Casa Woodbine is a charming 4-bedroom beachfront home located on the golden sands of Tamarindo Beach, just steps from the ocean and a short walk to town. With a private beachfront pool, daily housekeeping, and a prime location on the peaceful southern end of the beach, this home is perfect for families or groups of friends seeking a relaxed and authentic Costa Rican getaway.

Wake up to the sound of the waves, spot howler monkeys lounging in the Guanacaste tree on the property, and enjoy easy access to sunbathing, surfing, swimming, or even kayaking to Isla Capitán—all just outside your door.

Spacious and Comfortable

The home features 4 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to 8 guests. All bedrooms feature king-size beds, offering a luxurious and restful experience for every guest. Three of the bedrooms are private bed-and-bath suites, providing added comfort and privacy.

The open-air living and dining space offers a breezy, relaxed setting that opens onto the beach and pool area—perfect for spending time together while enjoying ocean views. Full air conditioning keeps the home cool and comfortable year-round.

Casa Woodbine was absolutely perfect! The location couldn’t have been better — right in the heart of Playa Tamarindo, within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and everything in town. The best part was that we took surfing lessons almost every day, and nearly all the surf schools (including the one we used) met right in front of the house. It made everything so convenient! The host was fantastic, the house was spotless, and we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. We’d go back in a heartbeat!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at our Vrbo in Costa Rica! The location right on the beach was stunning, and having a pool to enjoy made it even more perfect. The housekeeping, Conceirge, pool staff was incredibly attentive and kept everything spotless throughout our stay. And the chef—unbelievable! Every meal was delicious and beautifully prepared. This experience truly exceeded our expectations in every way. We can’t wait to come back!

Paradise

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. The location is ideal. It’s a short walk to town and restaurants in both directions. Right across the street is restaurant with excellent breakfast and coffee. It was amazing to walk out the back door and directly onto the beach that was perfect for surfing. The house provided chairs, a beach umbrella and cooler. The house also has a grounds keeper, who keeps the yard clean and pool lovely, and a house keeper who cleans the main living area each day. We were able to use the concierge service to set up a personal chef to make our dinners, surf lessons, massages at the house, and airport transfers. All the service providers were top notch! I didn’t want to leave at the end of our stay and I look forward to booking the house again in the future!

Fantastic home!

My family absolutely loved our stay and hope to return! The house has everything you need, and the pool was perfect. There is no shortage of pool or bath towels, which are replenished daily, and was very much appreciated:) The location is wonderful at the south end of town. You can walk to everything - on the street or on the beach. We loved embracing the Pura Vida lifestyle, learning more about Tamarindo from the locals, and supporting the local businesses in the area.

Great House and Location

This is our 2nd stay at this house. We love the fact that you can just walk out the back door onto the beach. The first time was before the renovation. It was unanimous decision the 2nd time. The rain got in the way a bit but those that surf thought the waves were better then. It would have been nicer to have a few more days of sunshine. We love the house and the renovations.

Disappointing that full disclosure of property not made. Pool filled with leaves every day, poor filtration, over heated Property adjacent to public access, noted accessed daily by dozens of people, dogs, horses, motorbikes. Front of property facing beach eroded with fallen trees, surf school allowed to specifically use all of property on beach front, no space for renters available One bed so hard it was not usable. Would not recommend this property for anyone at any price.

Great once again

We stayed in this home several years ago, pre renovations. The updates are great. Staff made check in very easy and helped with every step of our trip. We will be back.

A week of paradise

We’ve stayed in many VRBOs and this is the best so far! Amazing location - ON the beach and walking distance to grocery stores, shops and tons of great restaurants. We stayed for a week (no car) - Did a full day of excursions in Buena Vista (highly recommend), sunset Catamara (amazing), rode horses on the beach and up into the jungle (wow!). The town is very safe. People are so kind, food is fresh and delicious. The house was spotless and we had daily housekeeping and pool cleaning. Recommend you bring lots of cash though as some excursions, transportation and vendors don’t take credit cards. We already planning our next trip!

Enjoyable Trip

We were 2 families with our adult children. The property was conveniently located and is an easy walk to town, dining and fun activities. The house was clean and well taken care of with a friendly professional staff. Using the recommended chef for in home meal preparation was FANTASTIC! There will be folks on the other side of your secure fence on the public beach. Because there are trees by the fence the space is well used and some ladies do daily set up massage beds right at the path leading from the beach to the house. If having people hanging around just outside your fence is going to bother you, this is not the right property for you. We all had a great time and came home with wonderful memories. We enjoyed our time at Casa Woodbine and would recommend this property.

Perfect Friend’s’ Getaway

The villa exceeded my expectations!! It was spotless upon check—in, which was quite easy. We were met by an employee who gave us all the needed info. The rooms were all very nice with great bedding and linens. The bathrooms were well stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. My only suggestion in the bathrooms would be a hook on the back of door for hanging PJs or a bathroom. The living area was large and had plenty of seating. The kitchen had everything we needed. The only suggestion in the kitchen would be a cookie sheet for heating up our pizza! The water cooler was a nice surprise. It saved buying bottled water. The outside area was cleaned frequently by Elmer. He fought a losing battle against the leaves in the pool. But with the most massive beach I’ve ever seen, who needs a pool?? We asked for 2 extra beach chairs and they were delivered very quickly. Donna arranged golf cart rentals, zip lining, and a catamaran sunset cruise. All were exactly what we needed. She even arranged for someone to come rescue an earring that went down the drain. All communication during and after booking was excellent and every question I had was answered quickly. Special thanks to Beatrix and Donna for responding quickly to all my inquiries. Casa Woodbine was a perfect home for our group of 8 friends.

Family vacation

House was perfect for our needs with a great location to beach as well as having a pool! Big bedrooms with king beds for 6 adults! Our excursions were arranged by property and were great!!! We celebrated our daughter’s 39th birthday with cake and flowers that they also arranged for us!! Chef was fabulous for all our meals of breakfast and dinner!!! Would definitely go back!!!

A fantastic house

A perfect house in a perfect beach location. A walking distance to town and to restaurants. 2 issues that maybe some people could find as a problem: No Dishwasher and Laundry is 30$ a load ( washing and drying). Since the beach is Public, at holidays, locals would be Picnicking right next to the fence of the house. However, would still love to stay at this property again.

Fabulous location!

Casa Woodbine is a well maintained beach house in a fabulous location in Playa Langosta. The management company provides excellent concierge support and the maintenance and cleaning staff are outstanding.

We were had BEWARE

NO PRIVACY! This rental has a public access to the beach on the right hand side of the house, cars, motocycles and hundreds of people walking within a few feet of the backyard. People would camp out, barbecue, party from morning until night literally in the yard. We walked the beach and NO OTHER house had people camping on their lawn, we did. My bracelet was stolen the 5th day of our stay, and so it prompted me to turn the house upside down and I realized just how dirty the house was. Behind the beds and side tables were past customers old kleenexes, food, dirt, dead bugs and accumulated dust. I removed a contact lens from the bathroom wall??? None of us wear these. The refrigerator still contained other peoples food. I could go on and on but bottom line not worth the money we paid. We have been visiting CR fir 12 years now, I worry that Tamarindo is simply no longer safe for tourists, on our 4th day my 21 year old son and his girlfriend were threatened by a tweaked out sunglasses/drug vendor right in front of our rental. Very disappointing, we will not be back.:/

Awesome house & location

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Woodbine. The house is lovely, spacious and clean. The pool is not huge but was perfect for my kids to play around in. The beach is steps away from the house. One side note is that the beach is a public one, so it is not a private beach. We didn't mind at all - we enjoyed the action and excitement - particularly the multitude of firework shows on New Years Eve. The concierge who assisted us, Mariana, was really terrific. She was patient with our constant changes and organized wonderful outings, meals and a spectacular chef who came to cook several meals for us. If I could give this experience 6 stars, I would!
