Peaceful, Breezy, Pet Friendly Getaway!

Tucked away in historic Old Harbor, Summer Breeze offers the vacationer privacy and tranquility, easy access to beaches, restaurants, shopping and Block Island night life. Located about one mile from town, this contemporary style home boasts an inverted layout maximizing magnificent island views from the upper level kitchen, living and dining areas. The upper level spills out on to an expansive deck, extending the living areas of the house. There are two bedrooms and two full baths located on the lower level.

Enjoy panoramic views of Block Island from the interior through floor to ceiling french doors or by lounging on the upper or lower level wrap around decks. The double decks provide the option of glorious sunlight from the top and cool shade from the bottom after a day at the beach.

Prepare home cooked meals in the fully equipped kitchen and dine in the dining area which accommodates seating for ten. Additional seating for six is available on the upper deck. Patio couch and cocktail table are also provided on the upper deck.

The master bedroom has a queen sized bed, private full bath, and separate walk out to a small porch and back yard. The second bedroom has 4 twin beds with hallway access to an adjacent full bathroom. The den located on the upper level contains a full size futon. A room divider screens the den from the adjacent living areas.

Amenities include washer/dryer, cable TV, internet, outdoor hot/cold shower, exterior security cameras, and charcoal grill. Contactless entry upon arrival. Travelers supply their own bed linens, bath and beach towels or travelers may rent, at travelerā€™s expense, by contacting www.blockislandlinenrental.com. Up to two pets are welcomed at a pet fee of $150/pet.

Available during the high season for a full week minimum, during the off season for a 2 night minimum and/or monthly during the wintertime.

We were in Block Island for a family wedding. My family of five stayed at this property. House was just as described and more. It was a clean and comfortable stay and we couldn't have been happier. Location was also convenient to all the family events of the weekend. Host was so helpful and answered all questions so quickly. The family had a great weekend and talked about returning in the future. Great stay.

Great location

This was our third year staying at this lovely, well-cared for, peaceful and comfortable home - we love it! Itā€™s a bit off the beaten path yet convenient to all of the beaches, hiking trails and restaurants. The fact that are dogs are welcome here too makes it a win win! Thank you, Kristine!

Breezy getaway

Lovely pet friendly home. There were 5 of us plus our dog. House is open and cheery with splendid outdoor deck space for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen pretty well appointed. 2 bathrooms but we use the outdoor shower for bathing which was great. Location close to town to walk, but can be sketchy at night as there is no shoulder . Quiet and peaceful setting . Best of all was the ability to bring our dog!!

Lovely Block Island Stay

My family enjoyed our time at this home. It had everything we needed, and the host was responsive to any of our questions during the booking process. We brought our own car, which was a benefit as it allowed us to explore Block Islandā€”the lighthouses, beaches, trails, restaurants, and shopsā€”leisurely during our stay. If bringing a car, book the traditional ferry (that carries cars) early, so you're guaranteed a space when you want to travel. (We had to change our arrival date because there were no openings on the ferry on the date we wanted to arrive.) Also, we'd suggest you bring bottled water as our understanding was this home had a well without a filter.

Wonderful Experience!

Our Memorial Day trip to BI was wonderful! The home was wonderful and had everything we could ask for. The location was good, and only a quick walk into downtown. The view from the upper deck was beautiful. A home we hope to come to again next year!

Great house!

We loved our stay in this house on Block Island. It was perfect for our group of 6 (I do think more than that might be cramped). It's a great house, tons of light and great hang-out space upstairs with cozy bedrooms downstairs. We were asked to bring our own towels and sheets a few days before our stay, which came as a surprise so something to be aware of, but we made it work and enjoyed our stay!

Great home base and place to stay

We enjoyed the property very much and it's proximity to New Shoreham and New Harbor worked out perfectly for our sailing trip. Being tucked away off the main road made it quiet when we needed it too. Thanks for a great stay.

Guys weekend

Nice, quiet, tucked away property, an easy bike ride to town. Great for charcoal grilling with a nature view and hanging out on the porch. Good kitchen and living space for making some memories.

Jack and Kristine are native Rhode Islanders who have been visiting Block Island for the past 20 years. We have three sons in whom we have instilled our love for the island. For us, Block Island is a quick ferry ride to an escape from our hectic everyday lives. We treasure our time on the island and look forward to each return trip.
As a testament to our love of the island, we purchased Summer Breeze in 2016. We chose Summer Breeze for its versatile location offering peaceful scenery with easy access to activity in town. We love the layout of the house and the way the living areas spill out onto the deck. We are excited to share our home and island experience with you.
One trip to the island will not do this magical place justice--even after twenty years, we are still discovering new corners of the island to enjoy and experience! So, rent with us, and please return!
