Charming Sandy Point Home

All the luxuries you would want in a vacation rental. Primary bedroom (window AC) with en suite bathroom with shower. Cheerfully decorated and open floor plan with formal dining room. Family room with wood burning fireplace insert, TV, land line, internet, games and books (window AC). There is a 2nd downstairs bedroom with queen Murphy bed. The 2nd downstairs full bath has a Japanese soaking tub and full size stackable washer and dryer. Cooks kitchen with island and stainless appliances (window AC). Front porch has table for eating and trundle bed for lounging. Upstairs has a loft with two trundle beds (sleeps 4 & window AC) and bedroom (window AC) with queen bed with Jack and Jill bathroom. Barn w/room to hold your kayaks and bicycles should you bring. Woodshed has charcoal grill, beach chairs, umbrella for picnic table or beach, horseshoes, and badminton set.

House is located one mile to the public beach. It is 20 minutes from Belfast and 45 minutes below Acadia National Park. Closest shopping for big chain stores is in Bucksport. Fabulous walking right in Stockton Springs.

The house used to be the old post office and is loaded with charm and wonderful updates.

Maine vacay

We had a great time! It was perfectly located to everything we wanted to do. Acadia, Belfast and sandy point beach. Everyone had space! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook at home! The outside porch was really fun!

Wonderful home !

Great stay - convenient to many coastal sights. Good grocery store about 8 minutes away. Comfortable beds and furniture. Well stocked kitchen and home. Lots of books, games and puzzles. Property was beautiful with many flowers in bloom. We enjoyed the screened in shelter by the pond. Owner responded quickly to questions and was very helpful. Highly recommend !

Family wedding in Blue Hill, Maine

This was a lovely eclectic home. The photos donā€™t do it justice. It was comfortable, warm and inviting and had everything we needed plus lots of movies, games, stuff for the kids. Best stocked kitchen Iā€™ve ever seen in a rental. Location was central to Belfast/Camden area to the ā€œsouthā€ as well as a short 30 minute drive to Blue Hill and on to Acadia if youā€™d like. Cute little sandy beach just down the road.Owners responded quickly and check in/out was seamless.Highly recommend!

Great Maine Coast Homebase

This property was perfect for exploring the Maine coast from Camden up to Acadia National Park. It was extremely charming, clean, spacious, and a beautiful piece of land! Also, Sandy Point Beach is just a five minute drive away. I will definitely recommend this to friends!

First Maine Trip

Cottage was perfect for a family of 6 adults. Plenty of room for sleeping and eating dinners together. It was nice to have three bathrooms also. The cottage is in a very quiet peaceful location. There are many things to do close by and not too far from Bar Harbor. We enjoyed our stay!

Best VRBO ever

It was the best Vrbo we have ever stayed in. The layout was good for us as the sleeping room were not all on top of each other. The host gave wonderful info about local things to see, where shopping was located, and distances to places. The amenities were great and we didn't need anything that wasn't provided. We enjoyed the week and had a wonderful time. The beach was great for kids.

Perfect location and beautiful home

We came to Maine to experience the life along Maineā€™s coast- we picked this VRBO because of price, location, and the beauty of the home - the owner responded to our textā€™s quickly - we had no big issues with the property- and the handbook and emailā€™s explained everything we needed to know. Was a wonderful trip- we went to Bucksport, Belfast, Camden and Acadia National Park.

Perfect for a large family

This is a beautiful, well maintained house with an updated an FULLY stocked kitchen and plenty of room for our group of 8 people. The hosts were also incredible thoughtful and welcoming. The house is full of toys, games, and items you might need, like bug spray.

Sandy Point House

Lovely, "off the beaten path" property with pond and separate screened in porch. Kitchen was well appointed with dishes, silverware, etc. Window a/c units worked well and were a blessing as it was in the 90's the first few days of our stay. I wouldn't recommend the upstairs bedroom with the two beds for adults. Beds are small and very "squeaky" and there are not adequate nightstands or furniture to store clothes and other items. Downstairs main suite is very nice! We were out and about during the day but enjoyed our evenings at the house! Kate was very responsive to emails prior to our visit and one time during our stay.

Cute house. The decor was eclectic and beautiful. Such a fun house to stay in. Plenty of space to spread out and have lots of beds. Beautiful property and lots of wild flowers. Very relaxing. Kate was quick to respond the one time we needed her.

Wedding weekend

We had a family wedding at The French's Point which was like 3 minutes by car from this rental. The house was perfect for my family. I love the outside. Also we had a problem with one of the bathrooms and the owner was able to take care of it within an hour. Highly recommend this rental

Fantastic home and host!

The home and property are just lovely - I wish we had enough time to fully utilize it all! We visited for a wedding at Frenchā€™s Point and it happened in the midst of a storm which knocked out power in the entire area for half a day. The host was so helpful and supportive in making sure we were well informed and in case we needed anything. If we are ever back in this beautiful area, we would definitely stay here again! Thank you!!

Nice Place

There were seven of us and there was plenty of room. The bathrooms are nice, the kitchen is up to date, and the house has a lot of character. The wood floors, the exposed beams, the fireplace, all contribute to the house's character. The abundance of fans and many screened windows helped to manage the temperature. A dehumidifier in the master bath would be helpful. We liked the location, close enough to area attractions but far enough away that it wasn't crowded. Overall a great place to stay.

Scattered, then congregated for a Maine week.

We all loved the house and yards! The photographer found much to be photographed. The chefs concocted some delicious food in the large kitchen! The large bathtub was a hit for one (I think she used it daily). I love rural or country life, so having a bit of a drive any where is perfect especially when the country side is unspoiled, has such beautiful plants, gardens and flowers , and the homes are colorful. We all agreed we had a wonderful week of family time and the house was perfect! One issue was resolved in a timely fashion and we didnā€™t miss a beat!
