Enjoy nature in a waterfront setting. Children of all ages welcome. Private pier to fish and crab is in the back yard. This property offers the perfect place to relax and recharge. New upgraded more reliable internet- (no more unstable satellite connections) Main bedroom has a king bed. The second bedroom has a full sized bed. The third bedroom has a twin bed. The sofas also fold out to beds. The kitchen is fully equipt with everything you need to store and cook food. Check out the game closet, or play a game on the Fosse ball table, or try your luck at the horse shoe pit, if you want to cook your catches of seafood outside choose from either our charcoal and gas grills both are on site for your use. Relax closer to the water, in a separate screen boat house, or in the swing behind it with 365 views of the water. Such a peaceful oasis all within 50 miles south of DC.

As close to paradise as you can get!

Everything went smooth as silk. Loved the place. The private dock, the horseshoe pit, the foosball table and table tennis. I felt like time went backward a few years. It brought out the kid in me! Definitely recommend for any age group. Had everything we could want and more. Will come back.

Peaceful, Relaxing, Southern Maryland Get Away

My wife wanted to stay longer and live in Southern Maryland, so that is a good indication. The cottage is brick, solidly built, well maintained, and has lots of amenities. And very clean. We enjoyed all of the artwork inside. The backyard is nice, and the dock on Charleston Creek is large enough for fishing and crabbing. We caught black drum, spot, and blue crabs right off the dock. At high tide, the water is about 8 ft deep. The outbuilding down at the dock has a really nice screen porch for dinners and morning coffee. Sunsets are beautiful. Bring good mosquito spray; you will need it. My only suggestion for improvement is some nice cushy pillows for the sofa in the living room; it looks pretty but it's a bit hard to sit on. Cell reception is one to two bars, which is adequate.

Great time

Denise was great to work with. Home was very cute. There was really only 1 1/2 bathrooms and dock could use some upkeep but this did not effect our relaxing vacation. The view was incredible and we saw lots of wildlife.

Hi Barbara, I appreciate you for letting me know about the dock. I will be sure to inspect it, and make any upgrades necessary. We are currently working on a design to upgrade the boat house. I think it would be very convenient to have a bathroom in there; but we have to follow what the area mandates... fingers crossed. Thanks again!

A fun and fabulous getaway!

My family and I absolutely loved the cottage and grounds! The scenery was so beautiful and the house was excellently decorated and stocked for all our needs! Extra bonus: the game room with foosball and table tennis for hours of fun!! The only two issues we had (which are definitely no fault of our wonderful host) were that the water did not look clean to swim in, which we had hoped for and the neighbors’ dog was constantly outside barking at us throughout our stay. However, despite those two issues, we LOVED our stay!! Thank you to our amazing host!❤️

Perfect and peaceful

My spouse and i went with our 4yr. Old and had a great time. We wanted somewhere quiet and tranquil, and this property was just that. Everything was clean and well stocked. The manager answered my questions promptly. The sunsets are AMAZING!

Quiet ,clean, cool getaway

Very clean house, great kitchen, comfortable beds, excellent air conditioning. We caught a lot of little fish and 2 crab! Deer in the front in the evening and great sunset view in back.

Relaxing getaway!

We really liked the location of the house. Next to the river and in a quiet, peaceful rural neighborhood. House is well-appointed and tastefully decorated. Would love to stay there again even longer next time!

Outstanding Week

The greatest thing about the property was the owner. It was like doing business with a good friend. The house was very clean and the location was wonderful. My wife loved it.

Birthday getaway

We had a great time fishing and crabbing on the back dock, the house was great and the property is in a beautiful location. Denise was very pleasant to deal with and made sure we had everything we needed, I would definitely recommend this property for a quiet, relaxing getaway!!

Wonderful Weekend Stay

Realizing my guests can stay anywhere, I'm honored that they return to The Cottage on Charleston Creek year after year. Yes, the property is professionally cleaned. Yes, the waterfront property has a private pier exclusively for the guests use. However, I believe the main reason people return is for the VIP treatment they receive as my guests. I communicate with my guests in advance to plan for their perfect stay.
