Private, fully-equipped home in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan that is close to many attractions and endless things to do! Decorated with winter and Christmas decor from November-early January.
Hike, fish, ride fat bike trails, visit waterfalls, swim in the lakes, visit the Great Lakes; the availability of the Great Outdoors is endless and is the perfect opportunity for you and your family or friends to have a year- round getaway! In winter, the area transforms into a perfect place to downhill and cross country ski, snowmobile, ride UTV's, snowshoe, visit Lake Superior, or Ice Fish! Complete with modern decor and lots of beds! Constant upkeep and maintenance keep the house looking nice and feeling like home. Great cell service! (verified on many cell networks). High speed wifi, air conditioning, toys, movies, and games to help make your time at the house enjoyable while youā€™re not out and about.

We have been verified as a great place to stay for those sensitive to chemical air fresheners and scents. We do not use air fresheners, we provide low/no scent soap, and clean with mostly natural cleaners. Please let us know if this applies to you and we will make special note to our cleaning personnel and make sure to the house is properly prepared for your arrival. For this same reason, we donā€™t allow four-legged friends; those with allergies need not worry about having a reaction in our home.

So much value as compared to a hotel! Privacy, a full kitchen, back deck, jacuzzi tub, plenty of room for lots of friends or family, built in entertainment (Tv and/or games), a yard to enjoy, and close to many area attractions! We are less than 10 minutes from Snow River Resort, where you can ski at both Black River Basin & Jackson Creek (Formerly Big Snow Resort; Blackjack and Indianhead) on one ticket! Easy access to UTV and snowmobile trails right from the house; no need to park elsewhere!

Room to park a boat or Two trucks with snowmobile trailers along the house.

We offer contactless check in/out and hand sanitizer. We are very responsive and enjoy sharing our home with you!

Clean place, loved the backyard and all of the leaves. Proximity to waterfalls, Lake Superior and many shops was great. Be aware that all beds are upstairs and to bring a baby gate or some sort of blockade.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this updated open living space with a wonderfully stocked kitchen. We utilized the convenient location to branch out to various scenic locations that had waterfalls. Loved the beauty of the area.

As always, this house is the absolute best. This was our second year to this house for our annual family vacation and we loved every minute. The hosts are incredible at communicating and the house is stocked with everything youā€™d need. Highly recommend.

It was as pictured. The garden tub was dirty and gross. The houses around us were abandoned. It was quiet. We were there in winter, snow accumulated over 8 inches 2 days. No problem, we r yoopers, but NO street plowing, no actual shovel. We had our own shovel and capable vehicles. Love the surrounding towns, lots to do. No heat upstairs, but plenty of blankets. Oven was smokey and dirty, but worked. Great hot water and heater downstairs, just needs to overflow up. We also live in old house, we had vents to get heat up, and electric fireplace...just a suggestion. Beds on the floor everywhere. No foundations, low ceilings..good for young kids or teens. Overall...Meh.

Cozy, comfortable, convenient, great stay

Seven guys one bedroom, how is that going to work. Everyone in our group was questioning my judgement. It worked out great, everyone had their own bed, very comfortable and having one bathroom was not an issue, plenty of hot water. We were up snowmobiling, so coming home and having a large area to unwind was great, easy sleding right out the door. The kitchen was well equipped lots of pots and pans.

Cozy Cabin

Very clean, cute, and convenient. Just a short drive for us to ice skate, downhill ski, and cross country ski in the area. We made all our meals and the kitchen had all the items we needed. Would stay again next time we are up in this area!

UP Skiing Get-A-Way

We had a blast! 2- 68 yr olds, 2- 40 yr olds, 5 kids 12-18 yr olds. Sleeping was cozy and we all got a kick out of it. We made jokes of it feeling like ā€œThe Waltonsā€ā€¦.ā€goodnight JohnBoyā€ā€¦.Weā€™d definitely stay there again!!!

Up for a ski speed camp weekend

House was very close to the Snow River ski area. Nice and convenient to the town of Wakefield with gas and a Dollar general. Also the bakery has very good donuts, and pastys. Our first time to the UP and first time using a VRBO. Nina the host was very helpful with our questions. And even allowed a late drop of one day with a refund. This was due to the plan of bringing our snowmobiles but NO snow. The neighbor was very nice too! Hearing his stories makes me want to come back next year with more snow! House is updated and clean with everything you need.

Cute and clean

This little lodge worked well for our needs for our family of 7 for a Monday-Friday stay. The house was clean, comfortable and affordable. It was important that we had a wi fi connection that was reliable and we were pleased that our son was able to log in for work purposes. He didnā€™t have any connectivity issues. The nearby town had a great bakery and a cute locally sourced gift shop. We recommend both! As we were there in summer and werenā€™t in area to ski, we spent our time taking day trips between 30 min to one hour+ away from the house. This house would really be ideal for the winter visitor as ski destinations are close by, but it worked out well for our needs and we would stay here again.

Porcupine Mountains

I couldnā€™t have ask for a better stay very clean spacious close to about five waterfalls porcupine mountains 15 minutes away we loved our stay didnā€™t wanna go back home. The neighbors were nice. The host were very nice. I canā€™t say enough about this place we will be back. We loved it going down in the family history books as one of the best stays ever I would give this place 20 stars if I could price unbeatable

We are a a nurse and airplane mechanic couple with 4 kids. We enjoy downhill skiing, visiting waterfalls, looking for unique rocks and driftwood, swimming at Sunday Lake, 4th of July Fireworks, and water skiing.

This property is set up for families, but is equally comfortable for couples or friends wanting to stay together for some time away. It's fully furnished and all furniture and bedding is new within the last year. It feels like Home and we know you'll love it! You're nearby town, but yet close to the wilderness. Great cell phone service that's proven/tested with Sprint, Verizon, At&t and US Cellular. We're sure other networks work well too.
