Affordable and across the street from the beach

We had a party of 5 and there was definitely enough room for all of us. The condo was cute and clean. It had everything needed to cook or bake. Plenty of bath towels. The private beach is across the parking lot and then across the street....so close. I would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyable Stay

My family of 3 had a really nice time at property. Unit was roomy enough and had plenty of supplies to get through long weekend. Beds and couch was comfortable. There was a laundry room, for a fee, on every floor which would have been nice if we needed it. The only con for me was the very small balcony. It only had one small chair on it. But not a deal breaker would definitely book again.

Late June vacation

We had an all girls vaca where we had plans of being on the beach and in the pool as well as walking to shops and restaurants. We had a lovely condo to stay in. Each day we were there it rained buckets and buckets of rain. The plus side was the one day we were able to go to the beach wich was accessed directly across the 2 lane street from our condo! The ocean water was the best I have ever been to this far in my vacations. Bath water warm with the cool breezes all around us. We had plenty of room to choose where we wants to lay our towels down to lay out. When we were chased indoors from the rain and storms we had the TVs to watch. It would have been nice to have had card games to choose from to give us other things to do. Perhaps have a Bingo night, a craft night to make and take something from the beach scene as a keepsake. Young and old would like this to fill in rainy days such as the full 3 days we were there. Overall it was a great get a way to the Ocean.

Staying at Gulfview II

The bad- The unit is in need of repair and maintenance.(shower handles were broken as an example) Whoever does the cleaning should be fired, not a good cleaning job at all. We said 6 people were coming and only 5 towels were provided. There were only 3 forks. Other units in complex were better deals, ( some provided umbrella and chair service at the beach) and other units were better kept up. I would shop around. The Good- Quiet. Ok view. At least you can see the ocean. Beach access. Parking. I did call Vacasa and they did offer to come out and bring towels.

Good for the price.

Pros: very close to beach, comfortable beds, nice shower head. Cons: no elevator (pack light if you're on the 3rd floor) and stairwells are outdoors, Keurig, but no coffee pot, no ice maker or ice trays

Place was filthy. Dishes in the cabinet were covered in mold. There was one 6” skillet to do all the cooking for the family. The beds we full of sand. The ceiling fan was covered with a years worth of thick dust. The only way to lock the patio door was with a stick because the lock was broken. Would never stay here again. Save yourself the money and the disappointment.

I recommend this place for your stay in Destin

Great location and everything you will need for accommodations. Just two complaints. The pots and pans and toaster seriously need replacing. Pots and pans are in horrible shape and the toaster doesn't toast and barely warms up the bread. We considered replacing them because they are so bad but decided it wasn't our responsibility. Second, the mattress in the bedroom is definitely cheap quality and not comfortable. Other than that this vacation rental cute and is very reasonable, especially for the location.

Great stay with a few hiccups

Overall our stay was wonderful. We had a few issues during our stay primarly with door access. Before we arrived we were sent a code to access the property - that code was changed without us knowing. As soon as we arrived we had to call customer service to get the new code to enter our rental. Additionaly we were not given the code to access the private beach access so we had to call for that. A couple days into our trip the door code was changed again.

Beach front only steps away from a private beach so nice and less crowded. Apartment's maintenance could have been a little better ;p

Accuracy issues

The street view of the condo shows it as a burnt red color - it is not. It has been painted an is actually a baby blue. This Made it hard to find. There is no washer/ dryer IN the unit. The only ones available are coin operated. ones in the hallways. Which is super inconvenient. There was an issue between condos Gulfview 1 and 2 apparently bc someone had made a poster and hung it up for everyone to see. It said something about access being denied and that we should “know the facts”. It was strange. Unit was clean but maintenance is needed in the fixtures in the bathroom (broken light and rusty mirrors)and the tv in the main room has something wrong with the screen. Bright spots all over the screen.
