The house was beautiful. The ocean views were fantastic with beautiful sunsets. Kitchen VERY well stocked. House labels and guides very helpful. Property manager very responsive and informative. The water pump in the garage makes a deep booming sound like bass beats. Finally figured it out-thought it was a car driving by with radio on. Thank you for a wonderful visit.

I would like to say how wonderful this property was. The communication between myself and the owner was phenomenal. He was very responsive to any questions. He was very professional and kind. The home was exactly as advertised. It was clean and plenty of room. The view was spectacular. The kitchen was filled with all the necessities you could think of. I would recommend this property to family and friends. I would definitely rent again.

The view from the living room is amazing. We had three couples stay and the bedrooms were well spaced so every couple had a private space. The kitchen was fully stocked. We used the bbq and the hot tub, both in excellent condition. Thereā€™s a short walk to the trail head that took you down to the beach or through the surrounding hills.

Lovely home - wonderful location

Great stay. The kitchen was well stocked and the host provided lots of thoughtful bonuses, like foil in the kitchen, a compressed fire log for the fireplace (so wonderful for the evening ambiance) and beach towels etc. Also, the furniture in the family room is super comfortable and cozy - (I've been to houses in the past that had cute furniture but it wasn't comfortable to hang out in so that was important to me). Beds were comfy too. There was a little glitch with something not working but the owner was super good about letting us know in advance so we could plan around it in case it wasn't repaired in time - can't fault the owner for something unexpectedly breaking and super appreciated the advance notice and his efforts to facilitate the repair in time for our stay. The shortcut path to the beach has a locked gate and isn't available for guests - seems like you could just step over it and use the path anyway - not saying we did that, just saying... We all look forward to our next stay here!

Great weekend stay!

Great house with ocean views, lovely windows, great amenities. We were a group of middle aged men in for a golf weekend at Bodega Harbour Links and this was the perfect spot for us. Close to the course, and well appointed for our group to cook our own meals and hang out. Host gave us great instructions and things went flawlessly. Hope to do this again next spring!

Truly lovely, peaceful place.

We celebrated my mom's 80th birthday at this beautiful house. I feel like the pictures sort of undersold it. The house is perfectly laid out for a big family celebration. The kitchen, living room, and dining room are all on the same level, but spread out enough that folks could be doing a puzzle in the dining room, cooking, or lounging around, all together but not on top of each other. Two bedrooms on the main floor were convenient, and more bedrooms downstairs felt far enough removed for privacy and quiet. The neighborhood is also beautiful and peaceful.We were there in April, and had some beautiful weather. The view of rolling hills and the Pacific Ocean out of the living room and kitchen is incredible, and thanks to the house facing more southwest than due west, we weren't overwhelmed with sun coming in the windows in the afternoons. The kitchen is excellent. Lovely touches like the opening windows on either side of the sink made standing there so pleasant, watching crows, hawks, and vultures soar on the cliffs over the beach and cows and turkeys sun themselves on the green hills.The house is also in great shape. The hot tub had been repaired just before our visit so it took a while to come up to temperature, but other than that no complaints. The owner was very responsive and all instructions were very clear. This is a great place for a relaxing family get-together. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Bodega Retreat

We had a wonderful stay over the Thanksgiving holiday. Although I encountered some issues with the VRBO app, Dave was incredibly responsive and quickly provided all the information we needed. Our out-of-town family had plenty of space, and the location offered easy access to both the beach and fantastic hiking opportunities.

This home is very nice. Clean and well stocked with everything you can think of. Instructions were clear and easy to follow for everything around the home. Views out the front windows were spectacular. Over all this was a very well maintained clean home. Pride in ownership is seen everywhere two thumbs up.

It is a beautiful house with outstanding views of the ocean. It is in a quiet neighborhood, there was plenty of off street parking and the living areas and bedrooms were very comfortable.

Kitchen time is a dream

We loved the views of the ocean -- even from the kitchen sink! Our group likes to cook, so the well-equipped kitchen with all appliances in good working order made our stay very enjoyable. The house can get a bit warm on hot days, but there were some fans in the closets for our use. Dave is a great host, who responds promptly to any question/ problem. Looking forward to staying here again.

Spectacular views, cozy spot

We loved the views of the ocean and surrounding hills from the living room. The kitchen had everything we needed. The living room fireplace, well stocked with Duraflame logs, was especially appreciated. Primary bedroom had a soft, comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom. While clearly the house can accommodate a much bigger group, it provided a cozy winter weekend get-away for the two of us.

I was born and raised in the San Francisco/Bay Area and so being near water is part of my genetic make-up. My family and I love the ocean - sunny, foggy, or rainy; fall, winter, spring or summer. On vacation, we donā€™t wander too far from a large body of water - usually Hawaii, or, more recently, the Caribbean. Bodega Bay meets all our criteria for the perfect retreat: it is located on the coast but yet is nestled in a quiet protected harbor; it is not too isolated, only a 1/2 hour drive from Petaluma; and it is not a long, hair-raising drive along narrow winding roads (a nightmare for those of us who are graying rapidly). It is close yet far away.

Now, as we wind down our careers and parenting responsibilities, we see this as our dream retreat and getaway - a short 90 minute drive from the San Francisco Bay Area. Being so close to home, it will serve many purposes. We look forward to recharging our minds and bodies hiding away at this beautiful spot on the Coast. This will also be a place where our large extended family can converge to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and holidays. There is something here for everyone - golf, hiking, antique hunting, fishing, and just quiet time.

Bodega Harbour boasts beautiful custom homes, but Oyster Catcher is particularly special. It was designed by reknown achitect James McCalligan of Santa Rosa. Known as the Malin Residence, photos may be seen on his website. The unique design maximizes its location with wrap-around windows allowing panoramic coastal and ocean views. There are architectural details throughout the house that make it a joy to be in. It is elegant yet practical. The floor plan is laid out so that large groups are easily accommodated but also privacy and quiet is easily obtained when needed.

O que faz essa propriedade ser Ćŗnica?

This home is across the street from the oceanfront homes which are built at a lower level on the cliff and thereby do not to obstruct the views. Access to a sheltered and quiet beach is nearby via the Shorttail Gulch Trail. The home is at the quieter and more private South end of Bodega Harbour and is not on the golf course like many of the other homes available here.
