Our home is located across the river from Glacier National Park and the Glacier View Golf Course in West Glacier. Plan your day hiking, river rafting, fishing or golfing all just a throw stone away. Enjoy your days in the park and return to the privacy of your own private quiet retreat. Enjoy your perfect West Glacier getaway!

Perfect location on a quiet private street. We enjoyed this so much. Comfortable furniture! Beautiful flathead lake in front of the cabin and we loved Glacier. Being so close was a huge bonus and we will be back !

The location was perfect for a Glacier trip. The house was very clean and very well stocked. Being right in the river was fun. I wish we had chairs to sit by the water but we didn’t have room in the car.The pizza at Glacier National Pizza, I think that’s the name, was fantastic.

Perfect base for exploring Glacier NP

Three-day family trip to explore Glacier NP, and this was the perfect base to do it from! Wonderful, well-appointed and cozy cabin just minutes from the west entrance, this was the perfect stay for our adventure. My only regret is not booking it for more nights.

Beautiful house with a wonderful view!

We loved staying at Heart Rock River Retreat. The location was perfect in so many ways. Close to Glacier NP and close to nature. Everything we needed was provided at the house.

River Retreat

This house is clean, comfortable and well appointed. It’s in a terrific location close to West Glacier but away from the crowds and noise. The house sits approximately 100 feet from the middle fork of the Flathead River. We enjoyed sitting on the spacious back porch and watching the occasional rafter float by. The working fireplace was an added treat. Check-in and check-out were hassle free.

Ideal location

Beautiful location right next to Glaciers East entrance. No tv but when you take a trip to be in nature, who needs a tv.

Comfortable with your own river

How charming this place was. They even had lots of spices and some oils for cooking. We loved our stay at this river side home. Looking for rocks to skip was one of the highlights for me. I actually think the home is better in person than in the listing pics. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Thanks for having us.

Don’t buy bear spray!!!

We bought bear spray as we pulled into West Glacier ($50) and the saw the cabin was stocked. A must have for hiking but the ones left behind by other renters (not supplied by owner), including our, should work! We enjoyed our time at the property!!!

Our owners do in fact provide this amenity for our guests and the ones provided are from our owners. We are sorry you missed this information in our listing and amenity section we provide for our guests. Thank you for adding yours to the collection. We are sure future guests will feel very appreciative to have extra bear sprays to use on the trails.

Love this property

Amazing location! So close to everything yet tucked away to be quiet. The location ON the river is great. My family enjoyed evenings just walking along the river shore. We also enjoyed riding the provided bikes along the road, which was safe since it towards the end of a dead end road and no traffic. The house was great! Super organized!! Not only did it have everything you need, it was organized and easy to find!! Clean too. My only advice would be to bring a sleep mask if you’re sensitive to light while you sleep. The bed in the loft can get late night and early morning sunlight.

Amazing - the photos don’t do it justice!

My wife and I stayed with our two kids (2.5 and 16m) for a week and had a blast. Perfect location to get into the park for our daily adventures and close enough to get back home for nap although the kids were normally too excited to sleep. The house is extremely comfortable for relaxing. The access to the river was perfect for playing with the kids and sneaking some nap time water access. The pictures don’t do this house justice. It’s cozy and comfortable with many great features (master balcony and beautiful wrap around deck). We have so many fond memories with our kids from this trip, but also would’ve booked it for a romantic couples getaway.

Great Glacier Get-A-Way

My family of 4 (2 teen boys) recently stayed at Heart Rock River Retreat. We loved everything about it. Cabin is as advertised. There was plenty of space for everyone with the upstairs loft having a bed for 2 & an en-suite bathroom and the downstairs bedroom having a bunk bed (bottom bunk queen size) & another full bathroom just right outside the door. This would be a great place for families larger than mine as 3 children could easily use the bunk beds and another could sleep on the couch. There's also a lot of floor space in the upper loft. When not in the park, my husband loved using the upstairs desk which faced the large window over looking riverside and I loved sitting outside on the deck, listening to the water roll by. The river runs just behind the cabin! The cabin could not be more conveniently located to Glacier's West entrance! It's probably a 5min drive to the park entrance, yet the cabin's tucked away in a quiet little neighborhood. The cabin was clean & the owner is organized with labels on each light switch & under the countertop & a binder of info. I didn't cook during our stay but I could see the kitchen was well stocked. We had plenty of towels (really good, large ones, at that), tp, paper towels, trash bags, etc. I bring all that stuff with us, but I could see, the host had everything stocked for what a visitor may need - including bear spray. The host did a great job of communicating before and during our stay. I definitely recommend this place.

Riverfront / Golf Course Cabin in West Glacier

We had a quick 5 night stay at Heart River Rock Retreat and enjoyed every minute of it. Close enough to ride bikes/ jog to West Glacier Village or to GNP. Fly fished right behind cabin, great views from deck. Had campfire in riverside firepit w/ lots of seating around it. Played golf at Glacier View course across the street- rented clubs, beautiful course, and very friendly pro shop! Bear activity right across the river one evening ( that land is actually GNP)! The only reason for 4 stars is the cabin is in need of a little “TLC” ( updating) and desperately needs new cookware. Other than that, it suited our needs for a short stay!

Rustic Homebase!

This property is perfect for those of us who came to hike Glacier! It is right outside the gates to Glacier National Park. Christie the property manager made sure everything was just right! What more can you ask for? It sits on the river and has a fire pit right next to the river… it is well finished and has everything you could ask for including bear spray! As well as a washer and dryer for those after hike clothes.
