Popular with hikers and bicycle riders, the Pine Creek Rail Trail is a 62 mile converted railroad bed that travels along Pine Creek Gorge at the floor of the canyon. An article in USA Today named the Pine Creek Rail Trail one of "10 great places to take a bike tour" in the world. Local outfitters are available for equipment rentals and excursion information.

Had a wonderful stay for a long weekend. Did hiking and biking. Very comfortable and peaceful home. Loved the back porch.

Everything was exactly as shown and described.. We had a nice relaxing weekend getaway. Roxanne was very friendly and helpful. Finding the property and check in was very easy. The house has everything you could possibly need

It's great for us when our guests feel the same joy we have as a family at the cottage. We cannot take credit for its peacefulness but the Creek and Rail Trail are great amenities for area residents and visitors. Thank you for your kind remarks.

Roxanne was a great host! Replied quickly when we had an issue and even came to the house to make sure we were taken care of. Cute place, comfortable with a beautiful view of the creek in the back. Had everything we needed.

The views from and around the cottage are amazing. The location is great as it is very close to the Pine Creek Rail Trail. And the creek in the back yard is charming. The bedroom and bathroom heating and comfort of the bed were very much appreciated.

We loved this very warm hearted home. We stayed here due to running a trail race nearby. It had everything we needed and were very comfortable. Would definitely stay again! The neighborhood is gorgeous and surrounding area was fun to explore.

Roxanne was a great host! The house had plenty of room for our five guests. Very nicely furnished and kitchen was well stocked. The two bathrooms were very convenient. Internet worked well and very nice having the tv. We would enjoy staying again at this house. Maybe next time a visit in the Summer would be nice. Thanks for a great visit!

Eastern States 100 Recovery Retreat

Came to the Pine Creek area to run the Eastern States 100 and this house was great for our base camp and especially for relaxing and recovering after the race. The back yard space was beautiful with easy access to Pine Creek. Sipping coffee on the dock and sun porch and soaking in the creek in the afternoon was perfect! The large common room was nicely furnished and allowed the whole group to gather and share stories from the long weekend. Would stay here again for sure!

Overall had a good stay as location is the key here. We rode bike and enjoyed the creek by tube and kayak.

Perfect Location for Outdoor Fun

Beautiful location

My wife and I spent a long weekend to enjoy the fall leaves, hiking in the woods, and biking. The house is located right on Pine Creek and next to the bike trail, and has everything needed for a pleasant stay.

Great location, creek in the back was a great place to cool off during the 90 degree temps we had during our stay. House did not have air conditioning, only a window unit in master bedroom. Grill outside was nice, used it often to cook. Only issue we had was the floor when you walk in the front door feels like a trampoline, it wasn't very solid. Overall it was good, and would probably stay again. We were there for little League World Series week.

Yes. The floor in the foyer area of the cottage is scheduled for repair spring 2026. It's difficult to access from underneath and will definitely be a relief to have that project completed correctly.

Relaxing Graduation Weekend

Great place to stay with family while in town for a Penn State graduation. The location was beautiful and quiet. Love being able to walk out the back door and sit right by the water with a cup of coffee.

Wonderful!

We enjoyed four days at this cozy cottage on Pine Creek. It was the perfect spot to enjoy some bike riding on the rail trail and some fishing while also celebrating our son’s graduation from nearby Lock Haven University.
