This cabin sits on the shores of Lake Five, where you can swim, fish, and boat to your heart's content. You'll be less than five miles from the west entrance of Glacier National Park and the Glacier View Golf Club. Hikers and mountain bikers will find no better place to explore, as the surrounding area is littered with trails to choose from.

Property was beautiful. Location was very nice. This stay would have been perfect except the propane tank that supplied the heat and gas stove was empty for the duration of our stay. In addition the electric dryer would not heat. The property managers did provide space heaters but the expectation when renting a home is that everything works

Beautiful remote feel right on the lake. As we sat out on the porch in the evening, it was peaceful and quiet. There is an occasional train that runs by, but it didn't bother us at all.

This home has the potential to be a fantastic retreat — great layout, secluded yet conveniently close to Columbia Falls and Glacier’s park entrance. The setting is peaceful, and while trains are frequent, they fade into the background. The lack of AC wasn’t an issue with windows open.Unfortunately, the positives stopped there. Upon arrival, we were hit with a strong, foul odor throughout the home — it smelled like rotting garbage, though we couldn’t find the source. Odor absorbers were placed all over, suggesting it’s a known issue. We had to keep windows open and fans running just to tolerate it.The washer, a front-loader, reeked and clearly hadn’t been cleaned. We specifically chose this home for the laundry access, only to find the dryer broken. Maintenance couldn’t fix it, so we ended up wasting vacation time at a laundromat.Floors in the living room and master bedroom were stained. Maintenance offered to clean them, but that should’ve been handled before our arrival. The master bath sink didn’t drain, the dishwasher wasn’t anchored, and we found broken glass and beer cans on and around the deck.Though noted in listing. The WiFi was completely unusable — we couldn’t load basic pages. That became a real inconvenience when we needed directions or to purchase park passes. We had to leave the house for a signal.While the Vacasa team was responsive, many of these issues should’ve been addressed between guests. If a friend asked, I’d recommend staying elsewhere.

High hopes but the details fell very short - I would not recommend

This home has the perfect makings for an awesome retreat. Great layout. Great location, close to the park entrance and Columbia Falls but secluded so you are not around crowds. The home has everything you need. Most of the items described in the listing were not a big deal. You could hear the trains that were frequent, but you quickly tuned them out. The lack of air conditioning was not a big deal when you opened the windows. Unfortunately that is where the positives end. Upon arriving, the home had a horrible smell. At first we thought it was rotting garbage, but we were unable to locate the source. We had to leave the windows and use a fan to move air out of the house to make it tolerable. If you shut the house up at all, the house quickly filled with the stench. It must have been a known issue because there were odor absorber air sponges placed throughout the home. In addition to that smell, the washing machine was a front loader that had a pungent odor. It needed to be deep cleaned and did not appear to have been cleaned in a while. We chose this home in part because of the washer and dryer so we could pack light. Unfortunately the dryer was not working and when contacting maintenance they were unable to fix it. This meant we had to go to the laundromat. That was an unexpected waste of time on vacation. There were stains covering the living room and master bedroom floors. The crew did offer to have the maintenance person bring by a carpet cleaner but I declined as I did not want to wait for the carpet to dry. I also felt that should have been taken care of in between guests. The sink in the master bath did not drain. I would think the cleaning team would have noticed this when they were cleaning the home in between guests but yet it was not fixed. The dish washer is not anchored down so it moves when you tried to load it. There were broken beer bottle pieces on the deck and beer cans off the deck. Again, lack of attention to details when cleaning the home. The listing mentions that the wifi is not fast, we were unable to get any pages to load at all. At first this was not a concern, we can be disconnected until you realize how much you use your phone for access to information. Trying to purchase vehicle passes the night before, trying to find a restaurant or additional activities for the next day were not an option when you were in the home. We had to go down the road to get better service. We managed but it was incredibly inconvenient. Again, the listing states there is not signal, but it is something to keep in mind. Some of these are minor complaints but when you add them all together it impacted our trip in a negative way. The Vacasa team was responsive, but I feel some of these details should have been addressed in between guests. If you were my friend and asking for a recommendation, I would tell you stay someplace else.

The location and the deck were the best things about the cabin. Great lake views! Quick access to Glacier National Park. Some maintenance items need to be tended to such as a broken dryer, slow draining sinks, and a loose dishwasher to further help the overall experience. We would return if we visit the area in the future!

Beautiful family cabin on the lake

We absolutely loved this property. Perfect for our family. Good fans in every bedroom. Very clean, beautiful private surroundings, right on the lake. User friendly kitchen. We enjoyed having fire back patio and roasting marshmallows. We were never awakened by the train, not a problem. The host Vacasa very responsive by text. We would return in a heartbeat!

West Glacier Home

Great location. Only 5-10 min from the West entrance of the park. Unfortunately, the dryer did not work as advertised on VRBO as an amenity. Was a big inconvenience as we planned to pack lightly and wash and re use clothing. The carpet was dirty, the beds were very uncomfortable, the house smelled terrible (a mixture of natural gas and musty mildew like odor), and the shower and bathroom sinks did not drain well. Just felt really dirty to us sadly. No WiFi or cell service heads up. Beautiful lake and great location, property manager was very responsive and tried to be helpful, but would not stay here again.

Nice Cabin on the Lake

Very nice clean cabin! Had a great stay overall. As many mention, the trains across the lake run all day and night every half hour or so, bring good ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. Great fireplace and atmosphere, private and somewhat secluded, just a few minutes to GNP West entrance. 15 minutes to White Raven winery.

Amazing GNP cabin

My husband and I enjoyed our honeymoon stay at this beautiful cabin. Pictures don’t do it justice. Located on Lake Five and 5 minutes to West Glacier National Park. Enjoyed beautiful sunsets and sunrises right at the cabin. The kitchen was well appointed. Temps had cooled off and there was plenty of firewood for the fireplace and chimney on the deck. This wasn’t a problem for us but there is a train that runs across from the small lake…all day and all night. So if you’re sensitive to noise, you may want to find other accommodations. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us and we can’t wait to come back.

Comfortable canine great location

Roomy cabin with advertised amenities. Cool weather for our visit so the fireplace and available firewood was much appreciated. Local wildlife visits each morning and very convenient to Glacier.
