Thanks for acknowledging me as an amazing host Dawn, that's very kind of you. I thought I'd already communicated regarding the small issues you had upon check in and feel your comments are a little unfair. For the benefit of any potential future guests I will explain the situation. Our wonderful housekeeper Ayu had been off work for an extended period on maternity leave, the freelance staff replacing her made a mistake by putting old bedding when you checked in, this was changed to our new bedding before you used the bed. Normally we don't have cobwebs anywhere, but if there was one then if you had pointed it out to my staff it would have been immediately removed. The bedrooms are sprayed daily to remove insects and mosquitos. The upstairs bathroom is a closed bathroom (not open air like the downstairs bathroom is). Honestly I have no idea what you mean by livestock smells, our villa is situated in a residential area, there is no livestock for miles. We have been renting for 15 years and this is the first time I ever had a comment like this. It's also the first time a guest has commented on our door system, maybe you are not used to staying in fully serviced properties. As is normal in any property with 24 hour staff, the job of the staff is to let you in and out of the villa. All you have to do is ring the doorbell or call our butler on whats app and they let you in. Guests generally prefer this system, rather than carrying around sets of keys with them.

We're glad you enjoyed your stay Tim and hope to host you again. Perhaps you didn't realise that it was Galungan during your stay. This is a 3 day holiday for the Balinese new year and is the most important ceremony in the Balinese calendar. However my staff were still working during this time, whilst taking time when they could to participate in their important ceremonial duties at their local temples. If you needed them you could have called or messaged them via whats app, they always give their numbers to guests when they check in. Normal practice is to change towels every 2 days, there must have been a delay with the laundry being closed due to the holiday, Apologies for this, my staff should have explained this to you better.
