3 bedroom.. 2 full bath... washer and dryer.. granite countertops.. stainless steel appliances... beautiful 30 x 18 foot deck with gas grill.. plenty of parking for vehicles and trailers... access to state game lands out the back door yet walking distance to Fin Fur and Feather or the Mountain Top Tavern ... just outside the beautiful Pine Creek Valley... just a few miles from rail tail.. hunting atv and snowmobile out the back door.. The cabin does have room for 8 but the guest rooms downstairs are smaller w a bunk. 8 adults in this house would be tight quarters and not recommended.
Just added new in 2022! Huge circular fire pit outside w chairs and updated the basement.

Beautiful place, well maintained. Plenty of parking for our vehicle and our UTV trailer. Outdoor fire pit area was great. House is well furnished and stocked with everything you need to cook your meals. House had a great layout and plenty of room. Definitely would book it again.

A nice place but...

Tried hard to write this review. I want to be fair to owner and potential renters alike. The place is nice. We've stayed in nicer for the money however. It's pretty much as advertised although the cleaning needs to elevated (don't lift the toilet seats for example). If you rely on WIFI as most people do - particularly in remote areas like this where cell service is spotty - then you need to understand that this property uses a Verizon hot-spot and there are no arrival instructions that have the password. I had to call the owner to find out where the device was hiding and then look for the password. Don't bother texting. We only used the loft bedroom so I can't comment on the window air conditioners downstairs. The upstairs one is loud... very loud. It will wake you up loud. Otherwise, nice house and property.

A Clean, Comfortable, and Convenient Getaway

We booked a nearly one-month stay at Frank's cabin and we couldn't have been happier. There are so many positives to list about the cabin - the home was incredibly clean, all the linens fresh, the showers hot, the kitchen well stocked, all appliances in great condition, climate control easy to use, beds comfortable, and the surroundings peaceful. Perhaps the only negative I could offer is that of internet/cellular reception and speeds. Frank was a communicative, flexible, and thoughtful host. Highly recommended!

Wonderful mountain vacation!!

Frank is a wonderful host and that cabin was beautiful and well stocked!! We spent the days kayaking and evenings by the fire pit and the Stars wowza!! Beautiful!! The grill on the deck was super to help make some wonderful dinners! We did check out the Mountain Top Provisions just down the street from the cabin, which was wonderful. Also Good Neighbor Craft House at the base of Hyner overlook. That is a super place! Great beer, food and the folks that work there are wonderful!! WE had a wonderful family vacation in the mountains!! We will definitely go back!!!

Mountain house ladies retreat

We had a fun weekend. The property was beautiful but maybe a little too secluded for our group. You are in the mountains so don't expect the wifi to be fantastic. The ownerā€™s directions were perfect. We spent most of our time in the main living space with deck and views. Plenty of clean amenities and the communication was great!

Great cabin!

We stayed at the cabin from dec 27 to Jan 1st, we were 4 adults and 3 kids and 2 small dogs. Everything worked perfectly, the cabin is wonderful, clean, comfy and has everything we needed. The area is quiet and romantic. Frank helped us a lot. We hardly recommend the house and the area!

Perfect place in a perfect setting

We absolutely loved the property. We had family ranging from the mid 80s to mid teens. Everyone loved the arrangement. The property is much better than described. When making the arrangements, Frank made sure we understood the layout of the bedrooms which we greatly appreciated. The set up was perfect. We utilized the game room (great foosball wars), the deck, grill and the great kitchen set up. Our dogs loved when we took them through the woods on Sunday. You wonā€™t be disappointed!

Unbelievable Mountain Cabin Experience

Our family had an unbelievable one week mountain cabin experience in Pennsylvania from 26 Dec - 02 Jan. Franksā€™s cabin is beautifully nestled near the mountaintop, with access to so many awesome adventures. Plus, the property itself is private and the interior of the cabin is beautiful and exquisitely built. The spiral staircase leads to a spacious, private upstairs Master loft with Master bath. The downstairs bedrooms have two sets of bunk beds that were perfect for our four children. So the sleeping arrangements for 7 nights couldnā€™t have been better. The interior of the cabin is full of mountain decorations, with a wonderful, open living room and kitchen, with a perfect gas fireplace. The downstairs basement is super fun with a foosball table and atari, wood fireplace, and bar. During our stay, we enjoyed the PA Grand Canyon, local mountain restaurants, one full day skiing @ Sawmill, Hiking trails @ Ott Creek, ATV Trails, snowed 2 days, firepit outside, and lots of great family time. We disconnected the kids from phones/social media for the week, and had an absolute blast. Strongly recommend this trip for anyone!
