Driftwood Retreat-Brand New 4 Bedroom Pool Home

In beautiful Vilano Beach Fl. New home built April 2019. Family neighborhood on dead end street. Beach entrance 50 ft to dune walkover. A 4 bedroom home has 2 masters downstairs, and 2 bedrooms upstairs with a play loft in between. Nearby restaurants, fishing, boating. Fenced back yard. We can heat the pool for $50 per day. bbq, and lounge chairs surrounding pool. Outdoor showers located near pool, beach toys , chairs.

All new furniture bedding..top quality

Family friendly and walkable. No sidewalks but our kids scooter and bike around all the time.

No parking on grass(sprinklers and septic) or on street (county ordinance). Contact us if you need an extra spot for a visitor as we live right down the street.

Heated pool is by request and guests are responsible for cost via cash or check. Rate is $50 a day. Heat runs daily between 9 and 6

Across the street we have a two bedroom, pool home that is also available for rent.
There are only 4 parking spots allotted to the home. Street parking is NOT ALLOWED.

Quiet time for neighborhood is 10pm. Anything outside after 10 must be kept to a whisper.

Great place near the beach!

This house was great! The neighborhood was nice and it was a short walk to the beach. Everything was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable, even the twins! We would definitely rent this again.

We just got back from a 5-night stay at Driftwood Retreat with our two sons (7 & 4) and it was exceptional! The pictures are accurate and the home is beautiful. Property: Everything is in great shape. Furniture was nice, the beds were extremely comfortable, kitchen equipment is good shape, etc. Having a strong working ice machine with the fridge was a huge plus. The pool was obviously a favorite for our kids. They swam every day, morning and after the beach. Optional heating, but not needed in mid-June. Having the back adorned with actual driftwood was a nice touch living up to the name.Location: Very short walk to the beach. 2-3 minutes. There is a fun little trail from the end of the street to the public beach access. Wide enough to lug a beach cart through it every day. There is even a hidden aloe plant on it that became useful after one particularly sunny day. The only downside is having to cross the street to get to the beach. Usually, we were able to cross immediately, and we never had to wait more than a minute. However, if you have little ones, just be extra careful. Location was perfect for restaurants and downtown St Augustine. Aunt Kate's and Cap's are a 2-minute drive. And plenty of fun only 10-15 min away in downtown. Communication: Grayson was extremely responsive. The house was available a few hours early and she let us know. She also messaged back quickly when contacted.All in all, amazing stay and highly recommend it! Thanks Matt and Grayson!

Better than the pictures...and those were good!

This property had everything to make our vacation enjoyable. Well stocked with beach and pool toys along with anything we could think of to make our stay comfortable. Property was clean and located a very short walk away from the ocean. Also near some great restaurants and only a 15 minute drive away from St. Augustine. Highly recommend.

Great vacation house!!!

We had such a wonderful time in Vilano. Our house was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the beach, which was only a 2 minute walk. Sunrises were absolutely beautiful. We loved coming back from the beach and unwinding in the pool. We will definitely be back. Thank you Grayson and Matt for making everything special.

Best family vacation ever!

This is our family’s second time vacationing here. This stay was even better since we knew the “lay of the land.” The accommodations were perfect for six adults and two children. We love the pool and easy beach access. Our hosts could not be anymore gracious. They were open to a few special requests that helped our out of town family’s airport needs smoother. We hope to rebook sometime in the future.

Wonderful Place for Family Vacation

Our family couldn’t gather for the holidays this year, so we decided to do a winter family vacation to Florida instead. This property with the amazing hosts was a spectacular choice! Great property

Everything was as described. The house was very clean. The neighborhood was quiet. The patio area was a great space to gather and relax with friends. There is a short cut to beach near the house but you have to walk over a hill which may be hard for someone with bad knees.

Amazing Home

We stayed at this house for a family wedding nearby and the home exceeded our expectations. The location is great, the beach was amazing, the house and bedrooms were spacious and so comfy! The house was well equipped for kids of all ages. I loved the baby gates even though we didn't need them. I also noticed they had tons of toys and supplies for very little kids. Wish we had stayed here when my boys were younger. Will definitely try to get back here again for another stay when it's a bit warmer.

My expectations were set pretty high after reading the other reviews about the home, and they were right! The home was supplied with everything we needed for the weekend! Loved having the baby gates at the stairs and the gate to enter the pool. Definitely gave us a peace of mind with our 1 1/2 year old! The pool area was wonderful and was nice to have the pool heated! All of the beds were very comfortable. We loved the short walk to the beach every morning to enjoy the sunrise! Overall, I can not say enough great things about our stay! My only advice for future renters is to bring cases of water bottles as the refrigerator does not have a water dispenser :) Thank you so much Grayson and Matt! You have a beautiful home!

There are multiple pros with this property and only a couple of cons. Pros: The house is a very short and easy walk to the beach. The beach is in a perfect location with very few people on the beach even on the weekends. The pool at the house while small was very enjoyable. For our family of 4 it worked, but would be too small for more people in it at one time. It was a very quick drive into St. Augustine. Cons: The house could use some updates. It would be nice to have a keurig and not just a coffee pot. The master bathroom toilet lid and seat are worn. There is a broken towel rack that has not been fixed in the other bathroom. Many of the bathrooms only have sliding doors which does not offer enough privacy. For one week this rental was well over 5,000 which is priced higher than nicer homes in the same area. The outside furniture is rusted and needs updated. It advertised having a beach umbrella and chairs which it does, but they are very worn and rusted. I will say if you have small children there are many items of benefit at the house. Multiple pack and plays, a high chair, kids toys, extra lockable fencing around the pool and much more. It seemed like they cater more to families with young kids versus adults. Overall we have paid less money for much nicer rentals at various beaches.

Beautifully maintained rental home!! Very well-appointed with plenty of space (great layout). We enjoyed a wonderful visit to St Augustine for Thanksgiving... the home has everything you need. Beds are very comfortable and plenty of additional linens/blankets provided. Everything was very clean and as pictured. No need to worry about beach chairs, floats, etc. all provided. If you are traveling with young kids ~ great find!! safety gates for stairs/pool, toys, blocks, books, beach items... they have thought of it all. Highly recommend!!! Nearby we enjoyed: Guana Timucuan Trail and Research Center, Aunt Kate's restaurant, George St. Have fun exploring!

Awesome hosts

Okay, well, we didn't get to stay here because of hurricane Nicole, so I don't really know about the location, check-in process, and neighborhood - but these hosts are fantastic! Grayson was perfectly communicative all the way along, and I hope we get the good fortune to stay here one day! A little kindness goes a long way, and Grayson and her husband were loaded with kindness for our awful situation!

College Girl's Trip #24

We had a great adventure in St. Augustine and on the beach for our annual college girl's trip. This home was perfect! Our 1st with a pool. We love to spoil ourselves during these trips and this place did not disappoint! The location to everything we wanted and needed was within 15 minutes! The only downside was that we should have rented it for a longer period of time, ha! Shout out to the owners! THANK YOU!! IT WAS MAGICAL!!

Great house in Vilano Beach

The house still feels new and is very nicely finished. The backyard and small pool were great for relaxing. Very short walk to beach, just realize the dunes are steep to get to beach area. Only 5-6 minutes to Publix and other stores. Away from crowded St. Augustine and beaches further south allow for quiet but great proximity.
