This modern large cabin home is tucked in the woods of the Wolf Laurel Resort Community, a gated private community with all the amenities you want for a fun getaway. The beauty of the surrounding mountains and the serenity of the area may have you hanging out at the cabin, but the city of Asheville is just 30 minutes down the road, where you can enjoy world class restaurants, quaint local shopping, and lots of music! Hatley Pointe Ski Resort due to open soon. Ski Resort being completely renovated and updated

Visit downtown Asheville, but don't miss West Asheville, Weaverville, and Mars Hill (closest town for groceries and restaurants and a University town). You will love the laid back attitude of the area, the friendly people, and the farm fresh food. Once you visit, you may not want to leave. If you love the outdoors, hiking, kayaking, festivals, and music, then these activities are available almost every weekend all year long. You are welcome to use all amenities at the within the Village Club area, and you will be provided a guest pass. Village club activities are seasonal. Village Club ammenities include access to the pool, tennis courts, yoga, exercise classes, Tai Chi, water fitness, pot luck socials and more. A list of activities will be included with your arrival information. In the summer, there is horseback riding and kids camps, and in the winter, Hatley Pointe Ski Resort slopes are right on the mountain in the community, just a mile or so away. Pets are considered with a pet fee. Be sure and check High Country Weather/Wolf Laurel for the latest updates on weather. It will snow here when it isn't snowing in Asheville, and in summer months it is much cooler in the higher mountain elevation, so check Wolf Laurel weather!

The property manager lives in the community and is available to help with your stay, basically we are available so you are not on your own in a new community. This home can sleep up to 12. We are pricing this home for 2 guests, and if your group/family is larger, there is an extra guest fee, so please be accurate on your headcount. The final rate is based on total occupancy.

Motorcycles prohibited in the community. If you plan on riding in or trailering in motorcycles, contact the property manager prior to booking. NO WEAPONS, please do not bring guns or weapons into the property.

4x4/AWD highly recommended and required in winter months.

Property allowed for us to bring our dog - which made the trip that much more enjoyable. We visited during the winter and therefore did not use the pool. I do highly recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle and/or chains for your tires to navigate the mountain during winter.

Excellent vacation home!!

We had a wonderful time at this wonderful home! So much to do inside and out! The rooms were clean and comfortable, kids and adults loved the ping pong, darts and foosball, the Village Club pool, playground and pickleball were used a lot, hiking to Big Bald Mountain was fun and close by, Bobby and Mary Lou Hicks were always available and very friendly! So quiet and peaceful sitting on the porch, reading and sipping coffee! We will stay here again!!

Family Mountain Getaway

It was extremely accommodating for our family. Room for everyone and something to keep everyone entertained and private areas to relax from the gang too. Nice local hiking areas. Asheville always has something going on. Great vacation!

Excellent cabin getaway in the mountains!

This property provided an excellent location for access to trails, nature, and day trips to Asheville and Johnson City. The property also had plenty of activities to do onsite to keep everyone entertained. Highly recommend.

Smoky Spring Break

What a wonderful getaway!!! Quiet and remote but not too far from the highway, surrounding towns and Asheville. Even if the weather doesn't cooperate, there's plenty to do at the house and within the neighborhood as well. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!!!

Weekend Getaway

Our family really enjoyed the house. Great location, private, quiet, and close to the Big Bald Hike path and Wolf Laurel Ski Resort. If you’re using the basement area in the winter, take advantage of the space heaters! The downstairs gets much colder than the upstairs but the space heaters work well; there are enough extra blankets for the really cold nights. We had a minor issue with the disposal, but the owner was prompt with a response and the property manager came out to resolve the issue within a few hours. This home was exactly what we thought it would be. Highly recommend.

The perfect mountain retreat for us!

Our stay was amazing! This was by far the best home we have rented over the years--perfect for the entire family. The kids LOVED the downstairs/game room area, while the adults stayed upstairs relaxing on the couch or deck (most of the time). Nice views, quiet location, and the home was extremely well-stocked with everything we needed for our time there, which made things super easy. We look forward to visiting again in the future!

Mostly good mountain retreat

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The house is very well stocked and has just about everything you need. We enjoyed the community amenities - access to hiking was great, and the fitness center was surprisingly well equipped. The game room setup downstairs in the house is fun and provides plenty of entertainment options. There are some lovely views in the community, and it's very quiet and peaceful. A couple of things to be aware of, based on our experience: The house itself doesn't really have a view. You'll have to explore the community to find a great spot to enjoy the mountain vistas and/or the sunrise and sunset. We enjoyed sitting at the 10th tee for sunsets. The wifi is very inconsistent. We know we're up in the mountains and we can't expect the same service as at home, but it was frustrating having to reset the modem several times a day and having trouble joining a virtual meeting or streaming TV on more than one device at a time. We were mostly on vacation but did have some work to do and it was really challenging to manage. We left having enjoyed a relaxing week up in the beautiful mountains, and would recommend Wolf Laurel to anyone looking for an escape!

The home was clean and well furnished inside. The game room was a big hit! Unfortunately, the downstairs is damp and has a musty smell. People with asthma would find this difficult. Also, the decks and outdoor furniture need to be power washed.

Week in the Mountains

This was a fully stocked cabin; the first we have encountered. The layout suited our needs perfectly and there was enough to keep us entertained while at the cabin. The only downsides were how dirty the outside cushions were for the table on the deck and the mattresses. The downstairs bed seems to be broken and it was like sleeping on a slope. Overall, we all had a great time.

Nice mountain get away

Owner was great responding to any requests or questions that we may have had. We had family coming from 3 different states and the house fit us just fine. Kitchen was very well supplied with dishware and great large pots and pans for the cooking that we all did. The deck area was a family favorite and where we fortunately (great weather)were able to spend most all of our time as well to eat about all of our meals. The downstairs area was a little damp upon arrival but quickly remedied with dehumidifier. All of the activities that were available on that level was a nice surprise and appreciated. The golf community activities were enjoyed by us all and highly recommend the golf cart tour of the spectacular course.

House was very nice. And cosy. Just like a mountain house. Layout was excellent. Upstaits was very comfortable. Roads were ok. Loved the Club in the community. Golf very hard. You needed to be mountain goat,but the views were spectacular. Don't miss a ride around of the course. The owner provided everything you needed. I mean everything Just bring food. Bobby was excellent. Negative thoughts. We liked to sit outside and enjoy the weather and covered deck. Seating outside was TERRIBLE. The porch outside the kitchen was great but the chairs were small and dirty. The table was worn out. The table and chairs by the Hot Tub wete filthy. The adrironack chairs were beyond belief. Place mates were filthy. Could have used a chair in the downstairs bedroom. A lot of light bulbs wete burnt out or not working.

Perfect Location and Wonderful Hosts

We definitely hit the jackpot with this home! We had two families with kids ranging from 6 to 15 and everyone was thrilled with the stay! The house itself is in a gorgeous location with views you could enjoy forever. There were tons of activities and games as well as everything you would need in terms of linens, kitchen needs, etc. Lots of extra blankets, pillows, towels, etc. I'd say the only thing I'd consider as a negative was that the mattresses might need upgrades but otherwise the place was fantastic. Beyond that, the Wolf Laurel community was fantastic!! The kids had so much fun playing tennis, fishing, and hiking just on the property itself. We did take some trips to go rafting and into Asheville, but we spent a lot of time hanging around Wolf Laurel. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Lastly, the owners were super responsive and helpful. All in all, it was a fantastic stay and we had lots of memories we'll take home with us!!

The king of cabins

2 moms and our 6 kids ages 2-8 stayed at Bobby’s cabin. We visit this area every summer. His property is met and exceeded our expectations. He makes other cabin owners look cheap and lazy. He had everything we needed and lovely furnishings throughout the entire cabin. We had rainy weather almost the entire stay, but the game area made up for that! We are hoping and praying we can book this cabin next year! In addition to this cabin the community offers amazing amenities with a secured, but super large, community. He set the bar to a new level for us! Thank you for being so generous is what you offer in your cabin.

Perfect Getaway

This is a beautiful property, located in a picturesque location. The place was very clean, well stocked, everything was labeled from light switches to cupboards. This made it easy to locate items. We enjoyed the pool table, the ping pong table, and the hot tub. There are a few grocery stores that deliver right to the door which was great. There are nearby towns with everything you need in terms of food, restaurant's, and accessories. We had absolutely no issues and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Our goal was to relax, unwind, and disconnect so we didn't use any of the community amenities such as the fitness center, etc. but from what we could see they looked nice and were actually in walking distance from this location. Many hiking trails are accessible as well. I would highly recommend this home. While we didn't need to contact the owners about anything during our stay, what I can say is that they provided an abundance of information that gave us everything we needed to know. Great place, great location. Thanks so much for a wonderful time.

Great Multi Family House

Between our family and my sister's family, we had 6 kids and 4 adults. This house was perfect for all of our needs and wants. So much space! The rec room was perfect for when the kids wanted their own time away from the adults. Kitchen had everything we needed plus more. We enjoyed the fireplace on cold nights/mornings. Hot tub was amazing too. Only thing missing was a propane fire pit/table on the deck (not sure those are even allowed), but otherwise perfect.

Amazing property!

Bobby was really good at reaching out to me and making sure the house fitted our needs. This property is beautiful and very well equipped! Definitely a lot of room for different activities. We enjoyed a lot the new bbq, the game room, and the hot tub. Everything was extremelly clean and organized. I definitely recommend this property!
