The Thomas Jarrett House circa 1894 has been meticulously restored with all original hardwood floors, woodwork and windows. The Home is listed on the National Historic Register. This 4 bedroom 3 full bath dream home features a professional style gas range, 2 ovens, stainless appliances, an espresso and cappuccino maker and more. it is truly a chefs kitchen. This 2 story home has wonderful outdoor living areas; 2 downstairs covered porches, a beautiful brick patio and 1 upper veranda. It also has a large fully fenced yard. This home has 6 fireplaces, 10 foot ceilings on main level 9 foot on 2nd, claw foot tubs, flatscreens, wifi and more.

The Jarrett House is a few short steps from over a dozen of Asheville's top restaurants and pubs including Sunny Point Cafe, Jargon, The Oyster House Brewing Company, Nengs Jr., Universal Joint Nine Mile. and more. Want ice cream? Asheville's best The Hop Ice Cream is also a few steps away. There are a few great mucic venues, also a short stroll away.

Not only can you spend the day walking around town, you'll also be surrounded by mountains and waterfalls and close to several outdoor actives. Ride bikes to the beautiful French Broad River just over a mile away where you can tube, kayak, canoe or just walk along the river. Spend the day Zip Lining just 1.7 miles away, where you will also find whitewater rafting outfitters, treetops adventure, climbing, and rappelling. Some of the worlds best mountain biking is just 6 miles from your door. You can also spend the day at The Biltmore Estate just 3.8 miles away. Blue Ridge Parkway is 6.2 miles away, take a nice ride!

We LOVED this house. It's a must stay. Easy to lots of cool places in West Asheville area. We made the easy walk to grocery store (all sidewalk) to buy what we wanted to cook during our stay.Highly recommend and we will come back to stay.

Amazing experience! I rented this beautiful home for the weekend as a Christmas present for my parents. To call this home beautiful is an understatement! Chalked full of history and charm. The owners have done a great job and you can feel the love and intention that has been poured into it. I encourage everyone to read the history on this home because it is fascinating. The host was communicative and great to work with. 10/10 experience. We plan to come back soon!

This was an awesome, eccentric, trip back in time! We loved this house! The walkabilty to all the restaurants and shopping cant be beat either, it was everything we were looking and hoped for. What a delightful home. Was a wonderful size for a family of 4 with a dog. It is very close to everything. I highly recommend this home. However, if traveling with a dog the yard is not completely fenced where you can let your dog roam on own and fence is not high - a midsize dog could jump over. You MUST have dog on leash at all times. But house is dog friendly. Had a lovely stay. Thank you.

This Home was AMAZING!!!Mitch reached out days before our trip, with suggestions on restaurants, outings, events! So welcoming and helpful! Literally telling us he will be there if we need anything! We live in San Diego, and this charming home was what i visualized North Carolina homes would be like!This historic home has been so beautifully updated! It is romantic and modern with antique touches throughout! The location was PERFECT for us! Private parking for both of our cars and close to everything! Everyone slept great and we all remarked on how nice the pillows were!! I totally recommend staying here!!!! 5 stars for sure!

This is a cool old house. It's comfortable and was pretty convenient for everywhere we wanted to go. I would say the listing is a little misleading - it is only fully fenced if you close the front gate and another gate that goes to the house behind, but that isn't really doable because of that other house, which shares the driveway.

I wish you would have asked me, because there is a quiet, responsible and respectful lady living in the property to the rear, and she knows to keep the gate closed at all times. Wonderful stay in charming home (return guest)

Great family getaway

The house was the perfect place for a family getaway for my grown children and infant grandchildren. The layout was great for the family and the house was very nice and well stocked. The location was convenient to everywhere. We would definitely rent it again.

Historic Charm and Modern convenience. The home has incredible historic character that transports you back in time - you can truly feel the stories these walls could tell. But what really impressed us was the beautifully updated kitchen that had everything we needed and more. It’s the perfect example of how to honor a home’s history while making it functional for modern guests.The location absolutely cannot be beat! We loved being able to walk to all the amazing bars and restaurants nearby. No need to worry about parking or designated drivers - we could just stroll out the front door and explore everything West Asheville has to offer. The walkability made our entire trip so much more relaxing and enjoyable.

Beautiful Home

Gorgeous historic home updated with every modern convenience. My family met here to celebrate Christmas and it was the perfect place for us. Walking distance to many restaurants, breweries and shops. Short drive to downtown area. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful house!! Close to everything!

The house was amazing! Very clean and well appointed. There were some questionable people walking near the property but we had no issues. It’s close to great restaurants and the grocery store. It’s also close to the main attractions.

Beautiful home and great location

The home and location are fantastic and the house was well-appointed with starter supplies. The only issue is that the 4th bedroom has a blowup mattress; I wish the listing had clarified that. Beautiful property

Beautiful home!

We greatly enjoyed our stay in this beautifully restored and decorated home. Some information in the check-in directions needs to be updated (sadly no cappuccino maker), but the host was response and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Hey Alexandra, Thank you! Im so happy that you enjoyed your stay! Sorry about the cappuccino maker, it quit working before your arrival and we bought another one. I really should have mentioned this to you, but I thought we would have enough time to replace it before your arrival. Great place and great location

We come to Asheville every year for a mountain biking trip. We’ve been doing the trip for about 10 years. This house is our favorite mainly because of the location. You can walk all of West Asheville and it’s super conveniently located next to two of our favorite breakfast places and a new favorite dinner spot. The house is very unique and I would highly recommend.

Beautiful home in a great location

The house is spotless and very comfortable. I wish the yard was completely fence in at least one area for our dog to run off leash but the yard was large and lovingly maintained. The location is great as you can walk anywhere in west Asheville. Thanks so much for the wonderful stay, Mitch.

We would love to have you back, and if you do come back, I want you to know that the yard is completely fenced if you shut the gate in the driveway entrance. Want to feel like you stepped back in time, but stay in an updated and modern home? This is it. We really enjoyed the charm of the Jarrett House - listed on the National Register of Historic Places! Plenty of room to spread out, great kitchen with very modern appliances - all around a great stay!!
