Swan Lake Lakehouse with Bunkhouse and Private Sand Beach

Beautiful lakefront home only steps from your own private sandy beach that faces west, providing some of the most stunning sunsets you'll find!! Home has cathedral ceilings in the living room/dinning room area with exposed timber. Well maintained and fully equipped lakeside house with a distinct "Camp" feel. Glassed in sun room with direct deck access that looks straight at the lake, simply beautiful views anytime of the day or night. Loft above the sun room makes for a unique sleeping experience for kids or a couple. There is a separate bunk house beside the main house with its own bedroom and bathroom, included in the rental. The beach is private and secluded from the neighbors with a canoe and twin kayak use included with the rental as well, along with a dock if you bring a boat (some lifejackets provided but we recommend you bring your own to ensure proper fit). Relax and take in the views from the deck as you grill, or enjoy the fire pit on the beach with your feet in the sand. Kick back and listen to the loons call back and forth almost every night. There are several Eagles at the lake as well and they are seen frequently from the lake house. Truly a serene environment to melt away any worries of the outside world. Easily houses 2 average size families if you want to share the home with friends. Grocery store with most everything you would need is only 3 miles down the road.
House is fully stocked with everything you'll need, has 2 heat pumps with AC for those hot summer nights, and heated for cool spring or fall evenings. Only 10 miles to the coast for Seafood as fresh as it gets, or just about an hour to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Several golf courses within 30 min as well.

We are flexible as far as payments are concerned. Currently set up for 1 payment in total at time of booking, but we can separate out payments into 2 or 3 installments if needed. Please let me know when you send a booking request if you would like to separate into 2 or 3 payments, and I will make the adjustment when I send it back to you. You will not be charged until I accept and send the changes back to you.

Please note that there is NO WIFI at the lakehouse. Cell service is good if you need to hotspot, but if you are working while at the lakehouse, you are doing it all wrong!

Our family spent an incredible week at the Poolerā€™s Swan Lake cabin and couldnā€™t be happier with our stay. Itā€™s far enough away from the busy areas to be peaceful and secluded, but wasnā€™t too much of a drive to Acadia and other places in the area. We will definitely be back someday!

The Swan Lake cabin is comfortably appointed and provides a terrific view of the lake and distant hills. We enjoyed hearing the loons and seeing them each morning on the serenely calm lake. On several evenings we were even able to see the Northern Lights. Josh is a great communicator and answered all queries promptly. He also was able to provide a local (and inexpensive) source for fresh lobster, enabling several wonderful meals while enjoying the never less then spectacular sunsets. This was a great location for visits to Belfast, Castine, Acadia, Winter Harbor, and the Schoondic Peninsula. This accommodation is very highly recommended for anyone wanting a quiet escape, a convenient base for excursions, or both.

Very nice week. Very peaceful, relaxing with many things to do. I strongly recommend going to Cadillac Mountain to see the sunrise for future guests. Close proximity to Belfast and Camden, our favorite towns.

Cute and cozy lake house vacation

The lake house was charming and right on the lake! The lake was peaceful and we loved hearing the loons and seeing the sunsets over the water! Plenty of room for eight of us- my husband and I and our 4 teen boys and my in-laws stayed in the cub cabin. We loved the kayak and canoe and my father in law brought his bought- caught a few large mouth bass. We were only about an hour away from Acadia and Bar Harbor. Enjoyed relaxing on the deck and around the fire pit ( Josh thanks for the sā€™mores stuff and wine!) and played lots of games around the kitchen table. So many memories made!

Swan Lake Getaway

Our family enjoyed a wonderful week at Swan Lake, a perfect location for exploring to Acadia, the Coast, and charming Maine communities. Also went kayaking, gazed at stars, and hiked local trails. The house was perfect for us and all was in great condition. Recommend this place for your family too!

Amazing!

My husband, my mother, my 4 kids and I traveled from Florida to stay at this amazing home. The house was cute and came with everything we needed! The kids loved the canoe and kayak and playing in the lake every evening. The location is within a hour or so of Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, Maine Wildlife Refuge, etc. It was so nice to disconnect from the busy city life and spend time as a family. Lots of amazing food close by. The sunsets over the lake were my favorite part of each day. Josh was an amazing host and quick to respond to any questions that we have had. I hope to return again in the future.

Beautiful lake and cabin!!

Everything was great about this property. The cabin is spacious, with tons of room to sleep and spread out. The Cub Cabin offers a little privacy and was very cozy. The main cabin has everything you need for your stay. The lake is crystal clear and the sunset views are gorgeous. Iā€™d highly recommend staying at this property.

exactly what we needed

This was the most relaxing vacation we have ever been on. We completely disconnected from all electronics and were able to just sit and watch the water views and the loons all day long. The rustic cottage was exactly what we needed.

Just right

The Swam Lake Lakehouse fit our needs very well. Quiet, plenty of space, lots of windows to maximize the lakefront location, and the opportunity to go fishing or canoeing just a few steps out the back door. We made several trips to Acadia, an easy drive from the house. Also enjoyed the town of Belfast. Josh always communicated promptlyā€”thanks, Josh!

Hello! We are Josh and Bethany. We are originally from Maine and both grew up close to Swan Lake, and have most of our family and many friends still in the area and on the lake. We previously owned a different house on Swan Lake and lived there for almost 10 years. The lake itself and the people that live here are second to none. We moved away in 2018 due to other circumstances, but Swan Lake will always be "home" to us. We are extremely excited to own a piece of it once again. Its a beautiful property and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!!

O que faz essa propriedade ser Ćŗnica?

There are not many places on the lake that have a quiet and secluded beach such as ours. Points come out on either side of the beach to create its own private cove. The house itself being so close to the waters edge, with the glassed in front make for views and sunsets that you will never forget. Its truly pristine.
