Papakea G204 is a 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom condo situated on the 2nd floor, and can accommodate up to 4 guests. Papakea Resort has elevators for easy access to your condo in paradise. This condo offers a fully equipped kitchen, perfect for dining in. The living room area features a new queen sleeper sofa, one split A/C, and ceiling fans. Entertainment includes a TV equipped with cable and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the home. Other upgrades included in the bedroom are a split A/C, a new king bed, fresh paint and décor for a tranquil night's rest. This condo also has a private washer and dryer for added convenience.

Enjoy stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and the neighboring islands of Molokai and Lanai. Watch beautiful sunsets from your private lanai as turtles swim nearby and be mesmerized by the humpback whales breaching during the winter months!

*** Notice of Property Plumbing Project:
- Papakea Resort is performing a property-wide extensive plumbing project and you may hear some noise during this time. Work in this unit begins August 4th, 2025, with an estimated completion for this unit projected on or around September 2nd, 2025.
- Standard work hours for this project will be from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday unless authorized for weekend work.
- Contractors will be present on the property to begin quieter preparatory tasks as early as 7:00 AM.
- To minimize possible disruption, louder tasks will not start before 10:00 AM.
- Dates are subject to change. Not all units will be affected at the same time.
- We have been notified that the project is pending completion around June 2026. We have decreased rates during these dates to compensate for any inconvenience. ***

Papakea Resort offers lush tropical landscaping, koi lagoon ponds, oceanfront saltwater pools, hot tubs, shuffleboards, golf greens, pickleball, and tennis courts! It is located just North of the famous Ka'anapali Beach. Walk to nearby local shops, cafes, restaurants, and grocery stores. It is a quick drive to Whalers Village and many of Maui's top beaches like Kaanapali, Napili Bay, and Kapalua Bay. Parking is free for one vehicle; additional vehicles are $5/day. This fee is collected by the Resort's Front Desk staff upon arrival.

We were shocked that major repairs were being made daily to the water system in the G building. No alerts were made at the time of booking, nor later. At the Papakea around 2013, we were alerted that the C building would be closed while all lanais were being upgraded. Had this been our first ever visit, I would have been irate!

Nicely appointed one bedroom unit with a view of the pool and ocean

The unit was clean and had a well equipped kitchen, with the host kindly providing enough coffee filters, dishwasher and washing machine tabs, garbage bags, etc for the two weeks we were there. A couple of suggestions: the fold out couch could do with a better mattress, and the lanai furniture is not very comfortable. Otherwise, a lovely unit!

Great stay

Our family of 3 enjoyed a wonderful stay in West Maui. The property had all the necessary amenities including a great pool and hot tub. Close to restaurants and groceries. Very pleased overall.

No working fridge

Fridge did not work from the time we arrived with a carload of Costco groceries. Property Manager brought two mini-fridges which barely fit all our food. Instead of bringing a new fridge, we had to wait for a techicisn who had to order a part which wouldn’t arrive until after we left.

Great Choice in Ka'anapali

We are frequent travelers to Hawaii, and to Maui in particular, so we know the options quite well. There are places where you can spend over $2,000 per night, and there are very basic rentals for $100 or less. But essentially there are two types of stays in Maui: upcountry or oceanfront. If you're looking at oceanfront, then what you will want aside from a clean and comfortable condo in a resort (which this one is), are good views, pleasant grounds, walking distance to the beach, lounge and beach equipment, etc. This place gets five stars because it has all that. View: sit on the lanai and you'll get great views of the beautiful grounds and the ocean. Grounds: koi pond, two pools, two spa pools, lots of places to relax and enjoy. Equipment: provided for all activities on the grounds, or for beaches. Beach: Yes, there is no beach fronting Papakea, but a trifling walk next door over a short foot bridge takes you to the beach in front of adjoining resorts. No need to walk out on the street, and no need to stuff everything in the rental car to go to a beach. In addition to all these plusses, the location is great. There is grocery shopping very close by, as well. A 10-minute drive takes you to Ka'anapali Beach, the Whaler Shops; and 15 minutes takes you to Lahaina. Day trips get you anywhere else on the island. The price is incredibly good, so you get a great value. Unless you were thinking of dropping $1k a night or more, just stop right now and book this place!

Perfect!

Great location! Beach was super close, house is stocked with everything we needed and nicely decorated without a bunch of nicnacs everywhere! We couldn't be happier and look forward to staying here again in the near future. The owner is very nice!!!

Amazing Hosts

Amazing rental, hosts were very helpful and kind. Had just about everything you needed from beach chairs to putters for the putting green. If I ever go back to Hawaii, I would love to stay here again.

View from the lanai

Great views of the ocean from the lanai. Sunset is spot-on to enjoy here with an evening cocktail! The unit was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable too. The property grounds are beautifully landscaped and communication with the management quick and easy. Hope to return again

Beautiful 80s style condo! It needs some updates and deep cleaning

We had a great stay. Beautiful gardens, pools and beaches. Very helpful Concierge! We will return and stay here again. FYI, refrigerator leaks and bedroom window screens above the bed were caked with looked like years of dust.

Anniversary Stay

The unit was well maintained and in a great location. We have stayed at Papakea before and never disappoints. Could use some better lighting in the shower area. But other than that, comfortable bed and nice decor!

Perfect spot for a mother-daughter trip

Well-appointed condo. Balcony with views of the courtyard and pool and the ocean beyond. The complex was full of vacating families but not loud or disruptive - a nice beachy vibe. Easy walk to great takeout food. we enjoyed the outdoor yoga class offered by the resort.

Amazing vacation!

Great relaxing getaway

Papakea is a great resort and in a great location. The unit was immaculate and everything we could have asked for was provided ie: cooking utensils, towels, beach chairs, laundry etc etc (which as first time visitors to the island, was really helpful). Huge king size bed and even the pullout couch was comfortable. The view from the lanai overlooking the pool and beach beautiful restful and relaxing. Very happy stay and happily able to recommend for a future visit Mahalo, Mary

We enjoyed our 10 day stay at the lovely Papakea Resort condo. The grounds were always clean. A short walk to food trucks, the market, and the start of the beach walk way. The condo was comfortable and had everything we needed, including being able to see the beautifully sunsets from the lanai!

Clean. Comfortable bed. Kids said hide-a-bed was good. Kitchen had everything we needed. All appliances worked well. AC was loud but we would just use for a bit it to cool the place and then use the fresh air. Great view (would have preferred tall table and chairs so railing didn’t obstruct when sitting on lanai). But we also understand this can be a safety issue for little kids. Although there isn’t a beach right out front, the grounds are beautiful and close proximity to everything (foodtrucks, stores, surf and snorkel rental). Easy and ample parking for rental car so did lots of day trips to various beaches. We appreciated beach umbrella, towels and little cooler. There were beach chairs too, but we didn’t use them. We easily recommend this place and would happily return. The only issue is we aren’t still there.
