Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

No AC, no response from management

No AC/heat on arrival. Called 24 hour hot line 4-times, mailbox was full each time. Downstairs bathroom floor has mold due to past toilet leak. Parking spaces are very small, compact cars only. Cosmetic repairs needed in all spaces in the unit. The unit was very hard to find, no directions given in checkin package.

Issues remain…

First we love the area and this condo could be set up to work well. We appreciate the opportunity to stay in the area. The issues others have stated clearly have not been addressed. From past reviews the same issues were called out, the comments thank the reviewer for pointing it out the issues stating they were addressed. THEY WERE NOT. SAFETY: the sliding door does not work. It does not lock. It is a safety hazard. The laminate floor is pulling up everywhere and is a trip/foot cutting hazard. Same in the downstairs half bath. The light fixtures are rusty need the bugs cleaned out and need replaced. Baseboards are loose and dirty. Carpet on the stairs is gross. Main bedroom is hot while guest is freezing. This place “could” be very enjoyable if these issues were actually addressed. Fixing the issues wouldn’t cost a fortune and I think you would have MANY happy vacationers.

Nice Spot

This condo is a nice spot to stay. Family has a condo in the same location, which is why we stayed. A few things need replacing or refreshed, but overall very nice location and condo for our stay. Plenty of amenities provided and new appliances were nice.

Beach getaway

Enjoyed the sense of community. Only.a block.away from the beach , food, and shopping. Really enjoyed the whole experience!

Left much to desire

This house is tired and in need of better upkeep. The main floor flooring appears to have flooded and hasn’t been repaired - do not walk in socks. The screen door was almost inoperable, heavy and stuck in its track, and the outside screen broken. I’ve stayed in many units over the years in Ocean Breeze, and this was the most disappointing of all.

Family Stay

The place is absolutely stunning. Easy access and you could walk to everything. The beds were comfortable and it had everything we needed for our stay. I had 2 kids and they loved the place. 10/10 would recommend. We will be back.

Be aware of stairs

The location is perfect. The size is perfect. The steep stairs to the bedrooms was an issue. The pictures do not show how many or even show that it has stairs. I was unaware. We're not a young group of folks so we left belongings downstairs. The sliding glass door needs to be repaired. It took both hands to open. Kept getting stuck. The coffee pot was missing. The coffee maker was rusty. Found a 2 cup coffee maker but it too had rust on heating element for pot. So there's the good.. The bad...and the ugly. I would stay again if the door was fixed and coffee pot replaced. As I said location and size were awesome. Also do not follow Google it gets you lost. Take South First beach. To lemoyne if coming from Coligny turn right. Second curve left (Tree Top and Ocean Breeze) first right straight back. Parking is kinda weird try angling car. Over all I got it figured out now and will come back.

Nice location

The house is in a nice location. The place could use some TLC, and attention to the cleanliness, we experienced ants and a roach. We attributed the insects to the nearby trees. Laundry onsite was great. Easy access to restaurants and the beach. Morning walks on the walk path we’re great.

Good stay

First time in Hilton Head so we’re not sure what to expect. The unit was dated. Needs to be refreshed. The beach access is exactly a half mile from porch to sand, we rented a cart with our bikes so it was NBD. I walked it several times. Bring a beach umbrella or buy one, chairs for the beach are provided but there was no umbrella as stated. The frying pan looked like someone cooked eggs in it and ran it through the dishwasher. Housekeeping oversight. The pool closest to the unit is cloudy so it was a no go for me. I don’t think we will stay at this complex again but the island is gorgeous and there was nothing majorly wrong with the unit.

OK Value

Not much has been updated in this property since it was built (maybe 30 years?) other than the appliances and counter top. Stains on the ceiling and walls. It could use a good cleaning top to bottom, new paint, carpet, etc. On the other hand, it was priced accordingly. It was very well equipped. Just about everything that you can imagine was included except an oven mitt. The cleaning service left a generous number of clean towels, etc. The AC in the bedroom with two beds is extremely noisy, while the other bedroom has little air flow. Overall, it was a fair value..

Decent stay

Home was clean and nice. Pull out sofa bed mattress needs replaced as you could feel every spring and bar. Biggest concern was the parking lot as it was too tight to fit our full size truck into the spaces both width and depth. Posting needs updated to reflect the issues with parking as we had to find alternative parking elsewhere. Short walk to the beach. Pools on site are clean. Unit is a short bike ride or drive to restaurants and Coligny.

The island is wonderful. The unit we stayed in was very dated and needed a refresh pretty badly. The pool was murky so we didn’t get in that. It’s close to the beach of you rent a bike and a cart otherwise it’s exactly .5 mile from porch to sand walk. The community was very quiet. Parking for the unit is a bit tight.

Not good

Every time my grandson would role over I'm bed the headboard would make a sound and wake him up qe finally took it off. WiFi was awfull poop in the yard from dogs

Painting

The property was being painted outside. We could not see out the windows-covered by plastic and twice we could not get in the front door without a wait because it was covered while painting going on. The flooring did not seem clean and the carpet on the stairs needed cleaning. I’m sure it had to do with pets allowed. When we arrived at the property we could not tell which property was ours for sure- unit numbers covered for painting. It seems the owner is in the process of renovating- probably should finish before renting. The location was excellent- close to pools, beach and Coligny Circle. We have stayed at Ocean Breeze before and like the location.

Problems with this rental

We have stayed in Ocean Breeze before, a unit just across the parking area in fact. The unit is nicely sized with 2 good sized bedrooms and a well laid out kitchen/living area. Very convenient to the beach and Coligny Square. However, we had problems that Vacasa was nice to address with us. Our unit was slated for construction activity during the week we had it reserved for "wood rot replacement." Vacasa was able to move us to a different rental within a day of finding this out--good work you guys!! Ocean Breeze 23 needs some freshening (in addition to the replacement of rotted wood) however. One of the toilets did not work, window blinds in the dining area and master suite, both of which look out on the parking area, were missing slats and afforded incomplete privacy. I hope those will be repaired or replaced before this unit is again on the market. The carpeted stairs badly need shampooing, too. With those caveats, though, I'd recommend this unit to someone traveling, as we did, with a small dog.

Not totally as described, but okay.

The pet-friendly property location is great. Close enough to the beach and all the action. The pool was nice and within steps from the condo. The AC in the unit was more than adequate and easy to adjust. The kitchen was best room with noticeable upgrades, plenty of equipment, and nice large fridge (no automatic ice maker-2 ice trays available). Provided soaps and upstairs washer/dryer were pluses! The pet part isn’t as user friendly…there are not very many areas for potty time and no pet waste disposal areas. Not the end of the world, but for walking your dog, there aren’t many sidewalks on the property and the complex is tight…full of vehicles. Parking is ok for small vehicles, but if you have a big truck I would avoid it. Parking spots are awkward and not evenly spaced. The condo main surfaces were clean and the laminate floors were nice. It could definitely use a deep cleaning of ceiling fans, vents and bathrooms. Fans were caked in dust and 1 shower curtain had mildew. Broken blinds in a couple rooms. The pictures shown do not accurately depict the dated fixtures and furniture. Bed in primary bedroom very uncomfortable. Living room furniture worn and uncomfortable. Tv was small in living room (not a deal breaker, but not great if stuck in condo due to monsoons). There was only 1 patio chair on the deck. Vacasa was very responsive to a couple issues that arose during our stay and that was appreciated. Overall it was fine for our last minute vaca plan, but probably wouldn’t stay there again in the future.

Already rescheduled

First time booking through Vacasa. Start to finish everything was easy to navigate. Our condo had some new updates and some that could of been updated, but all in all I would rent the same one again. We will continue to use them in the future

Quiet poolside

Great family & dog beach escape

The unit was within walking distance of the beach and had all laminate floors, which was ideal for keeping everything clean with kids and a dog. The kitchen was great for cooking at home. We could walk the dog on the beach and surrounding bike paths. The beach is a 10 minute walk and there are two different public access points across the main street. Probably we used the beach less then if we had been beachfront, but it was fine for us. Dogs are allowed on the beach before 10am and after 5pm. The pool in the complex was shaded by trees and a nice escape from the summer heat. We used it most afternoons and then took the dog to the beach after 5pm. Overall a very relaxing stay for a family. Many other families were staying in the complex, also traveling with dogs, and we would meet them while walking the dog.

The cleanliness of the unit was spot on. The linens were stacked neatly on the beds and the kitchen and living area were very nice.
