Great family beach getaway.

This amazing beach house is second row from gulf, on a cul de sac, in a quiet community perfect for families. Youā€™re just across the street from the pristine beach. No vehicles allowed. Stunning gulf views throughout the house and deck. Spacious deck for soaking up those rays while relaxing and breathing in the sweet salt water breeze, drinking coffee or enjoying a cocktail. The beach house can accommodate 10 people. Two master bedrooms with full baths. Upstairs is our bunk room which sleeps 6 with a king bed and 2 sets of bunks. Each bedroom has Smart TV with Amazon Prime, Disney+, Netflix and DVD player. Living room is spacious with large windows that flood the space with natural light. This room also provides a small round table for game play. Living room has a Smart TV with Amazon Prime, Disney+, Netflix and DVD player. Dining room (large table perfect for everyone to dine together) and living room is an open concept. Kitchen is spacious with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. It is well equipped to prepare and serve meals. A washer and dryer is provided for your use in the hall half bath. Below the house, you will find a bathroom and outside shower. In addition to shower there is a garden hose to wash off sand before entering house. A storage room is available to guests with sand toys, beach chairs, wagon and hammock. We provide a Weber grill and picnic table for outside dining. End your day with a nice relaxing swing under deck as the sun sets. All linens provided including a few beach towels. Free WiFi available. There is a grocery store, bar and grill, gas station, golf cart and bicycle rental within a block from the house. The Sea Wall and the Strand Historic District are 20 minute drive. Come enjoy a family get away with us..

Amazing little neighborhood

This house was the perfect spot for our family. 4 adults 4 kids 3-12 and one toddler. The beach access was so close to the house, and you still have an ocean view from the deck. The house was extremely well equipped with everything we needed for cooking, grilling and beach toys. We really really enjoyed our stay and would 100% stay at this house again.

Well designed beach house

I live in Houston and have visited Galveston regularly all of my life. This house is in a great location, close enough to Galveston but far enough away for the beach to be less crowded. It's also a huge plus to our family that cars cannot drive on the beach (for the safety of our kids). We have stayed in many beach houses and really enjoyed this one overall. I am a pretty picky guest, but I would definitely stay here again. Here are my main thoughts on the house: PROS: - The house is very well designed. The two masters and bunk room w/ king sized bed upstairs could accomodate more than our 4 adults and 2 kids. The half bath downstairs would be very useful if we could have utilized it (see note). - The large dining table is really nice. - The owner has provided a wagon and beach toys, which were really useful and convenient. - The outdoor shower is equipped with hot water and really convenient! - Kitchen is large enough for a few people to be cooking/cleaning and not feel crammed. - The AC works great! Big deal in Texas, ha. - The owner communicated well with us and let us know in advance that the washing machine was not working. I packed extra clothes and towels in preparation and was glad to be notified. - We had to leave early due to Tropical Storm Beta. The owner helped us to get a refund from VRBO, which was extremely kind. (Side note: buy trip insurance if traveling here during hurricane season!) CONS: - I am not sure about the property management company, because the washing machine was left with standing water in it for weeks, which made the half bath on the main floor unusable. It smelled terrible, so we had to keep the door closed. We informed them of the issue but no attempt was made to resolve immediately (to be fair, we didn't ask or push for a resolution). I'm sure this issue will be resolved soon, but felt like it was worth noting. - The freezer door was extremely hard to open and close. The kitchen was moderately stocked, but everything was scattered all over the place and hard to find. It's' a beach house rental, so these are little things to be expected but I wanted to note them. - No pantry in the kitchen, so we had to find space for our food on counters and in cabinets. Overall I would definitely recommend this property. The layout, close beach access and amenities make for a really enjoyable time at the beach!

Family vacation

Great location, accommodated 5 adults and 2 young children. Kids stayed upstairs and would have been nice to have a door to that room. Otherwise property was favorable and positive and had what we needed for our family vacation. The downstairs ground level bathroom and shower were not working. Also AC unit went out for 3 days and nights. Property manager was great in resolving the issue as quickly as possible and keeping us updated and owners fully refunded us for 3 days.

Perfect Beach Location

This house sits one block off the beach with easy access to and from. We visited over Memorial Day weekend and this section of Jamaica Beach was not crowded at all. You are away from the public parking areas (which is where crowds tend to gather most) so it was really perfect for us. Our group of eight was very comfortable with plenty of space and everything we needed. Huge kitchen and large dinning area allowed us to cook and enjoy meals easily. The wrap around deck was perfect for relaxing with an incredible view of the beach (also could see our group from the deck so made it nice to keep an eye on everyone). Two master bedrooms (each with their own bath) and the bunk room was perfect for our four kids. This house has everything you need in the kitchen (minus blender - might have been operator error). If you like to cook I suggest bringing at least one good knife with you. Also need to bring your own beach chairs/umbrella, we rented a tent each day with chairs so this wasn't an issue. Great washer/dryer, looks brand new and was very convenient for cleaning swim gear/towels. Outdoor shower and hose made it easy to clean up after the beach each day. We really enjoyed this house and would definitely book it again!

Best house for the price hands down

I want to say that I'm going to review this house critically but I am a picky guest. With that being said I would absolutely stay here again and none of the cons are that big of a deal. This is the best house for the money in Galveston! Pros- -Great location! Beach access is just a cross the street. Only way to get a shorter walk is to get a house on front row -House is set up nicely. Was great for 2 families with kids. Adults each had a "master suite" and kids had a bunkrook upstairs. -Quite, small neighborhood that's far enough from the hustle and bustle of the seawall but still close to restaurants and gas stations should you need something. -Comfy beds and couches! And dining table sits 8! -the beach wagon, umbrella, and chairs were very convenient. We brought our own because they're bigger and we had room but you could get by with using theirs no problem. Cons- - while it did come with cookware, it was not in good shape. I would suggest bringing your own skillet and any spatulas, peelers, good knives you might use. -about half the sand toys were broken -floors were noticeabley dirty under couches and next to fridge. Not in a gross way, they just didn't get cleaned before we got there. There was also some trash (water bottle, lighter, dryer sheets) under the bed. Some other notes- Mosquitoes were TERRIBLE once the sun went down making the deck and undernhouse pretty much unusable. I would suggest fogging your first night and lots of bug spray. The drop off from dining room to kitchen is large. Watch small children. GALVESTON PICKS UP STUFF LEFT ON THE BEACH AT NIGHT SO MAKE SURE YOU BRING IN EVERYTHING! This info would have been nice to know in advance. We stayed on the beach until midnight them were coming back very early so we left our canopy and chairs. Galveston picked them up and took them to the dump.

We loved the location of this property!!!! Easy beach access and wonderful views. The layout of the house was amazing! The house was well stocked and made for a stress free getaway.

Great house close to the beach

House was perfect for our get away. I had a group of 8, 5 adults and 3 children under the age of 9. 3 kids my wife and I stayed upstairs it was perfect for us. Only negative was no restroom upstairs. The deck needs sanding and stain so make sure you wear sandals when walking on it. We sat on the deck enjoyed the ocean view and listening to the waves. Downstairs under the house was nice. You have a picnic table, shade and a great beeeze. Would definitely book this house again

Excellent Vacation Spot

The house was perfect, quiet neighborhood and perfect beach location. We have 4 teenage boys with my husband and I, they loved it. My son said I think this has been my FAV place we have stayed in Galveston! We will book again!

Spacious house within walking distance of the beach

We had a group of 10 and the house was spacious enough to accommodate everyone perfectly. We enjoyed gathering on the large patio where you could look out and see the ocean. The beach was a short walk from the house which was perfect for a large group with small children. The house was very clean and offered plenty of amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and would definitely book this house again!
