Watch the dolphins swim by each morning and afternoon, enjoy the incredible sunsets from your comfortable, convertible Euro Loungers while watching your favorite TV show. 

Whether you want to sit & relax - watching people from all walks of life travel the boardwalk or invite friends to BBQ on the huge patio, this vacation rental is equipped for it all! Including bikes & parking (a commodity worth gold near the beaches). 

This beach house is loaded with features, including 3 swing arm mounted 4K TV's, under counter lighting, fully stocked kitchen (fully equipped to handle even a Thanksgiving dinner!), built-in Washer & Dryer, and so much more! You will be in 7th heaven sleeping in one of the high-quality beds; Calvin Klein sheets, towels & pillows come from a 5 star luxury hotel supplier. 

Every detail is attended to. We own 6 properties on the beach and bay and pride ourselves in offering 5 star service!

Such a Great Location

We had a great time staying here! The sleeping accomocations were perfect for our group. They even had extra roll out beds. We loved being right on the beach and having a kitchen to prepare our food. Would definately recommend this place.

Baseball & beach

Super easy access to the beach. Boys loved playing baseball on the fields and wiffle ball on the beach. I think the sunsets out the front window was the best part.

Great place on the boardwalk!

We really enjoyed our stay, the location was great and within walking distance to many restaurants, shops, the pier and about a 20 minute walk to Belmont park. We loved being so close to the beach and really enjoyed the chairs, umbrellas and toys provided!

Perfect location

This condo is the perfect location. Watch the sunrise just a couple blocks away on Mission Bay and watch the sunset out your window on the beach! Condo was clean and had all you need for cooking. We would totally stay here again!

Lovely property right on the beach

We spent a wonderful week at this beautiful beach house. The location was perfect, close to everything. Parking is a little bit challenging if you have more than one car.

Great Location

Location can't be beat. Great for people watching and beach access. 2nd bathroom was not cleaned well or stocked with bath towels. Shower also leaks water every time you use it.

Awesome location, great property.

We loved the location, right on the boardwalk and within walking distances to great food and coffee in PB. Parking included is a plus, but the spot is small and tight (like all parking in PB and Mission Beach.) Hot water was hard to come by in the showers and the beds were a little sandy upon checkin. It’s the beach, so we get it. Otherwise, comfortable spot with everything you need for a long weekend in San Diego. Recommend for sure.

Nice location.

Unit was not ready at 4:00 check in. Happy with the location and the cleanliness. Good size unit. Comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. Would stay here again for the view. But there is a lot of foot traffic going by right in front of the unit, if that bothers you.

Relaxing

We stayed for a week on Mission Beach. Very relaxing. When we walked in to the Beach House we realized there was no Air Conditioning. We did not need it. With the windows open it was cool and breezy. I would stay here again. It is steps to the beach. My kids loved every minute of it.

Beachfront Bliss

This property is located in the heart of one of the best areas in San Diego. The stunning ocean view from the living room and kitchen is worth the visit alone. The bedrooms are comfortable and clean and the property has all you'll need for a beach stay. You can walk anywhere along the boardwalk or conveniently park and drive. We had some crazy surf during our stay and got to meet our host who was there ready to ensure our comfort and safety. Mauricio was wonderful and we had great communication before, during and after our stay. We will be returning for sure. Thank you for sharing your place with us, we had a fantastic visit.

Not truly accessible but worth the trouble!

I first found this property using the wheelchair accessible filter. The unit is actually up two stairs, so anyone who uses a wheelchair full time will need to be with a capable able-bodied companion to navigate those. Once inside, there is a roll in shower and a bed that is at a reasonable height to transfer in and out of, making it a better option than most property available for short term rental. The view is amazing - both of the ocean and the sea of humanity passing by on the walkway. We thoroughly enjoyed the area and hope to be back.

Perfect stay

We had a wonderful weekend! The location on this beautiful beach is perfect. Staying in the unit was perfect, as well. It was quiet, clean, comfortable, and spacious for our group of 6 adults. We used the grill outside which worked great. The only minor complaint was some items in the kitchen were missing or very old, such as no casserole dish, 1 small skillet, and no hand mixer. We improvised and didn't let it slow us down, though! The unit is well-stocked otherwise and we would definitely stay here again.

Location is PERFECT! And the only thing that would bring me back.

The location of the property was absolutely perfect! Right on the beach and down the road from the local bar district. Overall, I would say the stay was just nice, and I will probably opt for a hotel next time. There didn't seem to be any air conditioning to speak of, parking was difficult, and there were bugs in the bathtubs. Check out felt rushed because the check-out time was early and the list of things that I had to do as the guest for cleanup was long. The outside common area seemed neglected and the grill looked like it hadn't been cleaned or touched up for a couple hundred uses. Lastly, we saw that some of the pillows were yellow after we took the pillow cases off.

Great location and very responsive owner

Great location right on the boardwalk in Mission beach. Walking distance to grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants, and shopping. Owner very responsive, for example coffee maker wasn't working, responded to email within minutes and brought a brand new one and made sure it was working. Very friendly and super helpful!! My elderly parents arrived before we did and owner was there and even helped my parents unload car and bring luggage in. Will definitely stay here again!!

Maurice Maio, a long time San Diego resident and well known successful businessman, started the San Diego Beach King Vacation Rental company in 2000. His first property was the Sleek Retreat purchased in 2000 which is the recipient of many awards including "House of the Year" and "HGTV House Hunter's On Vacation" series.

Mr. Maio took over the family plumbing, heating & air business at age 19 after his losing his father. Starting with 1 truck and no trades knowledge, the company grew to over 50 in less than 5 years and was modeled throughout the world thru the Maio Success System. Mr. Maio developed many innovated business practices and has hosted over 1200 seminars worldwide. He sold his companies to a wall street firm and began his vacation rental business.

Since it's inception, The San Diego Beach King has offered it's clients first class service at reasonable rental rates. Each property is carefully maintained and decorated with style. The Maio team runs smoothly and you'll see him smiling visiting the properties often. He loves Mission Beach, knows where to eat, where to rent, where to surf. Your vacation is his vacation and you'll see it when renting one of his properties that he owns or manages.
