Premier Waterfront Cottage 1, All Guests have complimentary use of many kayaks, paddle boards and canoes to explore the Peconic Bay, including Free Beach Pass to 5 Local Town Beaches. We are in Wine Country with over 40 Wineries for tastings and tours. Indulge in the Historic Culture of Long Island. Look at our reviews J&S Reeve Cottages. We are Pet Friendly. Come on out and stay with us for your much needed calm, quiet and relaxing vacation, that you deserve! Tranquility at Its Best!

2 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom with spacious main area and kitchen with full size appliances.

Bed Types: 1 Queen, 2 Twin Beds and 1 Sofa

Exterior

Separate cottage one story with screened in porch surrounded by green grass and well manicured. Parking by the cottage. 365 feet of waterfront. Garden is towards the rear of the cottage near separate laundry room, outdoor shower and community propane barbecue. Each cottage has a personal charcoal barbecue.

Local Area

Located on the Northfork of Long Island NY in Wine Country, Fine Dining, Unique Local Shops, Tanger Outlets and Every Day Town Life Shops. Vibrant small and old town feel with many local shops, farm stands to go to, 40 plus wineries to take tours, activities and especially taste the wine, all a few minutes away by car.

expect extra pet fee 125 dolars per pet not listed on the vrbo pervfriendly property description

Nice scenery. Spartan kitchen furnishings and bathroom toiletries. Paid booking (including all ocuppants and pets) and was invoiced by vrbo. Received addtional invoice from the owner adding 250 dolars pet fee (125x2 pets) which was not listed on the property description that only mentions "pet friendly".

There is a pet fee and VRBO did list it and it was in the description. However it does not get added to the money on VRBO. You have to pay on arrival.VRBO did send you a notice that this was due and therefore you paid it. kitchen and bathroom is fully stocked with all supplies. The kitchen has full-size appliances, pot pans dishes everything needed with paper goods as in paper towels and toilet paper and soap for the bathroom.

Cute cottage

The cottage was sweet and for the most part clean. The kitchen garbage pail had not been emptied and was more than halfway full. There were also crumbs on the dining room table. Obviously someone had eaten there and forgotten to clean up after themselves. Bedrooms were clean and comfortable. Lovely enclosed porch to sit on but we had to set up the chair cushions ourselves, and ask for the door leading outside to be put on. Sandy explained that there had been a problem with the initial delivery of doors. Pretty view of the inlet and bay from the enclosed porch.

We agreed to a earlier check in. The table had specks of pollen not crumbs due to the window being open as we air each cottage after each guest has departed and before the arrival of the next guest for the cleaning service to clean. The screened porch was cleaned and sprayed with water due to the pollen and the cushions were set up to keep dry. The doors to the screened porch had been on back order for 1-1/2 months due to COVID and many products and lumber are on back order. Sorry for the couple of things you were not happy with however glad you enjoyed the rest and the view of the inlet and the bay.

Great views

We had a great experience, check in was easy & quick. Sandy & John were great hosts. The cottage was quiet, cozy & clean. Sarah, Bill, Jeannie & Darby.

Absolute Beauty and Relaxation

Such beauty, nature and relaxation are hard to come by so close to NYC. The property is all that is portrayed in the photos and more. We were 4 in a waterfront 2 bedroom cottage and found it adequately spacious and comfortable in every way. I took to sleeping on the screened porch which was totally delightful The breezes, the views, the early morning day break, swans and wildlife mesmerized me. And then there is the possibility of kayaking or canoeing in the bay---not to be missed. The cottages have everything you need but, if you need something else, Sandy and John bring it almost before you think it. They are charming and friendly with much pride in providing a great experience for their guests. Almost everyone staying at the Reeve cottages had a feline or canine family member and that added to the fun and low-key atmosphere of the property. The flowers are gorgeous! Everything here exudes care in every respect. I thought about buying sunflowers for the cottage when I arrived and then thought the better of it......I could see lovely flowers through every window. North Shore beaches are minutes away but the ocean beach in Hampton Bays is just a short drive with little traffic, Fresh vegetable stands abound as do vineyards. All in all, this is a great location and choice for getting away from it all and rediscovering tranquility and beauty. We hope to return again soon.

Girls Weekend

It was a cozy cottage, very basic and could have used a little more TLC. The gardens around the cottage and the view of the bay was lovely. The hammocks and outdoor shower got plenty of use as did the screened in porch in the evening. Very quiet location. All in all, was perfect for 2 nights, 4 ladies, north fork wine and alot of catching up.
