Walk to beach! Cottage perfect for families.

Built in 2018 , 3 BR 2BA beach home with everything you need for a family stay. Carlow Avenue Beach has lifeguard on duty from 8-. House has open floor plan with dining room living room and kitchen bar. Comfortably sleeps 8! Full master BR with King Bed and master bath. 2nd adult BR with queen bed attached to 2nd bathroom, and 3rd BR with 2 bunk beds to sleep 4 kids. Outdoor shower and outdoor area under house with seating. Exterior also includes outdoor charcoal grill, and plenty of parking. Interior is very comfortable with everything needed in kitchen. Living room 55" smart TV, basic cable and internet . Washer and dryer in House. House is a very close walk to beach ( see aerial), and adjacent to the Wright Memorial. Carlow Ave beach has a lifeguard on duty!
Fishing Piers, restaurants, golf courses and lots of amenities close by. Everything is nearby for a family vacation in the Outer Banks!

My family and I had a wonderful time here. The host is very responsive, we had an issue with the microwave tripping a breaker, as well as a hurricane off shore during our stay. They were responsive with providing updates on both situations. The home is extremely family friendly with plenty of games, it’s also extremely clean and smells amazing! It’s extremely close to any activities and restaurants you can think of, and just a short walk or drive to two different beach access points.

Perfect beach house

Very nice, fairly new, clean beach house. Well equipped and a grill located in the front which we used twice! Great week. Perfect location.

Great family/group vacation

Overall the place was great and well kept. The owners did a nice job of making sure little things were taken care of before our arrival. Semi close to highway 12 and that gave a decent amount of road noise and furniture shows some wear, but overall a great time.

Family Vacation

Our trip was perfect. The house was extremely clean, nice, and just as we expected. The host communicated very quickly when we had a question. It was a short walk to the beach, but there was also plenty of parking if we had wanted to drive.

Super cute and very clean OBX rental

This property lives up to expectations. It is exactly as pictured and decorated super cute. It is very clean and modern amenities making it extra nice. The property is close to a lot and an easy walk to the beach. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay

Really enjoyed the property. Only issue was yard was not mowed so did not use the the picnic table and grill, but other than that we did not have any issues. We cooked at the house several meals and found everything we needed to make all the meals. If I ever came back to the area I would stay there again.

Very nice place to stay

We had a great time in the Outerbanks. Great weather, plenty of beach time, ran a 5k while there on the beach, Jockeys ridge, lighthouse. We did all the things ! House was VERY clean and owner was easy to contact. Only a couple blocks from the beach. Most importantly to us...NO ANTS. We have stayed in many places in the Outerbanks with ants and this definitely was not the case here.

Absolutely wonderful stay

My elderly parents, two toddlers, husband I and I stayed at Daniel’s house in September. The set up of the house was great for my toddlers and parents. The house was close to the beach, but we did drive most days because of all of the beach toys we needed to bring. The location of the house near the main highway was also great to explore other parts of obx. The shower downstairs was a nice touch for those returning from the beach. Only thing I would recommend is a better grill and maybe some bikes for use!

All the comforts of home

CLEAN! We have rented several houses at the beach and this one is by far our favorite. Well thought out floor plan with plenty of storage. Nicely equipped kitchen with good quality appliances. A nice outside sitting area with picnic table and chairs to relax in the evening. A short walk to the beach and plenty of public parking if you choose to drive. If we had any negative to share it would be the noise from nearby traffic. But who cares? We spend our days at the beach! We will be renting this house again!

Will stay again!

We absolutely loved out stay at Kill Devil Hills. The house is spacious, with high ceilings, and beautifully decorated. It had plenty of space for our party of 5 -- grandma, parents, and two kids ages 13 and 11. The kitchen was well-stocked and we cooked most nights. The short walk to the beach was no problem. On days when we wanted to bring everything -- cooler, tent, boogie boards, chairs, towels, etc -- we drove the car to the parking lot right at the beach and just hopped over the dune. We were on the beach all-day for 5 days. The last day it rained so we explored elsewhere. The location is perfect for a run to the Wright Brothers Memorial. Check in was easy, and the owners were available via text message the whole time. It was a dream!

Great house and location

My family enjoyed our stay at this house! Love that it is updated! It has nice big rooms which is great for putting a pack and play in a room. The outside down stair hang out area was nice and we used it a lot. We always stay in this area which makes it easy to walk to lots of places, including the beach! Great house over all! The cons of the house are while the rest is comfy and updated the sofas in the living room need to be replaced! One of the backs looks like it could break off and they are so hard to get out of. The grass hadn’t been cut and because of this we couldn’t grill or eat out back or let the kids play back there. Last the 9am check out is early compared to everywhere else we have rented. And having to wash blankets, take sheets off the beds, clean with cleaner the kitchen, etc while getting out of the house can be a lot!

Wonderful place!!

We loved staying in this house! It was clean, modern and had everything you needed. Super close to the beach (1 min drive, 4-5 minute walk). It was the perfect size for our family of 4. Dan was super quick to respond to my questions and was really easy to communicate with. Loved the area and definitely want to come back!

Perfect!

This is the second year my friends and I have rented Dans house. Both times the house was immaculate upon entry. The house is equipped with all you need. The location is also a great spot centrally located near grocery, beach (we use Prospect street showers and bathrooms) also close to great restaurants! The beach is in walking distance if your not carrying a bunch of things like we were! The only suggestion I can make is possibly to have some luggage racks, two of us shared the bunk bed and it’s tight with our luggage on the floor. Overall great time again and once we decide if we’re coming back to the OBX we’ll book with Dan again. Thank you!!

Very Satsfied

We were all very satisfied with this location. There was plenty of parking at the entrance to the beach if we didn't walk. Walking was only 5-7 minutes. Kitchen appliances were sufficient. We especially liked the cleanliness!!

cozy stay a few blocks from the beach

Clean, comfortable, and spacious spot in KDH. Perfect for an anniversary couple in the off-season (in our case) or a multi-family trip. Enjoyed the bright, open concept main area with full kitchen, dining room, living room. Right by the Wright Brothers Memorial, but nice and quiet - and close enough proximity to restaurants, grocery stores... and a Duck Donuts. Quick walk or drive to any of the public beach access lots/paths off US-158. I'd take this place in KDH over places further south in Nags Head, Avon, Rodanthe. Great first trip to OBX.
