Lakeside Home Atop a Mini Mtn Hideaway

Unwind on top of our private 2 acre mini-mountain! This vacation home is secretly nestled above Lake Louise and about half a mile from downtown Weaverville (short drive to Asheville). It has everything needed to enjoy an awesome mountain getaway: an ideal location, privacy, cleanliness, comfort, and entertainment.


THE HOUSE:
This home features an open floor plan and original mid-century heart pine floors that lead to a spacious covered porch, grill, and fenced back yard. Enjoy a glass of wine by the fire pit on the front patio.

The kitchen is fully stocked with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a walk-in service pantry.

The laundry room and bonus room are located off of the pantry. The bonus room features an original stone fireplace and custom stained glass to provide a cozy area for playing board games and doing puzzles.

The bathrooms (2) and bedrooms (3) are appointed with locally sourced handmade soaps and luxury linens. Each bedroom contains the following:
ā€¢Master: King bed, open en suite bathroom
ā€¢Second Bedroom: Queen bed, separate entry
ā€¢Third Bedroom: Twin bed with electric adjustable base and massage settings

The property has been lovingly renovated by us, and is our second home (but you will have the entire property to yourself).

Pets are considered - please email in advance of booking and describe your pet. There is a $25/night pet fee and additional house rules pertaining to pets.

THE LOCATION:
Weaverville is an ideal location ā€“ being an Asheville area attraction in itself (just minutes away), it offers small town charm, abundant dining options, shopping, and various attractions of its own.

From the house, one can walk or drive to downtown Weaverville (please refer to the walking map in the welcome book upon arrival for sidewalk route). Downtown is home to numerous locally owned shops, galleries, breweries, and award winning restaurants ā€“ including one of Americaā€™s best small town bakeries (Well-Bred). The area also has many outdoor adventures to choose from (e.g. hiking on the Blue Ridge Parkway, zip lining at Navatat, golf at Reems Creek Golf club, etc.).

At Lake Louise (across the street from the house) youā€™ll find a 0.6mi walking trail around the lake, outdoor gym, large playground, covered picnic area and various community events. Capture photos at the small waterfall and antique water wheel.

We loved this property! Away from the hustle & bustle of downtown Asheville, but close enough to get to town & spend time there. Also very convenient to The Biltmore House, which our kids were able to enjoy for the first time. We enjoyed the restaurants in Weaverville both for our breakfasts & dinners. The lake across the street is very peaceful & easy to walk to enjoy nature. The privacy was perfect along with the views of the lake. Our dogs enjoyed the backyard & we all had a great time!

Wonderful stay

We had a great stay! Great location to Downtown Asheville and grocery stores. Mary is very quick to respond to any questions. Lot's of nice, extra touches-they provided snacks and dog cookies. We hope to stay again when we are in town.

Great Stay

Itā€™s been about 20 years that weā€™ve been visiting NC & itā€™s the first vacation rental that weā€™ve stayed in thatā€™s been in town. Lovely home, exactly as pictured & very convenient to Weaverville. Lake Louise is across the street & we hit it lucky for the farmers market. Loved the covered porch, no humidity!! Kitchen was well stocked with cooking things, but too many good restaurants & a wonderful bakery to visit. Just a great home & Mary was very attentive to anything we needed. Definitely recommend a visit, we will stay there again.

Excellent accommodations

My friends and I just stayed at this property and we loved everything about it. The back porch was the favorite space for us to catch up and relax. The location is perfect and the lake and park across the street adds to the value of this rental. The beds were comfortable and so many extra amenities were included that you just dont find at most rentals. We definitely plan to stay here again.

Perfect Location & Pet Friendly

We enjoyed staying in the extremely clean and cute Mini Mtn Hideaway! We were close to downtown, Stony Knob restaurant and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Every morning my pup, Zoe and I walked down the hill to the track around Lake Louise. We had beautiful weather and our host, Mary couldn't have been more accommodating! We hope to visit again.

Mountain Hideaway

Weā€™ve been coming to Asheville area for many years and this is by far the best place weā€™ve stayed in. The location cannot be beat, overlooking the lake, walk to downtown Weaverville, minutes from downtown Asheville and the most amazing property for dogs! Welcome Friends! My name is Mary. My husband and I love to renovate old homes and bring them back to their former glory. Transforming these spaces and sharing them with guests is one of my favorite things to do. I also work as a Registered Nurse and have supervised the critical care ICU at Mission Hospital for over 20 years.

We moved from Chicago to the Asheville area 30 years ago and raised our three daughters here. While the area has changed dramatically over the years, we would never think of leaving!

My family and I have taken great care to ensure our vacation rental is well-equipped and that no detail has been forgotten. We are excited to routinely welcome back people visiting the area for long getaway weekends, reunions, weddings, and many other little gatherings in between.
