This property definitely gets a five star plus. The beds were very comfortable.Great appliances in the kitchen, a lighted fishing pier.The hosts were easy to work with and instructions were very plain and clean up was simple.

The most incredibly beautiful beach house I've ever seen! Excellent service, super responsive hosts! The home was exquisite, incredibly decorated, five star accommodations, sparkling clean! We slept like babies on the fluffy soft beds in the incredibly beautiful bedrooms! My highest rating ever, we will definitely be back! Just steps away from the clean, almost private beach, we could even drive over and park on the beach and bring all our stuff. The brand new dock on the bay made fishing a joy, and there were tons of games to play at night on the deck. What an incredible place, and an incredible visit!!

Graduate celebration

We had such a great family vacation celebrating my grandsons graduation! The rental is absolutely beautiful, the owners were very responsive to our requests and we even caught fish.

Sunshine on a rainy day!!

Great place to stay! It was raining most of the time we were there. Staying indoors was not on the agenda, but since it was a must most of the time, Iā€™m glad we had a place that was so spacious and enjoyable! There were 12 of us and the house was very accommodating for the group!

Beautiful!

The property was beautiful. It was a perfect set up for us, we have 6 grandkids and they stayed in the loft. We caught 7 crabs which was so much fun for the grandkids! All the decks were wonderful. We definitely will come back next year!

Great place for large family or multiple famlies

This place was awesome for our crew. Crabbing on the pier, beach a short buggy ride away. We even enjoyed several morning walks tot he beach. The crowd next up top is a great place to watch the sunset with a glass of wine. Great set up for large or multiple families. Kids lived the bunk room upstairs and the main area was great for 3 families. Thanks for a great spot. We will be back.

Amazing huge house. So beautiful!

The house had everything and it is so elegant. All the kids were asking if we are coming back next year. The fishing pier was new with 2 benches on it. Fishing was great! In 2 days we caught 10 fish. One was a black drum that was 33 inches and weighed 21 pounds. The owners are awesome people and allowed us to check out a little late.

Great Texas Getaway

We haven't been to the Surfside area in quite a few years and were amazed at how clean the beaches were! The views of all the refineries does make you question what you're getting into, but the when you get to the house all of that doubt goes away! This house makes you forget any of that is even there. Everything was as described and the owners were extremely kind and responsive. This house was big and spacious where the 16 of us didn't feel on top of each other. The surrounding area has a calming quiet to escape the big city buzz. All of the beds are comfortable, even the couch! The sunset views were amazing from the balconies or from the dock. But bring bug spray! The organic stuff doesn't work. And be sure to bring your groceries as the stores nearby have some things but may be limited. Also, bring some bottled water especially if you're picky about how the color of your water. They have filtered water at the kitchen sink that I drank without any issues but the girls kept to the bottled. Also, the owners have placed helpful signs on doors, bathrooms and a big binder with instructions for everything. So, if you can't figure something out that's on you. The beach is easy to get access by car or foot so if you forget something its not a big hassle. Definitely need to watch out for the passing cars when walking. Overall we had a wonderful stay and have already started to plan another stay at this house again. Thank you again to the owners for their hospitality.

Great home for large families

Very nice house. Plenty of space for a large family or group.. Had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook.. Large loft area was great for all the kids to retreat to. Hosts are very fast with communication and very nice. Every question I had was answered within 5 minutes. Didnt catch any fish off the deck but did catch a. Stingray and one small crab.. Very very pretty sunsets every night with plenty of porch to choose where to view it..

Annual Family/ Friend Trip

We had a large group of family and friends stay for an annual trip and our stay was excellent. The house gives you the best of both fishing and beach, with having the pier and the beach just across the street. It was perfect for our group. The interior is beautiful with a good layout for a large group. We did bring baby gates, as we had young children and I'm glad we did as the spiral staircase outside would have made all the mamas very nervous. Also, the owners are very kind and were quick to respond with any questions we had, and even left a bowl of fruit for us. Overall, we would not hesitate to book this home again!

Amazing Home

Absolutely the most amazing rental property ever! Had our birthday trip here and we didnā€™t need to decorate at all because the decor does the house beyond words! Amazing host, answered so quickly! You could see the bay from the back and the beach was walking distance from the front! The kids loved the upstairs and it was perfect room! Beyond worth it!

Peaceful

The views of the beach and bay were breathtaking and very peaceful and never got old. The property has impressive double height ceilings, expansive kitchen, integrated living room and dinning room, ideal for entertaining large groups and families. Beds were comfortable and communication with owners was great.

Beautiful home and wonderful hosts

We had our annual families reunion at this beautiful property. We stayed for 4 nights. The home is beautiful and super clean. The upstairs with bunkbeds was perfect for our younger generation to hang out and play games. Kitchen was well equipped. House was clean and thought out. Owners welcome gesture with a big bowl of fresh fruits was a surprise and very much appreciated. The only thing I'd suggest for future guests is to bring essentials, such as laundry soup, dish soap, hand soaps & detergents, and sanitizer for surfaces. Also, some kitchen essentials such as ziploc bags, cling wrap and aluminum foil. Luckily, we came well prepared. Over all, we had a great stay. The pier out to the bay for fishing was a hit with the guys and the kids. Thank you again for letting us stay at your beautiful home.

Stunning home

The house is absolutely beautiful - a real stand out in the Surfside/Freeport area. We rented two houses for a large family get-together, and this house was the hangout. The house is on the bayside, and there is a new pier where we enjoyed great crabbing. The actual beach is across the street, but you get views of both from the porches that wrap around the house. The house is about 45 min from downtown Galveston/strand area, and we really enjoyed the remoteness of it. There are restaurants and a small grocery store nearby. The owners are extremely responsive and pleasant to work with. Highly recommend.

Beautiful home

Staying in this home was an awesome experience. Wish we had more time to stay. Fishing off the pier was great and caught something every evening we fished. The public beach access was a short neighborhood block away or even 30 second drive away. This home had so many amenities which made it easier to enjoy. We would stay here again!

Beach Beauty

This house is almost too beautiful to be a beach house! It was perfect for our family 4th of July celebration. An upstairs area that is perfect for family with small children, great communication with owners, a pier for fishing, and porches to enjoy fantastic sunsets are just a few of the pluses for this gorgeous house. Highly recommend!!

Great family vacation

My family of 10, ages from 7 to 79, had a blast at this house. The views are amazing and its location right next to the bay and a short walk to the beach meant we spent every morning fishing and crabbing off their newly rebuilt pier and the afternoon enjoying the beach. The outdoor shower made it easy to keep the sand out of the house! When it stormed, the house was spacious enough that we were all able to find a cozy spot to hang out, chat and play board games. We cooked almost all of our meals at the house and it really had all of the utensils, cooking and baking implements we neeed as well as a large pantry to keep all of our supplies. Mike and Jeanie were super welcoming and responsive. Overall, just a really fantastic and memorable trip.
