Less than a half-mile away, visit Edgartown, where you'll find art galleries, museums, shops, and local restaurants. Just a little over a mile from this rental, check out Lighthouse Beach and the Edgartown Harbor Light for a day of fun on the sand and nautical sightseeing. Or take the Chappy Ferry across the bay to Chappaquiddick Island for more beaches and daytime adventures.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Our stay was great, the location can’t be beat and the check in and check out was super easy on the app. I wish the outdoor shower was operable and that they provided more than one towel per person bc without a washer dryer I felt like we could have used a few more towels. Otherwise excellent, highly recommend and would rent again without hesitation.

Perfect location great lot! Home needs repairs!

This small cottage could be so much more but needs interior and exterior repairs and newer furnishings! Would stay here again but would love to see it repaired and updated! Location is ideal to Edgartown! Beautiful street and great walk to town!

Good Location

Home is in walking distance to downtown Edgartown. Place was very cute. We booked through Expedia and was not aware of the attached in-law suite. Not really an issue but would have liked to know that in the listing detail information. It was on the Vacasa website but not any of the other multiple listing websites. Wifi did not work. They did offer to send someone out but we could not make it work. Beds were comfortable. Outdoor shower was great (remember possibility of sharing with other unit). AC worked really well. Would probably stay again.

Dirty, wet towels, garbage, NO internet

arrived at 4 - wet towels in bathroom, bed sheets obviously slept in, garbage in trashcan, nails on sink, hair in shower, missing screens, some window locks broken. Says internet, after spending hour on with manager trying reboots, password etc, they finally said oh unit has no internet. we paid for clean place, not clean when we arrived. overall good location, but kind of dirty even after cleaned.

good location, bad plumbing, terrible customer service

This property is managed by Vacasa who is based in South America. So if you have any problems like we did, you're out of luck. The one toilet backed up (and the other unit adjacent has same issue, same time), and we had to spend half a day chasing down Vacasa to get a plumber to come. We also asked for another set of sheets which we needed and they gave us lip service for two days, never delivered. Lots of deferred maintenance issues like one broken AC, one broken ceiling fan, ripped screens, rusted patio furniture. Otherwise, fabulous location.

check-in at 4:00- house not cleaned yet No internet connection -had to call VACASA TV missing cables- had to call VACASA No rubbish pick up for 10 days- had to call VACASA was never notified that there was an in-law that would have people moving in and out every 2 days at all hours Was charged 499.00 more than the total I was quoted Instrutions in house ask you to throw in a load of towels before leaving and the basement door was locked with a sign on it saying " do not use laundry- dangerous"

Keep looking, you can probably find better

While the location in Edgartown was nice and a quick walk to the main part of town, the cost was not worth it. There were ants/bugs in kitchen and bathroom. The mattresses and pillows are very uncomfortable, as was the main seating area. Advertised as having AC, but it didn’t. The wifi was not great. There was not enough toilet paper for the length of stay/number of people. There were rips on the window screens making it hard to leave windows open. There was no soap in the bathroom and barely enough things in the kitchen to make it functional for 4 people. 2/3 bathroom lights were burned out. We asked them to bring a few things at the start of our trip (lightbulbs and soap) but never received them.

Perfect location

Property is clean, well kept and in an ideal location. 3 miles (5 min drive tops) to South Beach. Less than 10 minute walk to town. Stop and shop right around the corner (5 min). Nice outdoor patio, lawn chairs, and corner yard. Check in process is easy and seamless. Had no issues or need to contact property manager. Laundry onsite would have been nice, especially if staying for a week; and some extra trash bags/toiler paper would have been a nice touch. Parking space was key and great to have. Second year in a row I've been able to rent this property and would do it again next year.

Exactly as described. Traveled with Spouse and 1 year old baby. Most things/decor in the home were out of a curious baby's reach (which i appreciated!) Property was great, close to town and perfect for a little getaway!

We came back and were impressed with the updates

We stayed here last year and loved it. We came back this year and were delighted at all the improvements. To name a few some new furniture including a couch, armchair, comfortable queen bed, ceiling fans with lights, They replaced the railings outside and added some outdoor furniture. The bathroom sink was replaced and they painted a few things. The place looks very clean and bright. Last year there was a charcoal grill. Although it is not in the amenities there was no grill this year. This would really be appreciated. Gas or Charcoal either would be fine. We love watching DVDs at night and knew there was not one available on site. We brought our own DVDs and Player. All in all it was a lovely place to stay. Hope to come back soon.

Edgartown cottage

location was good, there are two rental units so there were some weird interactions with renters from the other unit, there was a noise that appeared to be bats in the chimney? we ended up having to place towels around the fireplace screen to fill air gaps to ensure no bats came into the unit

Edgartown in October is Great

Cozy corner is a perfect location. It's a short walk into town. Edgartown is a beautiful town. The home owners really take pride in their homes and properties. This property is well equipped. You share the outdoor porch, bbq and outdoor shower with Little Cozy Corner. Little Cozy corner is a smaller place than this one - with it's own kitchen and bathroom. The two dwellings are 12 feet apart separated by a covered screen in porch. Each has complete privacy from each other. It would be ideal to rent both properties. This one for the family and Little Cozy Corner for the Grand Parents or another couple in your group. I suggest that you bring your own DVD player and movies if you are into that like we are. They do have cable and WiFi that works fine. We had no issues with the computer hookup. They don't say it in the description but the heat works fine if you need it. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to enjoy MVY in October.

Martha’s Vineyard

Location of house is perfect... beautiful walk to town.. house wasn’t the cleanest upon arrival... bathroom door had dirt marks by handle... heat registers were very dusty... kitchen needs some basics like a decent frying pan, cutting board, and glasses for wine/ drinks. Overall, enjoyed our stay... wonderful to visit the area

Perfect Location

Perfect house for a girlfriend getaway in the offseason. The cute cottage was walking distance to Edgartown and the parking spot provided allowed us to bring a car on and explore the island. It is a little dated but excellent for the price and they had plenty of bath towels for our party.

All in all it worked for our family of 4.

Great location. The lack of washer and dryer is especially challenging when visiting for a week, especially when we each were only provided one towel for the week. All of our past rentals have included a grill, unfortunately cooking in the kitchen set of the smoke alarms (hope we didn’t disturb adjoining apartment). Bathroom and kitchen are a bit tired, could use an upgrade or at least a coat of paint. With all that said, all in all it worked for our family of 4.

Martha's Vineyard Getaway

We were very pleased with our stay at the Charming Island Cottage! It was exactly what we expected from the photos and description - the perfect size to comfortably fit four adults. We were even pleasantly surprised to find patio furniture and a grill in the back! These were not indicated in the listing and therefore we were not expecting them. The location of this home is what makes it so fantastic. It is an extremely short walk to all of the shops and restaurants of Edgartown. In order to get to the beach from this home, you do need a bike or car. One thing worth mentioning that we didn't realize until we got to this property is that the "in-law suite" mentioned in the listing is not just neighboring, it is actually attached to this home. The two properties actually share the same patio, so be prepared to share the patio space with strangers. We did not have any issues sharing this space with the people staying in the attached suite, but I think it is worth mentioning that the patio is separated from the main bedroom in the in-law suite by french doors. If I had to make any suggestions to the owner of this listing it would be to be clearer about the proximity of the two properties, and also to leave some instructions about internet, taking out garbage, what to do with bed linens/towels at the end of the stay, etc. Overall, this listing was very great and enabled us to have the best possible time in Martha's Vineyard! The home is very quaint and everything we wanted in a vacation getaway.
