Dalton Ranch Home on the 12th Fairway - Water and Mountain Views

Our single level 2,000 square foot 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home features A/C in the Master Bedroom and Main Living Space, washer/dryer, 2 car garage and fantastic outdoor living space over looking the 12th fairway with a gas grill. A significant remodel was completed in Winter 2023. It is located on the 12th fairway in the Dalton Ranch Country Club in the beautiful Animas Valley just 10 minutes north of downtown Durango and 20 minutes south of Purgatory Ski Resort.

The centerpiece of Dalton Ranch is its challenging 7,040-yard championship semi-private golf course. Built along the Animas River, Dalton Ranch incorporates numerous wetlands and lakes.

Trimble Hot Springs with a full spa is less than a mile and the home is within immediate access to recreational opportunities- tennis, golf, hiking, biking, swimming, downhill and cross country skiing, fly fishing, fishing, kayaking, canoeing (the list is endless really).

This home is pet friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs max and the pet fee is $40/day (for a max $250 per stay).

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

MIXED STAY: Maintenence Issue (poor sleep) / Great Location

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A disturbing mechanical noise in the master bedroom's bathroom made it difficult to get a peaceful night's sleep on our 3 night stay. Someone from property management came to the property, heard the noise we had described, but unfortunately the issue could not be resolved because a maintenance person was not available (maybe sleep with the TV on, they suggested, but we had already tried that and the noise was still louder than the tv volume we could sleep with) and we were not offered any compensation for our inconvenience.Also, a pair of earplugs and a small bottle of a liquid prescription medication was found by our dog under one of the beds and caused vomiting and illness for her. This was our first time taking a pet on vacation and we learned (and recommend that others) check under the furniture of rental properties before allowing your pet in the home....you never know what has been left behind.Otherwise, the home was lovely, nice decor, and has beautiful views. If we can be certain that the mechanical noise has been resolved, we would consider staying here.Review of property management is also mixed. Some individuals we had contact with showed kindness and concern while others gave curt unhelpful replies.We don't recommend the property as is, but if maintenance corrects the issue, we will recommend.

Perfect Place

The location was excellent! The being on the golf course was so peaceful with a water flowing pond and ducks swimming by and unobstructed view of the mountains. House was very space with nice sized bedrooms very functional kitchen. We hated to leave!!

A lovely property in a gorgeous location. Our only challenge was the fireplace. Even with directions, we couldn't get it to lught. Other than that, a perfect stay.

The home is large and spacious. Loved the location. Lots of wildlife would come and eat the apples that had fallen on the ground. Lots of big windows so we had an excellent view outback. The exterior needs a little TLC. Front and back. Tv was interesting as well. All in all very nice stay.

Gorgeous view in a lovely, quiet neighborhood

My family of four (plus grandma and grampa one night) stayed for a week at this property. It is located in a quiet neighborhood on the 12th fairway of Dalton Ranch. View from the back porch is beautiful and serene. I enjoyed having my morning coffee there, and one morning a young doe was a guest. It is ideally situated between Purgatory/Haviland Lake and the town of Durango. Tons to do and see in the area. We enjoyed our stay!

Spectacular Mountain and Golf Course Views

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights and wished it was longer! The most tranquil setting with views that truly looked like a painting. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio with a glass of wine taking in all the beauty. Durango is a short 15 minute drive when we wanted to venture out. There is a gourmet market, wine shop, hot springs spa, and Dalton Ranch Country Club (meals and cocktails) just a couple of minutes from the house. We will definitely stay here again!

Nice place & location, but pest & cleanliness issues

Cutlery and dishware were dirty, house had pests in the attic (probably raccoons).

Great Location - Peaceful Stay

Fantastic location

The property was beautiful, the location was amazing. Short trip to Durango, maybe 20 minutes at worst, an hour from Silverton. Beautiful stream off the back yard, 360 degree mountain range views. My only issue with the house was it wasnt as clean as I expected it to be. There was also some moths, spiders and two tics found inside. Thay being said, i would 100% stay here again.

Beautiful but dirty

This could have been a perfect house. Nicely decorated with western style. A perfect spot on the 12th fairway of a golf course with a small stream and a view of the mountains. Unfortunately the house was very dirty. The shower had hair from previous visitors, furniture was dusty as were all baseboards, and we had to wash the dishes before we could use them. Such a shame! No wine opener!
