My Happy Place is sure to be your happy place too. Nestled among towering pines, this 3-bedroom home feels blissfully private and removed from the everyday, yet itā€™s only minutes from the galleries, shops, and restaurants of downtown Ruidoso. From its large wraparound deck, you can relish the mountain breezes, the singing of hummingbirds, and even the sight of deer, wild turkeys, and elk. Inside you can relax with friends and family among plush furnishings and all sorts of modern luxuries.
The open-plan living, dining, kitchen area, is roomy enough to accommodate the whole gang and then some. The leather sofas and recliners invite you to kick back and watch a movie on the flat-screen TV with cable, surf the web via the free WiFi, or indulge in an afternoon nap. In winter the stone-surround fireplace is sure to be a favorite gathering spot, whether youā€™re enjoying aprĆØs-ski drinks or sprawling on the rugs to play Candyland with the kids.
During the warm-weather months, youā€™ll probably prefer to unwind outdoors. My Happy Placeā€™s deck offers numerous sitting areas where you can sip your morning coffee while watching the sunrise or treat yourself to a late-night snack beneath the mosaic of stars. Just off the deck is perhaps the most luxurious relaxation spot of all: the hot tub. Especially after a day of hiking, mountain biking, or fishing, a soak among its massaging jets of water will feel like heaven.
Alongside the hot tub is a table for dining alfresco, and another dining area is right on the deck, next to the gas grill. When the weather isnā€™t conducive to grilling or eating outdoors, youā€™ll find that My Happy Placeā€™s kitchen and indoor dining area more than fits the bill. Equipped with appliances, cookware, tableware, and plenty of counter space, the kitchen has just about everything you need to prepare and enjoy multi-course mealsā€”all you have to supply is food and an appetite! Nice place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay during spring break. We were close to shopping, skiing, fishing and winter park tubing. Hot tub was great. Furniture was comfortable. Well furnished kitchen.

Great location!

This home is very conveniently located! Only a few minutes to groceries and to shopping or eating downtown. Itā€™s also an easy drive to the casino. The house is cute and quiet and the king bed is super comfortable! Thereā€™s also a nice hot tub nestled among the pines. Very relaxing!

Beautiful little get away just off the strip

Enjoyed a beautiful stay in a comfortable little retreat, place was really clean and easy access to everything around town. The only downfall was not being able to use the Hot tub as much as we wanted since itā€™s always away from the house and below 1 level. We did however use the one indoors which was great.

Wonderful Ruidoso Stay!!

The property overall was great!! loved the gas fireplace and how comfortable the setting of the home was. A hop, skip , and a jump from Midtown was so convenient!! Had a grocery store right around the corner. The jacuzzi tub and hot tub made it nice to wind down a long day after being at the casinos. Ceiling fans may need to be greased and tightened up but that is just because I like to have them on high. Great stay!! will stay here again in the near future!!

Well Located and Positive Experience

This location has great deck space and seating areas to the exterior of the location that make it great for early mornings and late evenings. You are almost guaranteed to see dear during your stay. The interior has been well maintained and it simply has a comfortable overall feeling. You truly feel in the mountains with the surrounding pines and overall look. The location is also very solid and central to all things Ruidoso being just a short drive away from the Sudderth and Mechem intersection. Give this one a look.

Our Happy Place

We enjoyed our time there. But a few items need to be addressed. The hall bathroom floor was covered in long dark hair I am sure neither bathroom was cleaned very well before we arrived. There were not any hot pads in the kitchen. And the outside front deck is very dangerous. I am surprised it would pass an insurance inspection. We had plenty of towels and the cabin was very nicely decorated. We met some of the neighbors and they were very nice. We would definitely rent again.

Quick trip to Ruidoso

We enjoyed our stay at My Happy Place. The house was nice and clean. Itā€™s located close to town which makes it nice. The only issue we had was with the TV and Internet. The directions they leave do not work. I did call and someone was going to come the next morning since it was late. I ended up getting it to work but then the Internet went out and we never got it back working. So the TV would not work without the internet. Other than that I would recommend this rental. We had a great time.

Wasnā€™t the happiest experience

The property overall was ok. The jacuzzi took about 3 hours to heat up. I called the corresponding maintenance man to check the unit, but never received a call back. The internet was down when we got there. I reset the router and still did not work. I finally unplugged the power supply and it fired up after about an hour. Deer were roaming around the property and the kids did get to feed them apples. Thatā€™s about all ā€œMy happy placeā€ had going for it.

Family Vacation

The house is beautiful. It is not near as secluded as the pictures appear to be. It is in a mountain neighborhood with neighbors on all sides. My only complaints are about the cleanliness of the house. It is all white carpet. Which with three kids, it is not ideal for the dining room table, or the bar to be on white carpet. The bathroom has carpetā€” having carpet around a toilet is not very clean to me. Their were cobwebs all around the ceilings of the house. Many of dishes in the cabinets were not clean so I washed everything by hand before we used anything. The dishwasher was not releasing the pods which I assume was the problem with the dirty dishes. Their was also trash under the trash bag in the kitchen trash. I did call the company and they offered to send out housekeeping to fix all the cleaning, I declined because we were already there and this should have all been done before we arrived. Overall the physical house was great. The bedrooms, bathrooms, and cabinets had all been cleaned well. The bedding was all nice, there were plenty of towels, and the master tub and hot tub were fantastic. It had plenty of room for our family. I would recommend this house, just be prepared that some of the house keeping may be lacking. You canā€™t go to your house until after four pm so the company will not give you your keys before then, but you have to sign papers at the office before five. They have after hours pickup, but you still have to go sign the papers. Check in is a hassle.

Good stay and comfy house, could be a bit cleaner

Check-in process was easy picking up our packet at the Condotel office, very easy explanations. Asked about early check-in and was told to call when we got into town, but the cleaning crew hadnā€™t finished yet so it wasnā€™t ready until 4pm, which was fine. We realize it was spring break and housekeeping was busy, but house couldā€™ve been a bit cleaner. Found head hair and soap trash among ā€œcleanā€ towels, soap bar from previous guest still in shower, pubic hair on the bathtub edge, and trash next to the trash can. The guest shower also has sliding doors that wonā€™t stay on track so they rattle. If you have a child needing to nap during the day, these rooms have blinds that do not make the rooms very dark and they stay bright until the sun goes down. We didnā€™t use the hot tub but it looked cozy, although we recommend bringing slippers/sandals or something because around the hot tub is just rocks/pine cones/dirt and you have to walk back upstairs after use. Kitchen was well-stocked with utensils. Heating worked very well and house was overall very comfy. Would stay again but maybe when our 2-year-old is older because there are several breakable decorations that we had to move right away. House is easy to find and in a great location close to town.
