A Cozy Vacation Home with a Sauna & Beautiful Nature View

Celtic Haus is a comfortable vacation home perfect for a family or multiple couples. It has a large entryway, 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the main floor. The lower level offers a recreation room with Bumper Pool, futon, a sauna and laundry room. The second floor offers a spacious living room with high ceilings, a dining area, kitchen, and new game room/ TV room. The loft can be reached from the second level near the bathroom.

Our office is right here in the Powderhorn area with on-site maintenance, housekeeping, and reservation staff ready to help. You’ll always have support nearby, and if you’d rather not stop in, we’re also available 24/7 by call, message, or email. Whatever works best for you, we’re here to make your stay as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Nestled in the heart of the Upper Peninsula, the Powderhorn area is a true four-season destination.
The neighborhood also offers great local spots to enjoy—grab a hearty meal at Iron Nugget, sip a coffee at Copper Cup, try out a beer at old Iron Brewery or try a local favorite at Pit Stop, Uptown Café, or Club 28. You’ll also find shopping, live music, and seasonal festivals nearby that bring the community to life.

We are conveniently located just off US-2 and only a few miles from Ironwood Airport, which offers daily flights through Denver Air. Whether you’re arriving by car or by air, our location makes getting here easy and stress-free, putting you close to all the area has to offer.

The living room has a large brick fireplace and patio doors leading out to the deck, which offers a scenic nature view. Wifi is available throughout this unit, which can be found on the second floor. Air Conditioning is available for the summer, and all rooms have fans. Celtic Haus is located just under .5 mile from the main ski lodge. Two Smart TVs are available for streaming. The owners are proud of the addition in 2024, and hope you enjoy your stay.

We are definitely staying here again! It was the perfect location for visiting family and getting back to the area. There were some issues with water pressure, but the property manager was really responsive and got it sorted out.

Overall we liked the house. Good location. The guide sent by email and also printed at the house had very good and helpful information about the things to do and see in the area.There is plenty of space to be together or spend some alone time. The kitchen had all the necessary things to cook our own dinners. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of bathrooms. The only problem we had was with the water pressure and warmth intermittently. We communicated with the management and they sent a person promptly to check it out. The issue persisted, unfortunately, so two people could not shower simultaneously (we didn't even attempt this) even though there were enough bathrooms to be able to do that. Otherwise the house is very comfortable and homey. Also - the view of the Powderhorn mountain is blocked by trees in summer, but the area is quiet and pleasant.

Great property!

The Celtic Haus had everything our group needed and more than enough space. Ample kitchenware & amenities for everyone. Great mix of classic decor/design with modern upgrades. Within walking distance to big powderhorn. Only downfall was poor water pressure, otherwise we highly recommend!

Great time

My daughter and I love coming here. It’s quiet and cozy and gives us the down time we’re looking for. The kitchen is well equipped so we don’t have to worry about eating out. Place is great.

Porkies trip

My fiancé came up with our dog to go explore the Porkies and this place was so nice. We had a nice time on the balcony, watching old vhs movies, sitting in the sauna, and playing bumper pool. We will look at the property again for whenever we may be back!

What a wonderful cabin for our family of 6! Extra bonus being able to bring our dog with us. Loved the views from the deck, and the kitchen was nicely stocked with everything we needed. Location is great; close to numerous waterfalls, Copper Peak, and Lake Superior. Will definitely be back!

Had the sheriff called on us for riding our snowmobiles on the side of the road/bottom of ski to avoid running down the road unknowingly it was not correct. Not many signs to indicate where you can and can’t ride snowmobile. Overall wasn’t bad except the heat didn’t keep up with it being so cold out so the rental was very cold. Very little direction as to what to do for clean up and garbage but overall as stated wasn’t a bad place.

Well equipped kitchen, plenty of beds and lots of shared space to occupy. The location couldn't be better if you're looking to ski. It was only a 3 minute drive to the parking lot which made coming back for lunch a breeze. There was great wifi where all of our guests could be connected. Would visit again!

Winter fun

Great trip up north and really enjoyed having Celtic house to call home while we were away. Powderhorn didn’t have a lot of runs open but we enjoyed skiing there anyway. Very convenient. The house has a big common area which was great for evening board games. 7 total and we had plenty of room. Loved the sauna too!!!

We felt very at home in Celtic Cabin. It felt like a tree house! The bathrooms could use a little updating, but for passing through and its location it was a nice spot to stay.

Slice of nature

Stayed with my sister, her husband, and their dog in July. We came up to hike the waterfalls and Celtic Haus was a wonderful respite. Lots of windows for cross breeze, AC upstairs. TV, VCR, DVD upstairs with spectrum live and on demand. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. We did have a small bump in the road with the dog getting sprayed by a skunk. That’s just what happens sometimes in nature. Thankfully, the house had a hose outside.

We were looking to visit the Upper Peninsula for a summer vacation with our dogs, and chose Celtic Haus as a location halfway between day trips out to the Apostle Islands and Porcupine Mountains (as well as other outdoor opportunities closer). Celtic Haus was great; we really appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, the recently updated deck with views of the forest canopy, and quiet neighborhood. We were a small group (two people, two larger dogs); Celtic Haus felt especially spacious relative to a much smaller cabin we'd recently rented on the Door Peninsula. Highly recommended.

Better than expected

Great view of Powderhorn Mt. Lovely, cozy, simple cabin. Well-stocked kitchen -- had everything we needed for meals at "home". Plenty of beds & space for 2 families. We had a great ski weekend, 2 minutes from lodge.

Great place to relax and reconnect with friends. Since it was the peak of fall colors we took several hundred pictures and got some good exercise!

Spacious Retreat

We had a wonderful time at the Celtic Haus! Our extended family of 8 had plenty of room to spread out in this comfortable house. The location was perfect for exploring nearby waterfalls and Lake Superior. It is also not too far from Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park. The house has a secluded forest feel yet is close to grocery stores as well.

Our stay was great...accommodations were great for 3 couples. We wished the deck was shoveled so we could've used the grill....and wood pile was buried and was difficult to get wood
