Welcome to our top-floor bayfront retreat, designed with families in mind, offering the perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and a hint of luxury, hosted by Vacation Homes by Kelly.

Each newly renovated condo features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to six guests per unit, with a total of 12 guests between both condos.

Great time

We used 3N and 3S for a mini family reunion. Accommodations were excellent. Near many places to eat. Since the units face the bay, it’s relatively quiet. The ocean is a short walk. We’ve used the units several times over the years and plan to visit again Barbara Z

Perfect Family Beach Vacation

In August we travelled to San Diego from Canada (2 families) and met up with one more family, from Arizona, to celebrate a 70th birthday. There were 8 of us ranging from age 71 to age 3 and we rented both the Bayfront North and the Seaside South Condos. We LOVED everything about them...very clean, cupboards well stocked with dishes etc and the proximity to the beach, beach rentals, Belmont Park, coffee shops, restaurants made everything simple and enjoyable for us all. We also loved the fact that we were the only ones who had access to the third floor and kept the doors to each condo open so the kids could run from one to the other. Thank you for providing such great accommodations; we had a fabulous time and we hope to come back one day!

Spacious Condos & Amazing Views!

We had four generations of family from ages 2- 83 spend 5 nights in both condos. The space has been beautifully maintained, and the views of the bay are gorgeous from the two living areas. It was so nice to go down the stairs, grab some chairs and toys by the back door, and be sitting in the sun and looking at the bay in less than a minute. Beach towels were also provided. The bay side was much easier for watching the two toddlers, who played for hours in the sand. It was also fun to watch the many different people walking the path and the different activities on the water. It was a great community space. We did go to the ocean side, but the little ones got instantly wet and then cold, so we didn’t stay long. The condos are a 5 minute walk to a strip of family friendly restaurants, which was nice, as the great grandparents and the toddlers could walk there with the rest of us. Belmont Park with rides for the little ones was just 2 minutes further. We cooked breakfast in the condos every morning and had everything we needed. The large dining area in the south condo was especially nice for a group. The main access to the two condos is by a small elevator, which was very convenient for strollers and great grandparents. Dani and Kelly were very welcoming and helpful with a few questions before the trip. Once we were there, everything was perfect, and we didn’t need anything. Beautiful property & perfect location! We had a wonderful time!!

Great Bay Views.

The units and the building had been updated this Spring. Everything was in great shape and very clean. Enjoyed the views of the bay from the third-floor balconies. We had six adults and five children in our group, so the two adjoining units provided plenty of space for everyone. Great place for a family beach vacation!

Terrific Mission Beach Vacation

Excellent stay - loved having two condos just across the hall from each other. Reserved parking was a plus. Beautiful views of Mission Bay and a 10 minute walk to Mission Beach. Kitchens were well equipped for a rental. Big living areas allowed us to spread out and relax after a day of surfing or hanging out at the beach. Good restaurants nearby and easy access to the rest of San Diego. Was definitely a hit with our extended family.

Great family getaway

We rented the two 3rd floor apartments - one 2-bedroom for me, my husband, our daughter and her husband - the other 2-bedroom for 4 of our grandchildren, all in their mid-20s. The set up was perfect, the views in each apartment were fantastic and both apartments felt like being home. Strongly recommend!

Awesome place

We had the best time! We loved the location and we were able to make it work for all 12 of us! We loved the 2 condo set up, plenty of room to cook and play. It was so convenient to walk to the beach on the bay, and they have easy access to chairs and toys for the kids. It was also an easy walk to the "big beach" and cute coffee shops and dining options within walking distance. Kelly was quick to respond and very helpful with any questions. Highly recommend!

Nice accommodations, great view, great location!

This is a great deal for a large family. We had 12, 8 adults and 4 children. At first we thought the two separate condos conjoined by a hallway would be awkward, but it actually worked out better than expected! Two refrigerators, two kitchens, two living rooms were extremely beneficial. The location is fantastic... directly in front of the Bay and two blocks from the open ocean boardwalk. We would go back!

Mission bay condo

The place had windows that were broken , sliding doors that did not slide, mold in the shower, broken down chairs on the balcony, a non functioning coffee maker, and rusted out and broken beach chairs. The location and view were good The place needs a complete cleaning and overhaul

Mission Beach Condo

We stayed five nights with our adult children, their spouses and three young grandchildren. The condos were clean with comfortable beds and furniture. The kitchens were adequately stocked and everything worked okay. We did have one leaky toilet we discovered the evening we arrived but Dani, the property manager, responded immediately and while she wasn’t able to fixit herself, she was able to get a plumber out the next day. It is an older building and is a bit tired looking here and there, but maintained pretty well

A bit outdated

Every year we gather the family to spend Christmas somewhere in California. This past year we chose San Diego and we rented the units top floors from December 21 to December 28, 2022. The set up was perfect where grand-parents, parents, and young teenager could be together. The listing looked good but when you arrive and look closer at the kitchens and bathrooms they are outdated thus we think the units were over priced.

Family Vacation

The property is located in a great location for family and kids. The bay is right outside and just a few steps from the condo. There is a kitchen and a great view of the bay. It is walking distance to the arcade, park, the community pool, and several restaurants. The cons of the property is that it is dated and in need of some remodeling. There is popcorn ceiling and the restrooms are from the 70s. It wasn't the cleanest place. The floors were dirty and gritty. The balcony had broken tiles and the floor was also quite dirty.I wasn't comfortable having my daughter walk around the condo barefoot.

Terrific location, nicely updated units

Location location location! This is an awesome section of the Bay on which to stay! Easy walking distance to the Bahia Bell boat cruise ($10 if you are not staying at that resort but check Groupon, too - we heard them mention that. You can stay on the boat as many back & forth trips from the Bahia to the Catamaran as you like once you are aboard. Adults only after 9:30, ends at the Bahia at 11:30. Really good DJ - very responsive to requests if you dance! Just show up at the dock on the half-hour, no pre-ticket purchase is necessary.) Easy walk to Starbucks kitty-corner from the roller coaster, which was an excellent spot for people watching! Took the long way home to zig zag through the sweet little pocket neighborhoods. Love looking at the flowers and plants that grow outside there vs. as houseplants her in the Northwest. Easy walk to the waves! Bring a shorty wetsuit (we were there mid-June) to enjoy the waves until you are tired instead of cold. Grab a boogie board from the house (several are snapped, though, so you may want to pick one up. We paid $26 for the hard-bottomed larger size ones at one of the little shops between the Bay and Ocean. Good choice! They do have a weight limit though as our +200lb buddy found out.) For Bay fun get in touch with SUP California. Zeke was AWESOME. We called about paddleboards for that day on a whim. He delivered them almost to our door (about 150 ft down the beach at a pullout) within a half-hour, gave us a quick lesson, and turned us loose with instructions to text him when we wanted him to pick them up - not too late, he requested. Preferably before 10pm, lol! They were also less than half the price, for more time, than the rental company by the Bahia. You can find them on the web and on Facebook. Zeke was really responsive to a FB message. Loved the laminate & tile floors - carpet is ridiculous at the beach, imho, but we spied a lot of houses that had it. smh The elevator was great for my mom who's not as mobile as she used to be. Terrific views out of both units of the Bay, the sailboats, the marinas.... just a lot to watch from the lanai. A little less rambunctious than the Ocean side, too, from what we observed with both ears and eyes. While this isn't a place we can afford to stay regularly it was a terrific choice for my mom's retirement trip with the friemily. Kelly, the owner, was super responsive via email and really easy to work with when we had questions.

Cheaper than the resort

This property was an excellent and cheaper option than staying at the Bahia. We had a party of 10 including 2 children and this was perfect. Kelly Garman went above and beyond prior to our arrival as others attending the wedding did not have great experiences with their booking of their hotel or other rental properties, i reached out to Kelly to assure everything was still a go. I was assured everything was fine and provided our check in instructions. We checked in and the condos were a nice place to relax prior to the wedding and after. The proximity to the Bahia was perfect, we walked to and from the wedding both on the sand and on the path. The condos had all the things we needed and then some to make our visit relaxing and entertaining. Thank you Kelly for the wonderful visit, we hope to get around to coming back next year.

Great location and views!

Not quite what we expected but worked out pretty well. Property managers were polite and responsive to concerns. The units don't have A/C but not a big deal for when we were there. The South Unit got pretty warm during the day and took while to cool off at night. Roll-a-way beds were actually comfortable. We had a group of 12 (7 adults and 5 children). We did have 2 infant/toddlers (11 months and 12 months old). The cribs and high chairs were a plus for us. The beach was only a 5-7 minutes walk. The view of the bay from the condos was really nice. Overall it was good. I would consider staying there again now that I know more. Parking is tight. The elevator-only access was weird and sometimes inconvenient, but with our group taking up both condos on the third floor it was nice to leave the front doors open to walk back and forth between the units.

Family celebration

This was a 4 generation family trip to celebrate finishing chemo. We needed an accessible place for wheelchairs. This fit the Bill. Great views, great neighborhood. Ages ranged from 6-81. This space supported all of these different needs. Thank you so very much!!

Perfect Location and Beautiful Setting

We stayed on the third floor, renting both 2 bedroom units. The elevator was a great asset. We are five senior friends who have been traveling together for 40 years. The condo has beautiful views, and a beach walk is just out the front door. Renters need to realize that the units have not been updated; however, everything works and is clean. Everything works except the icemaker. Be sure to buy ice. Also, we did not have soap, shampoo, or lotion provided in the bathrooms. However, the detergent was provided in the kitchen. We had a marvelous stay!

Great location to all and very functional

We had our family for graduation, ages 22-89. and both units worked just great. We wished we could have had a patio to all hang out on but due to weather, it didn't matter. And considering we needed a place for 9 to accommodate older people who couldn't do stairs, it worked out just perfectly. Owner is great and very responsive. Highly recommend this property. Thank you for making it a great stay for our family.

Three night stay

Great location for family getaway. One sixteen year old and two young adults walked to Belmont Park and beach both day and night without issue in unfamiliar surroundings. Plenty of places to catch a bite to eat. Bikes and scooters were easy to come by. Good people watching spots. Nice place to visit.

As Arizonans, we spent our summers traveling to San Diego. Chris’s family now lives here, and Kelly has cherished childhood memories of staying in the same vacation rental each year.

We had always dreamed of owning a home by the water, and in 2006, that dream became a reality when we purchased our South condo. The following year, the condo across the hall became available, and it’s now our North condo. What we never anticipated was that this journey would evolve into a successful adventure lasting over 19 years. We truly enjoy running our small business and take great pleasure in hosting guests from all around the world.

As hosts, our goal is to ensure you feel right at home and have everything you need. Our property manager, Dani, who has been with us almost from the start, is nearby and available if you need anything during your stay. Please don’t hesitate to reach out— we’re here for you!
