Premier Waterfront Cottage 3, All Guests have complimentary use of many kayaks, paddle boards and canoes to explore the Peconic Bay, including Free Beach Pass to 5 Local Town Beaches. We are in Wine Country with over 40 Wineries for tastings and tours. Indulge in the Historic Culture of Long Island. Look at our reviews J&S Reeve Cottages. We are Pet Friendly. Come on out and stay with us for your much needed calm, quiet and relaxing vacation, that you deserve! Tranquility at Its Best!

Exterior

Separate cottage one story with screened in porch surrounded by green grass and well manicured. Parking by the cottage. 365 feet of waterfront. Garden is towards the rear of the cottage near separate laundry room, outdoor shower and community propane barbecue. Each cottage has a personal charcoal barbecue.


Local Area

Located on the Northfork of Long Island NY in Wine Country, Fine Dining, Unique Local Shops, Tanger Outlets and Every Day Town Life Shops. Vibrant small and old town feel with many local shops, farm stands to go to, 40 plus wineries to take tours, activities and especially taste the wine, all a few minutes away by car.

Best vacation in a very very very long time!

This is a miraculous peaceful place, that is an amazing combination of laid back and modern facilities! The owner have mastered the art of being right there for every need but without being in any way intrusive or too present like in other cottages we have been. The cottages are wonderful and artsy , and the grounds are like from a movie setting. We were 4 adults , one 2 year old and a Great Dane , and the 2 room cottage was suitable. We stayed for 1 month, and I am glad we did, made exellent memories with my daughter and my elderly parents in a beautiful place.

Beautiful place

These cottages are beautiful and we had a lovely experience. Two small issues to address: 1) property manager was not clear on beach pass access. We missed out on a day at the beach because we didn't realize the house came with a pass. This was never communicated to us. 2) if you have a dog, you are going to be told you need to leash the dog at all times outside even if you have your own yard with the house. Not necessarily something we planned for.

So sorry you did not read this on our web site. Our web site clearly states there is a beach pass and there are 5 beaches in the Town of Riverhead that this Pass is for parking. As for the dogs to be leased, it is a Town ordinance that dogs are to be leashed. We have other guests here as well and we respect all guests, therefore we ask for dogs to be leashed.

Sweet Little Cabin

We were 3 adults and were comfortable, but not a lot of room to spare - there could be a little less furniture. It's a peaceful setting with beautiful surroundings. The quaint town of Riverhead is close by. Sandy was was a responsive host.

Amazing getaway

This was just what we were looking for. The cottage is in a small town with little traffic and few "tourists". So, it was peaceful and we didn't need to wear masks most of the time. We had lots of fun kayaking from the cottage and relaxing in the sun. As others have noted, John and Sandy were wonderful hosts and it was a great spot for our dog. We took several day trips to wineries, outlet mall, North Fork, and South Fork locations. There are so many beaches in the area and they were not crowded. It could not have been a nicer week!

Beautiful, Quiet escape

My girlfriend and I absolutely loved Sandy’s cottage and will certainly be coming back. The cottages are on a quiet river bank in a large and beautifully manicured estate. The history of the land is interesting in itself, but Sandy and her husband have done a great job of making the property very welcoming and enjoyable. It’s well off the main road so very well secluded, The river opens up into the massive bay maybe 100 yards down. The cottage itself was very cozy, we loved the three seasons porch off the back. We will certainly be going again soon

Wonderful place to get away from it all!!

I am 2 weeks into a 3 week stay at the J&S Reeves Cottages and am so happy that we chose to shelter here while waiting to move into a new house. The cottage is bright, clean, and comfortable. The setting is tranquil with a peaceful view of the creek. The paddle boards and kayaks have been a blast. The four area beaches are close by and not crowded at all. I thought we may get bored and be on top of each other after three weeks but there is so much to do and explore in the area. Definitely will come back!
