Amazing time at Pyramid Pointe! The views can’t be beat, great views of the beach and the canals. We saw dolphins 4 out of 5 days swimming right by the dock.. plenty of crabs and fish as well. Took the kayak out to the private beach and was the only person there. Surrounded by millions of sea shells and so many sea turtle nesting sites. The only thing you won’t see is a neighbor once you enter your private escape! 100 percent recommend and already planning to return!

We love this place. This was our second visit. It is so secluded and peaceful. You hardly see anyone. The wraparound view of the marsh and the ocean just a bit away is absolutely amazing!While there, we paddled in the strand, crabbed, and walked a mile to the beach to look for shells (there are millions!). There are a few nearby attractions, like Botany Bay and a very cool driftwood beach. We also took a day trip to Charleston.The house itself is like an old summer camp lodge, nothing fancy and needs some work, but met all our needs. Owner very responsive. It was so relaxing to watch the wildlife, listen to the surf, and be immersed in nature. We will be back!

Incredible view with dolphins coming up past the dock, glorious light and abundant wildlife. absolutely peaceful and a wonderful place to paddle from and walk. Unfortunately, longer beach walks can be difficult at higher tides due to a seawall.

Wonderful relaxing low country escape

Fantastic adult treehouse with tons of character and endless tidal creek views. Perfect getaway and a great place to spend with family.

The house is in disrepair and was very dirty when we arrived. To the point that we packed back up and drove back home. When the owner was contacted he told us it had been professionally cleaned the day before and would not allow a refund.

She tried to cancel two days before her arrival. I told her fine with me. VRBO did not allow it so she faked a "cleanliness" issue to get a refund.

Our new favorite getaway

Property was exactly as described. Spectacular views all around. Kids loved kayaking and crabbing. We plan on making this trip a couple times a year. Everyone loved their stay.

No better views than this!

The location of this house is fantastic. You simply cannot find better views anywhere. The owner does a great job of explaining everything about the house and covering every possible question in advance so there are no surprises. We will definitely be back!

Amazing views and seclusion

Nature at its best! Although the house is “very rustic”, the views are worth the stay! We encountered porpoises in the creek, eagle, horseshoe crab, raccoon, and spotted an eagle. Dreamy sleeping on forth level and waking up to a gorgeous sunrise. Hated to leave!

My family had a wonderful stay at Pyramid point - It was just the kind of place we wanted, although it wouldn’t suit everyone. Read the owner’s description of the property before booking it. It describes the place well and you can decide If it’s what you are looking for.

Beautiful Location

Pyramid Point is at a FANTASTIC location!! The views are beautiful and the fishing and crabbing are great! You can tell the house has been enjoyed by many throughout the years. If you’re looking for an immaculate, luxurious home, look elsewhere. But, if you aren’t worried about cleanliness and just want a place to sleep while you spend your time in the beautiful outdoors this is your spot!

Third time staying here and it won’t be the last. This is not your pastel pristine beach house. This is a well loved home to relax in after a day spent shelling, biking, boating and just enjoying the beauty of Edisto. Wake up early to watch the sunrise. Incredible!

BREATHE, WONDER & DREAM...

A unique & comfortable place to stay, private location (within a safe & well-kept neighborhood) and all the space to breathe, think, wonder and dream... with nature right beside you! Kayak straight from the dock, take an easy walk to the beach, or enjoy a breezy porch swing where you can "Just Be." Randall's descriptions are spot on and his communication is quick. Nature lover's getaway

The owner did a fine job of painting an accurate picture of what we could expect. If you like more of an authentic/rustic accommodation with privacy, quiet, and beautiful views, then this is the spot! We counted 48 species of birds within walking distance of the house, but many of them were seen just sitting on the large porch. Paddling the tidal river from the house was terrific and the beach was deserted except for the turtle patrols, which was pretty neat. We all had a great visit and would definitely go back!

Most Beautiful Marsh Views in Edisto!

Property is located on the marsh creek with kayak access to the beach. Beautiful views! Property is rustic, but accurately advertised by owner, but there are a few hazards to be aware of, soft spots in the decks and wobbly porch railings, so don't turn the toddlers loose but kids that are used to some wilderness should have a blast. This isn't luxury, think fish camp. Plenty of kayaks and gear, but bring your own fishing rod if you plan to fish. There are crab traps though. Lots of wildlife, kayaked with the dolphins, and gorgeous rainbow views over the marsh.

Great Spot

We loved our stay at Pyramid Point. The kitchen is stocked with everything we needed. The location is amazing, with views unparalleled. Sunrises are an absolute must see from the back porch. If you are looking for a location where you can immerse yourself in nature, and forget about your worries, Hands down - this place fits the bill. The owner is spot on in his description of the property, so take your time to thoroughly read the listing. In our 20+ years of vacationing in South Carolina, this has been our favorite spot, so far. Thanks Randall.

A Grown-Up Treehouse in Paradise

We loved our time at Pyramid Pointe so much! The house itself is so interesting -with surprising twists and turns. We loved the bricks used for the entry from the old Edingsville settlement. The views of the ocean and the marsh are nothing short of majestic. We gave ourselves over to the tides and watched the sunrises and moonrises, dolphins swimming by, bald eagles perching in the trees by the house. We found gorgeous shells and sandollars and slept to the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach. Our hearts are restored and we cannot wait to return!!

Beautiful Location!

Amazing place to stay if you like to kayak, crab and fish! The sunrises/sunsets were amazing and we saw the dolphins in the creek. Highly recommend kayaking over to the beach, there are so many seashells and my mom found an enormous shark tooth! We even kayaked the long route to the inlet. It is a bit long of a walk to the beach if you have trouble with your legs or are out of shape. Place could definitely use a deep clean coming from we who aren't too picky. This is more like a fisherman's cabin than a beach house, I have friends who would NOT stay here, listing description is accurate! The location is amazing and we all agreed that we would love to come back. Host was very responsive!
