ceiling fans. The Pool House has a separate heating system and does have A/C.

Road to Green Valley Retreat:
Green Valley Road is a country road - paved, with some pot holes, and no special vehicle is required. We provide detailed written driving directions to confirmed guests.

Pool & Hot Tub Temperatures:
POOL: The pool's solar heating system is switched on April through October. Since this is solar heating, the temperature of the pool can vary depending on the amount of sun and the current air temps. Typically, the pool will be around 82° end of May through September. The pool is not heated November through March. It will be cold, but you may still use it.

The hot tub is built into the pool. Once turned on, it will heat to approximately 102°. During the summer, it will heat up quickly. During the rest of the year, depending on how cold the pool water is, it can take 45 minutes or longer to heat up. The hot tub heater shuts off after 3 hours but can be reactivated. It does not operate between midnight and 7 am.

The Meadow:
In the backyard is a meadow of native bunch grasses. It is not a lawn and is not mowed like a lawn. The grass is very sturdy and more drought tolerant. Feel free to walk, run, romp and play in the meadow!

Stairs:
There are several sets of 2 to 4 steps throughout the property - all outside. Inside the main house and the main front and back decks are all on one level. The Pool House is a separate building and down 3 or 4 steps depending which path you take.

Fencing:
The back yard is fully fenced.

TV: Roku Smart TV. Guests need to provide their own login info for streaming services.

Proximity to Wineries:
Iron Horse Vineyards is the closest winery with a tasting room just 1.8 miles from the house. There are at least a dozen wineries within a few miles.

Nearest Russian River Beaches:
Two great beaches are each 8.3 miles from the house: Johnson's Beach in Guerneville and Mother's Beach in Forestville.

Nearest Ocean Beaches:
Coastal beaches such as Goat Rock Beach in Jenner and Doran Beach to the south are each about 18 miles from the house.
