Quiet, tranquil location

Great property if you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful place. This was our second year here. The private road is on a beautiful pond. Neighborhood is extremely quiet and relaxing. Pool is wonderful! Main Street is close by to some cute shops, restaurants and ice cream. Multiple beaches 15-25 minutes away. Linda was easy to contact and get a hold with minor questions. A great addition would be having kayaks or paddle boards available. Packing for a weeks vacation for a family- leaves no room to bring our kayaks or paddle boards.

Wonderful Stay

House was a little further from things than we would have liked but it was super clean and well equipped. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly. Would stay here again

Great, quiet getaway!

The area has so much to offer! After a hike to the beach or a day out exploring, it was such a beautiful, quiet home to return to and relax by the pool or play cornhole with the family. Courteous property manager and an all-around great stay!

Great House!

The house is excellent! Secluded, but still close enough to everything you need, grocery stores, beaches, restaurants, etc! The boys loved the backyard and pool! The host, Linda, was om top of everything and very quick to get back to us with restaurant recommendations, etc! Would absolutely stay again!

Loved the pool!!

We had a good stay here, the pool was an awesome asset especially because the weather wasn’t great for the beach. The drive to the beach was quick and easy, and communication with the owner was fast and easy. It was very warm the day we arrived and it took a while for the two air conditioning units to cool the place down, but once cooled it stayed cool for the rest of the trip.

Perfect family getaway

We had a great time at the property. It was peaceful and quiet for us to relax and spend time together. The kids spent countless hours in the pool and the location was great in terms of being close to the lake and the ocean. Between fishing, paddleboarding and taking my 6 year old surfing for the first time it was a great trip. The house was clean and comfortable.

My family of two adults were very happy with this property. It was very clean, entirely updated, and the owner is very kind & responsive if you have any questions. Beds were comfie and plenty of pillows. We appreciated it being a one-level ranch (no stairs). The AC’s worked very well and there were also plenty of small fans if needed. The neighborhood is very friendly and very quiet. The pool was in excellent condition, had a lot of privacy thanks to fencing, and its water temp was perfect to cool you down but not leave you shivering. We appreciated the loungers as well as the other outdoor furniture. There were pool floats we enjoyed. Being able to park our car in the garage was also appreciated. The street is loop shaped, about a half mile around and level so it’s great for walking. Only a few minutes drive to any stores or restaurants. Closest restaurant “Rathskeller” is only a few short minutes away and it has very good food. Try to get there early though as it is highly popular.

Lovely

Clean, Comfortable, fully remodeled inside. Very quiet area, but reasonable drive to area attractions. Linda was accommodating and easy to communicate with. Pool was a hit with the kids! Hope to return!

Amazing getaway

Stayed with our family. My son loved the pool. Great to get up and go outside and play in pool. House was clean and perfect for our needs. The beds were in small side and creaky for us. We loved the access to the beach. Very easy to get to town to dinners or beach. The host had great recommendations and very communicative.

Perfect family getaway

I’m a single mom and stayed with my 4 children plus my sons girlfriend. Everybody wanted something different and this home covered all the basis! Lake, pool, and beach! The home was very clean, more stocked with essentials than other homes I’ve stayed in. Absolutely perfect!

Awesome retreat

This was the second year we stayed at Linda's home and hopefully not the last. The house is well layed out for our multigenerational family and was bright and airy. The house is off the beaten path but close enough to head to Newport, Providence or the local beaches. A nice surprise was the comfortable beds in all the rooms added to a relaxing vacation. The pool was a added treat to spend the afternoon floating around in the sun. None of us wanted the week to end for we all had a great time and now to look forward to next year.

Almost there

Overall we had a good time great location Beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the lake , Pool was very nice and relaxing Beds seemed new but only 1 out of 3 measures as a queen others as a full and the queen was way to soft first time in 40 years of marriage my wife and I had to sleep in different rooms (good or bad ?) so for 2 married couples staying at house not the best sleeping situation Cleaning staff needs to look in those spots where an OCD person would gravitate towards looking

Very Nice home

Linda is an excellent communicator and was very responsive. The house is nicely renovated and tastefully decorated and was clean. The pool was in good shape water was crystal clear. The neighborhood was quiet which I was very happy about. I know Linda asks for suggestions. She did put in bedside tables which previous people had requested. I would like to see more places to put things like small dressers for the bedrooms. The outer door to the garage could use a little TLC so that one is able to prop it open When bringing stuff into the house and the tension is loosened on the door. Overall very nice rental.

Wonderful vacation home.

The house was absolutely wonderful, so clean and bright as well as the pool which we used everyday, multiple times😁plenty of room to gather, eat and relax. Would have liked a small dresser or something to put our clothes in aside of the closet👍Also a small light in the bedrooms would have been useful. I probably should have asked but I had the impression that we could walk across the street to the lake but that was not the case. There is access to the lake in a few spots but u have to drive there. Don’t think that would have been a deal breaker but we fish and have paddle boards so it was a bit disappointing that we ended up having to pack and go instead of walking across the street. That being said, you can’t have everything but this placed checked off a lot of boxes - and I’m very picky. Would highly recommend renting here.

Lovely & quiet, but lacking some comforts...

We; my husband, myself and our 15 year old daughter stayed here from 6/29 thru 7/6. I'm also writing this review with 7 previous rentals under my belt. We had a lovely stay, the home is lovely, modern and in a quiet area. Close enough to the beaches if you want to go, but the pool area in the backyard was so inviting we just hung there everyday. It would have been nice however if the lounge chairs were taken out of their packaging and set up for us. The gas grill was brand new, we had to finish assembling it and it was very small. The rental was clean, except for the sinks in the bathrooms had dirt in them and the floor had grit on it. I loved the kitchen, it was laid out great for entertaining or gathering with family and/or friends. I was excited for the kitchen because I love to cook and bake, so I was disappointed to find it was lacking things like a can opener, measuring cups/spoons, a colander, baking pans, cutting board ( I purchased some and left for future guests), basic spices or oil, etc. The web description stated that there were 3 queen size beds, but there was only one queen and two full, and they weren't very comfortable.The bedrooms and living room could have used lamps. The air conditioning was great, but the 2 bedrooms that didn't have the a/c units in them were hot and I had to purchase a fan, once I did that, temperature was comfortable for sleeping. Overall, it was a very nice rental, just lacking in a few areas worth mentioning, and if rectified will make for future fantastic stays, which is my main reason for writing this review.

2nd time was even better than the 1st.

This was our second year in a row staying at this property. There is something magical about it, at least to our family there is. We had a beautiful relaxing week. Spent the mornings waking up at 430 am to watch the sunrise over the lake, falling back to sleep for a bit, spending the day by the pool or a quick trip to the beach in the late afternoon till evening, and then coming back to the house to BBQ. After going into town to get some of the best ice cream ever, we would sit in the back yard and watch the stars. Linda is quick to respond to any texts or calls. Any complaints we have are small in the grand scheme of things. For a house that sleeps six, we wised the table outside was bigger than a 4 seater. There was also not enough paper products and cleaning products for a week, which we thought the cleaning crew that comes after a family leaves would have left enough supplies for a week long house stay. This included items such as paper towel, toilet paper, trash bags and sponges for the week. The sponge that was already at the kitchen sink had already been used. There was however plenty of laundry detergent (which is so nice that is supplied), dish soap for the sink and dishwasher, disinfecting sprays etc. I did speak to Linda about it, and she did offer to bring us what we needed, but we had to do a market run as it was, so I told her not to worry about it. The disappointment was that last year the house was stocked with these products so it just took us by surprise. I just wish we knew before hand so we could have prepared. We will absolutely be back next year for our summer trip. Take advantage or this little gem of a house and do yourself a favor and book right away.

Excellent, relaxed family vacation

We had a wonderful time for our week's stay at Linda's property. Everything was exceptionally clean, basics were stocked, and Linda was very attentive and responsive to any small issue that arose. We loved having the well-maintained pool all to ourselves. We will definitely stay again!

Relaxing Stay

House was in a remote area across from a large pond, which made it nice, as it was quiet and relaxing. Great sunrises and sunsets over the pond! We loved the pool and not too far was a very nice beach and kid-friendly activities (Adventureland) in Narragansett! If you're looking for lobster rolls and seafood go to Aunt Carrie's in Point Judith, close to Narragansett, RI (same exit).
