House is great for large groups with plenty of privacy in bedrooms. Close to the beach and Los Barriles. Location is EXCELLENT! Our group of 9 wished there was a better space for us all to gather together but we made it work. The house does not get a lot of natural light or direct sunlight. This is probably great when it’s super hot but if you’re a sun worshiper you’ll have to get out to the beach to catch rays. Owner was responsive to inquiries.

Bringing in the new year

The house was beautiful. Very comfortable and had everything necessary for an ideal get away. The private pool and spa was lovely. A short walk to the beach, we loved the geothermal outlet into the ocean. The owner Patrick was always available and quick to respond to any questions we had during our stay. We would love to return someday.

One of a kind hacienda

Our two families, eight people in all, had a great Christmas at Hacienda Hoppe. Lots of room for everyone in a beautiful home.

So grateful!

We had an amazing vacation during Easter in LB at Hacienda Hoppe! Huge bedrooms and bathrooms, very easy walk to the beach, great little pool with swim up bar, quick drive to town, BBQ grill on the rooftop deck. Patrick provided plenty of linens for our crew of 9 for 10 days. Loved the palapa roof, birds everywhere, awesome kitchen to cook our locally caught tuna and bonita! Will definitely come back! Thank you Patrick!

Nice house for large groups, nice location

We had a large family vacation including 3 young kids and chose to rent the Hoppe Hacienda in December 2017. It was a very short walk to the beach, and a short drive to the town of Los Barriles. We are so happy that we decided to stay in Los Barriles - the area is beautiful and peaceful, and the locals are very nice. One of the best parts of the home was the heated pool and jacuzzi, and the very spacious rooms and large beds. The kitchen was very well-stocked and easy to cook for large groups. We used the cook that the owner recommended and it was delicious and economical. There was plenty of everything that we needed at the home. We rented cars from one of the airport car rental places but wish that we had been able to use the person that the homeowner recommended. Unfortunately, by the time the owner told us about his contact, the person no longer had anything available. I think it was about a 45 minute drive to this home from the airport. We rented ATV's from a company in Los Barriles and had a blast driving them all the way to Punta Paradiso, where we found amazing shells and did a little snorkeling. We also had some good snorkeling when the waves were small enough right at the beach by the house (Kids and I wore wetsuit jackets because although water was OK for some w/out wetsuits, I was much more comfortable getting in and staying in the water). We took another day trip up to Cabo Pulmo and had a great time snorkeling with one of the tour companies there. Swam with sea lions, saw a few sea turtles, and tons of different fish. That was worth the day trip. The kids also enjoyed walking 10 minutes down the beach to a hotel where you could use their heated pool and jacuzzi and the swim up bar. The kids regularly ordered virgin pina coladas and fries and loved it. It's kind of a dilapidated hotel, but it was still nice for us to be able to use the facility free of charge (as long as we ordered from them). It's not very busy in December, at least when we were there. The men in our group did some local fishing I think through a guide that the homeowner recommended, (if memory serves), and brought home a feast to eat as sashimi, poke, and grilled fish. In town there are great restaurants, and plenty of groceries. Overall, this was our kind of vacation. We aren't the types that like the all inclusive hotel deals where you rarely get off the property and explore.. we would stay at hacienda hoppe again.. thank you for a wonderful vacation.

Happy New Year in Cabo!

We just returned from a week at Hacienda Hoppe. We were a party of 10 with ages from 5-75. The home is beautiful, spacious and has every amenity you would expect. The breeze blows through the house and is very comfortable. The pool and hot tub in the courtyard were a big hit with everyone and a popular spot for us to just hang out. The guest house is roomy and comfortable, and perfect for teenagers to have some space. All the bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and the beds and linens are super comfortable! The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need! We had plenty of dishes, serving pieces and pots and pans to prepare meals. Patrick arranged for Jazmin to come cook a few meals for us and they were delicious! It would have been nice if there was a large table for all of us to sit and eat. The table in the kitchen only seats 4, but we gathered around the island in the kitchen and it worked out fine. The roof top patio is a perfect place to grill and just high enough to see the water and enjoy sunrises and sunsets - which are amazing! We slept with the windows open and waking each morning to the sound of the surf could not have been better. The beach is a short walk away and is a beautiful white sand beach. It was very windy and quite chilly the week we were there so we did not get in the ocean. We did enjoy fires on the beach at night and looking at all the stars! The pool table provided hours of entertainment for all of us. The people in Los Barriles are kind and very friendly! Patrick was very easy to deal with, provided a lot of information, and responded to all of our questions promptly. We were very happy with our experience in this beautiful, and well-maintained Hacienda!

Baja at it's Best!

Hacienda Hoppe is the perfect vacation home located on the picturesque East Cape of Baja in the small seaside Buena Vista community. I have stayed there twice now. Ten days in paradise each time. The first was a laid back girls trip with friends. The second was a group of family and friends, including my two teenage daughters. Hacienda Hoppe accommodated us beautifully for both. With five bedrooms and a separate casita out back, there is plenty of space and room for even a large group. The house is gorgeous and fully equipped. Patrick and Maria are wonderful hosts and will see to your every need. We were steps away from what seemed to be our very own private beach, as lovely as any we have visited. Perfect for swimming, paddle boarding, and lazy lounging. Nothing like a peaceful stroll with white sand, aqua blue water, a cup of coffee, and the sun rising over the horizon. This view from the roof top palapa is equally stunning. Easy access to all types of amenities and activities if you choose – deep sea fishing, snorkeling, hiking. Also, day trips to La Paz, Cabo, nearby seaside national park, or inland mountain villages and waterfalls can add to your experience. The nearby village of Los Barilles had ample shopping, dining and entertainment for our needs. The people were so friendly, and we always felt comfortable and safe. But honestly, some of our best times were just hanging out at the beautiful open air hacienda. The courtyard in the center of the house with a small pool, swim-up bar, and hot tub was a favorite hangout at the end of a day on the boat or the beach. From there we would move to the rooftop to grill fresh seafood and sip margaritas with a breath taking view and ocean breeze. Ending the day, with a shower beneath the stars (yes, there is a great outdoor shower) and big comfy bed with nice linens and the sound of ocean waves. We highly recommend Hacienda Hoppe for the ideal Baja getaway. We look forward to returning any chance we get. Thank You Patrick and Maria for sharing your home and taking such great care of us!

We chose Hoppe Hacienda because of the opportunities they offered us . We are shooting a Baja documentary of fishing and spear fishing for the outdoor channel . We were extremely happy with the accommodations and activities provided . The experience and knowledge that HH possessed was beyond are expectations.
