Great views of the ocean

Overall, this was a great stay! The view of the ocean from the balcony is wonderful. The only drawback was the highway noise; however this was not as noticeable in the evening after rush-hour and the sounds of the ocean muffle the highway noise. Good location of the condo - close to restaurants and shopping areas; check-in process was easy.

The book in the room didn’t have a pool gate code and the office wasn’t ever open the 3 times we tried to go directly there. Not a huge deal but we did want to use the pool.

Relaxing

Loved it, but beware it’s very windy so we chose to spend our days swimming at calmer wave beaches. Found two dead roaches which was a bummer but otherwise it was very clean comfy bed well-stocked kitchen and lovely view. Amazing sound of the waves at night. So great the parking was included. There were some hiccups to our stay like leaky sink and not working garage clicker but management swooped in to fix it immediately. I recommend this place for a peaceful vacay gorgeous walks on the beach clise to Ululani’s.

Ok for the price

Good location, right on the beach. You can hear and see the ocean from your balcony and living room. The checking process and communication with the host were super easy. We were disappointed about the bathroom. The shower curtain, walls, and ceiling were full of mold. For the amount of money you pay to stay in Kihei, they could have changed the curtain and cleaned up or wiped the mold.

Maui getaway at Kealia Resort 2023

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We always stay on Sugar Beach, and this was our second stay at Kealia Resort. (different units each time). Unit 306 is well appointed, with everything you will need for your stay from beach chairs, to kitchen utensils and starter supplies (laundry soap, dish soap, etc.) Unit appeared clean, and well maintained. Bed and pillows were super comfy! The bathroom is on the small side, and the shower curtain hangers could use an update, as they are old metal, and kept falling off but it was a minor inconvenience. View of the gardens and ocean were awesome from this unit. Kealia Property is well taken care of, clean and pool is very nice option when the waves are wild. This area can be windy but viewing of whales and kite surfers was awesome from the property and the unit. Communication and checkin/checkout was easy and reliable. Be sure to head over to Dina's Sandwitch, located nearby for happy hour/lunch or dinner. Great Mai Tais.Check out Maalaea Harbor for excursions and dining - Tante's Fishmarket Restaurant and Bar is really close to Kealia; has great dining at exceptionally reasonable prices with great happy hour specials - so close to 'home base.'We look forward to our next visit to Kealia and Maui. Mahalo for sharing your vacation rental with us.

Frustrating check-in could be easily fixed

Unfortunately, our first impression was not good. Our rental car agency had issues and there were lines of people waiting for cars, so our arrival at the property was later than anticipated and we were a bit cranky. Then...we could not find the parking space. Numbers are painted on the ground, faded, and numbers are posted on the wall, in no order at all; ie 307 can be next to 502. We went through the upper and lower levels twice, and it was another resident who happened into the garage who looked at the last spot, behind a motorcycle covered with a tarp, who found the number. Those numbers should be posted where they can easily be seen. The unit itself is well-equipped for an enjoyable stay and is really well-located on the side of the building.

Great Vacation

Reviewer Comments: Out condo (306) was pretty good. The size was fine for 3 of us. It was clean and well stocked. The very short walk to parking and beach was a plus for sure! The location was superb- it being the last condo at the end of Sugar beach made it so quiet and peaceful at all times of the day. The best part was the amazing view! There were a few negative to our particular condo. Each morning we found dead roaches here and there around the condo. Ewww. Also- the coverings of couch and chairs and the throw pillows were old and dirty- a recovering of these items would have given the entire condo a new look and feel.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay at Kealia Resort 306. It was beautifully decorated with all the amenities we needed for a fantastic five-night stay. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the comfortable balcony looking out at the ocean, spotting whales and watching the outrigger canoes go in and out. The highlight of our stay was walking along the lovely beach, watching the sunsets, swimming in the ocean and using the resort's lounges to relax at the lush green park next to our unit.

Beautiful view!

We stayed in June 2021 and the unit was exactly as described. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with salt, pepper, spices, coffee filters, etc. The view from the balcony was beautiful — we spent evenings watching the sunset there and on the lawn on the chairs provided. The location was very convenient for exploring every part of the island - 5 min to the Maalaea marina for scuba diving trips, 15 min from the airport, 20 min to Wailea, 20 min to Paia which starts the road to Hana. We also preferred this condo to others along the beach because it is smaller, so there were less people and it was more quiet. Would stay here again!

Wonderful family stay

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Was a very comfortable unit except for the road noise from the hiway. Liked the kitchen set up. Living room area was pleasant. Comfortable bed. Bathroom could use a bit of update in the tub/shower. Personally did not appreciate the glass bowl for bathroom sink because I am short. I was always bonking my elbows on the sides.

Ok Value for the Price, Easy Location, Lots of Hwy Noise

Rating Details: The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: At first glance from the highway, I thought we were arriving at a minimum security prison. The Kealia Resort's highway side exterior leaves much to be desired; however, the interior of our one BR rental (306) was nicely appointed and well maintained. My brother had rented 307 and it was even nicer than ours. The resort location is convenient --- right on the beach and close to necessities like a grocery store. The ocean side of the resort is so much easier to look at with a well-maintained pool and outdoor cooking area. Our unit was on the side of the building with a partial ocean view. My biggest grievance was the traffic noise from N. Kehei Road (Rte 310) almost over powered the ocean waves. The cinderblock construction actually magnifies the traffic noise on the lanai. Overall, we felt we the rental cost was fair, but we will not return to this location next time we visit Maui.

Grounds are always lovely, though smokers were allowed to move away from the designated smoking area, which was disappointing and unpleasant. Sherry in the office is always friendly and helpful.
